Top 10 Most Meaningful Songs
This list is based off of pure meaning and lyrics that go deep into your soul.
Such a very beautiful and meaningful song. It's so truthful and lovely, his words are inspirational and honest. Let's all live in harmony and unity, to come together as one and become. This is a beautiful song that everyone needs to listen too. Tears come to my eyes when this song is played, it's so true. The world is filled with hate and anger and pain. If only the clouds would float away and people would only have the sun Maybe then we would start realizing the good factors and all of the things that we have. What are we doing to this earth? John talks about political, governmental and no countries, no heaven or hell- But what happened to deforestation and we have upset the the balance of the planet also. John was a decent man, and so I thank you John Lennon for your outspoken personality and how you gave us all something to think about, with your words of inspiration. <3 Love ya' man.
This is for sure the most meaningful song on the list. If you imagine the world that we live in like the world John Lennon is telling us to imagine it like, its perfect. The world that we live in is cruel, full of hate, racism, murder, and war. The world that John Lennon sings is tells us how we should want the world to be. In his song there is world peace, and everyone is living together as one people sharing the world. If you listen to the song and imagine the world how he says you would know that I'm right. R.I.P. John Lennon
It's realistic, overall something people need to realize. It covers violence issue and I don't understand while people judge, this will go into that also, it's more then just a songs it's a meaningful poem about realistic life things.
John Lennon was an incredibly inspiring man, and he made a huge mass of people sad when he passed on. I would agree all the way that this is one of the most powerful songs out there. The world is a cruel place, and I wish that the world was the way that John Lennon sang about in "Imagine".
R.I.P.

I felt something deep about this song just by listening to it. Then I looked up the lyric meanings and boy was I moved. The writing is just heart wrenching and makes you question your existence as a friend or relative. Although I've never had any substance-abused friends, I feel ashamed for having looked down on and isolating people who I've met and have been addicts. Also, this song doesn't just apply to drug addiction, it can be for almost anything that someone can't help doing and others don't approve of. Ah! Made my day. Plays on repeat.
I have been bullied countless times, especially in elementary school, and at that age, those kinds of experiences scar you. This song completely resembles how I felt, but also is so encouraging to stop all of the hatred in this world. I think that this song is so relatable to not only people who have been bullied, but to anyone who has had a bad experience. This song even goes farther into encouraging others to help those who are suffering rather than just watching them burn.
My mom thought it was just another song that I like until I looked up the meaning. She sings it. It gets stuck in her head. She cries often when she hears it. We both love it. Immediately, I got the album of of Amazon. The lead singer worked at a troubled youth camp as a counselor, and talked to one of the boys. The boy admitted that he lost a friend, but didn't know how to save his life, otherwise he would've. Such a bold meaning.
I really love this song. I've suffered with depression for four years and nobody believes that I do so I can't get help. I've thought about committing suicide more times than I can count and this song, as well as music in general, made me want to live. I credit this song with saving my life.

Yes please. This song is so true. If you just don't know what to do and you're walking down the path of destiny with no one to guide you, no one beside you and you're lost, then this song is for you. When you lose hope and everything seems to be going wrong, listen to this song and you'll relate. You'll know you're not alone, that there are people who understand out there. Who knows, maybe someday you'll find someone who understand you and accept you for who you are. That is what this song stands for, what it preaches. And it doesn't hurt that the beat and tune of this song are addicting. I love this song so much. It deserves a much higher ranking.
I mean it's Green Day... and this is definitely one of there best songs. Lyrical depth that really puts in words the feeling of being lost in life alone and confused not knowing where to go or what to do. It's a song that I feel everyone can relate to at least a little bit at some point in their life and that really comes with a sense of understanding. It's just a good song that is great to listen to at any time. 10 out of 10 for sure. If you haven't listened to it you need to.
I absolutely love this song because it is one of my favourites and that it means a lot to me.
This song has real meaningful lyrics, as for me it feels like that someone has broken my heart and that they are not thinking about me. I feel really bad for them and they should think about what's right and what's wrong.
The people that think about their loved ones should stay close and have thoughts for other people. Their strengths and their weaknesses. This song sounds like a definite love song and people should support people, companies and charity's in need.
I love the flow of the song, the lyrics are very strong with emphasis and it makes it tough in love.

This is good coming from an album of meaningful songs. Also loved Wake Me Up When September Ends, the lines "Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars. Drenched in my pain again becoming who we are," are the greatest lines in Wake Me Up When September Ends. If you've never heard any if these two songs please listen to them they hit you in the heart.

The guitar riff is very satisfying to listen to and also the lyrics are about a lady who has bought all she wants in life, but she knows one thing she can't buy is a Stairway To Heaven.
A great song that will stand the test of time, for sure.
Sure, this is probably the greatest song ever composed in terms of musical structure, but does it fit in on a list of the most meaningful songs of all time? I don't think so.
Although I do agree with Imagine as being number 1 this should defiantly be second, this song is beautiful and full of meaning a master piece I would say.
My uncle played this for me when I was really little and told me that no matter what he believed in if he heard this song he thought about heaven, and he played this the night he died, and we played it at his funneral.

