I'm neutral about this band, but I'm pretty sure the majority of us know why Nickelback is so high on the list.

Don't get anyone started. There will be no end.

If you say they are a good band be prepared for a argument that ends with no one winning

It's either "Nickelback sucks" (not true) or "Chad Kroeger is a retard" (which is true)

As much as I hate to admit it, this is true. The people who state their opinion about this band politely get a pass.
But then, you've got the people either shaming fans for liking Linkin Park, or just stating their opinion about the band in a rude form, leading to comment flamewars.
I'm going to try and say this in the most polite way possible: Not all bands and songs are for everyone. If you don't like it, that's okay, but there are better ways to state your opinion rather than bashing others for liking certain genres, bands or artists.

Quite a few times, I've seen Evanescence being negatively compared to other bands (so far I've mostly seen comparisons between Evanescence and Nightwish; they're both extremely talented bands In my opinion), which is just sad. I mean, it doesn't bother me if someone doesn't like them. What bothers me are the negative comparisons. Why can't both bands be considered talented? It doesn't have to be one or the other. Oh well. Haters gonna hate.

A7XFanboy: No they don't you're just a stupid Metal eltlist, A7X is the best metal band ever and they are more metal than every other band. (Then they go and claim how every member of the band is the best guitarist singer bassist and drummer ever)

Person: I have opinion and in my opinion they suck:

A7Xfanboy: then u have crap taste in music and you are a Justin Bieber fan. (then brags that bands he listens to are real music even though 90% of the bands he lists aren't metal band)

Person: almost none of those bands are metal plus why are you assuming I am a Justin Bieber fan? If anything you have a crap taste in music.

A7Xfanboy: well then you should go dice because A7X is the best band ever and people who don't like are stupid.

To the person who said they didn't invent rock and metal: you're half right and half wrong. Yes, the Beatles didn't invent rock. However, they were a leading figure in rock, investing it in new ways to make it what it is today. But yes, they DID invent metal. They were the first people to experiment with heavy guitar and scream singing (not to be confused with the shouting in 1950s music, that's just inbetween their singing)

How a argument with this band starts:

Person: I don't like the Beatles, I don't get why they are the greatest artist of all time.

Beatlemaniac: Then are you retarded and know nothing about music because everyone (by everyone he means Beatles fans) that they ARE the greatest of all time and make other bands look like crap.

Person: So you are telling me that this band that makes songs that sound like Cheesy Children songs makes other bands look like crap?

Beatlemaniac: yes, and no the band does not make children songs, they deserve their praise because they invented Rock music and made the first heavy metal song.

Nirvana fanboy: You are wrong, Nevermind is the best album of all time and SLTS is the best song ever, every other grunge band is crap compared to Nirvana, oh and Guns N' Roses sucks, they are talentless, Nirvana invented grunge so all