Sarah may have performed it first, but Jackie owns this song now. Play the two different versions against each other on youtube and you'll know it's true.
Great song sung by the most beautiful voice in the world. Jackie is now only 15 what great thing will she do in the next 5 to 10 years? Wait and see.
Pretty heavy stuff for the young lady but she melts your heart when she sings it.
This song comes into my head regularly,
Jackie's version is outstanding!

Radioactive is a great song. Very relatable. Imagine Dragons is an underrated band. They incorporate so much meaning into their songs. In this song, the meaning is loud and clear. And the way they've presented it and the dark yet somewhat upbeat rhythm compliments the song well. One of the songs I like best by them is Monster. Now that should be in the Top 10 of this list. Like the line 'If I told you what I was, would you turn your back on me? ' and the paragraph
'Can I clear my conscience, if I'm different from the rest/Do I have to run and hide? /I never said that I want this/ This burden came to me/ And it's made its home inside.
And their beats and rhythm and overall vibe is just so great. I like how much meaning is put into the lyrics, that's what I like best about this band.
From a musical perspective, this band (Imagine Dragons) does a remarkable job of: incorporating the bass, changing dynamic (how loud a section is played) and emphasizing parts of this song. It gets your heart racing, and urges you to turn it up loud. This is exactly what a revolution should do. Kudos
I think that Imagine Dragons isn't heard of enough. They put so much meaning and desire into their songs but no one understands it. If you look deeper into a song you can relate to. This song shows the darkness that people can face and how to get past their fears.
Best. Song. Ever. Very. Deep Here are a couple of reasons for my opinion on this: 1. I can relate so much to this song. 2. Imagine Dragons has a lot (and I mean, a LOT) of deep meaning songs (including Demons, Radioactive, etc.) and I love songs with deep meanings.

Heck yeah bros

This song creates a realization of our reality today. We can't keep complaining, or painfully watching people suffer. If others are just going to let this happen, then you got to look in the mirror and make the change yourself. And, we always talk about our society and all the bad things that happen that have no reasoning. Well that reasoning somebody didn't prevent that from happening... And that someone could be right in the mirror. There is a quote that perfectly represents this song, "Our world suffers a lot, not because of the bad people and, the violence. But, because of the good people that are silent." That's why I vote this song to be one of the most meaningful songs created by the one and only Michael Jackson that no one will ever forget and may his legacy be passed down to future generations to come.
Michael Jackson is a very underrated person from today people like Drake in my opinion doesn't really deserve the fame, because, of the songs he writes. They all have no real meaning while MJs actually did. Not saying that he is a horrible person. But, there is a thing called AUTOTUNE people like I don't really understand his songs. I don't really care if you think that I am a horrible person, because I have NEVER met you before and you haven't met me either. So y'a y'a yeet. Jk just please learn from people's mistakes and when you write an opinion please think wisely about it kids.
This song just has everything I love about Michael Jackson. His vocals were amazing, but most of all, his compassion, his love for human life, and his message in every one of his songs shines through so clearly. He helps people see what kindness really is and how people should be treated. He understood that compassion could change lives, and he shone that message to us all.
It's about how we must work together, one by one, to save out beautiful home, our very own planet, the one and only Earth, from ourselves, but not only that, but how we must be unselfish and assist those who require assistance. That's how I interpret it, but if you have a different opinion, that's okay and I invite you to share it.

I really like this song! It helps me A LOT! I just feel so much better after listening to this. Demi is so strong! Having a hard time and still surviving and coming back through! She deserves this. I am not saying she is better than others but she definitely deserves this most!
Demi Lovato is my inspiration... I'm alive today because of her love and honesty... I love her... I love her do much... She is my role model... She is so strong... I love her... Without her I would be literally dead... I'm not even exaggerateing a little bit... She saved my life... And I love her... She's my angel... I love her...
This song would help so many people (including me) that has had struggled through the past. Personally, I listen to this song whenever I feel down and unsatisfied of my own personal limits. I think that this is one of Demi's best songs.
Absolutely love this song! Demi is so inspirational and has saved many people, including herself. This song is proof of how strong she is, and it's very meaningful because it means a lot to her and she chose to share it with everyone.

This song is about how people let objects possess them, how they make them think that something like a pair of shoes will make them successful, and popular. When in the end, "it's just another pair of shoes" what you wear, and your popularity does not matter. Beautiful and impactful song.
This Song is more than beautiful and it shows off how cruel society became. Everybody cares about being popular and rich even though that's totally not important. Great lyrics.
When your think of Macklemore, you probably think of "Thrift Shop". Let me tell you something, that song is a jock. But this song right here... Its something. Its music. It will make you feel something, the way music is supposed to.
The very first time I listened to this song, I was also watching the video. I cried. This song is so emotional and it shows just how screwed up society has become. I think this song should've been more up on the list.

At age 14 Jackie sang "Somewhere" at the National Memorial Day concert in DC. It was a poignant and profound performance that left many in tears.
Jackie sings an optimistic song backed up by a children's choir. Available as a bonus track on the Special Edition of "Dream With Me."
It is relatable!

Their songs are the best. I promise you that there are not like others, they're unique in their way. The first time I heard this song was a few years ago and I instantly fell in love with even though I don't like the genre. But as I listen to it more, I realised that bands like them write good lyrics. Some of them help people who are in suicidal.
Time is the only thief we can get justice against. This song taught me to SEIZE THE DAY
Amazing song, A7x has some original (and incredible! ) music.
It's a really good song they they made. Lyrics are super deep and it isn't loud and heavy, a song to make you thonk about your own life

A song about modern society. Young girls often suffer from society's twisted beauty beliefs and unreachable standards. This song displays the mind of girl going through plastic surgeries to look beautiful because her "sugar daddy" told ger to do so and when ut goes wrong or when he finds another, younger girl, he forgets about her and she's forever forced to be called plastic, ugly and fake.
Okay, so this song. WOW. It has some meaning behind it. "Kids forever baby soft skin turns into leather don't be dramatic it's only some plastic no one will love you if you're unattractive" Dang, that's heavy. Okay like it's true, and by the way her whole album "Crybaby" is AWESOME! Highly recommended both this song and the whole album.
I have been listening to this song for years and every song of hers uses a child toy or game or something like that and puts a really deep meaning into it.
It's a wonderful song and has such a strong and powerful meaning. It relates to our society today and teaches that you shouldn't get plastic surgery!

This song is very emotional and touching of course to those that have a heart. It is also very comforting and I can just remember listening to this song when I was very much younger and it can still make me cry today.
I think this song should be a lot higher. It has given many people hope when they felt like they had none left.
Such an emotional songs... one of my all time absolute favorites

Many people don't realize what event this song refers to, and they don't realize what this song is about, and how sad it actually is.
I am ashamed of this list. This should be much higher. The fact that this list is filled with Michael Jackson and this is only at 46 is awful.
This song is about the accident of three great singers, The Big Bopper, Buddy Holly, and Ritchie Valens. It's really good!
So many references, which when thought upon, has (to many people) a lot of truth. All of this is beautifully conducted within a melodic song

Last words written and sang by the man called Jimmy O'Sullivan before he died. Respect

A beautiful song with lyrics that are more than skin deep... With hidden meanings and a melody that is hauntingly beautiful, this song should be higher up on the list

A lot of emotion has gone into this song, I dearly wish it was higher on the list, way higher than Icarly or Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Every time I listen to this song, the lyrics and Tyler Joseph's gets me
The best part of TOP is that they are always so meaningful, and they're have a story to tell. Their songs go deep, and the music is great too. Goner is all of that. Tripled.
This song has a lot of meaning to me and plenty others. It gives purpose to many people and without it I don't know where I and a few others would be today.

Not only is Pierce The Veil an amazing band, they're all really down to Earth. I met them at the World Tour, and they did great live. This song was the opener and it was amazing live. You could tell this song held a special place to Vic (The lead singer if some of you don't know) and that's honestly the best part about the band. It's wonderful knowing these words hold a meaning to them, and that we can all relate to them in one way or another. Never judge Pierce The Veil by their style, they're one of a kind.
Pierce The Veil is a very inspiring band. They helped me through a lot in the past and they deserve to be voted. I will never stop listening to them. And for the people who judge rock/metal, it isn't "screamo" you don't even listen to the lyrics. Those lyrics speak out to people who are going through what the song is describing. Don't judge what you don't understand.
Bands like Pierce the Veil make a difference in people. Unlike many of the songs teens and young adults listen to today, Pierce the Veil actually has a purpose and talk about things people have been through. They have saved many people from committing what would have ended their life and made many others suffered.
This song really is relatable. It's very meaningful and it helped me through a lot, just like their other songs. I listen to this when I'm not feeling good, when I'm down I listen to this, making me feel better.

When I listened to the lyrics of this song, it made me cry. I have been going through similar issues, my parents constantly fighting, and it's clear that don't love each other anymore. My brothers and I are the only thing keeping them together and I just want to be a happy family again.
Pink is such a strong, emotional singer; she has a beautiful voice. I can seriously just listen to this song and some of her others such as perfect over and over and never get sick of it.
This really talks about the struggles in a family that clearly doesn't love anymore. Very touching.
This is a song that relates to a lot of people. I think a lot of people suffer from this but we just don't know they do. So it's very meaningfull!
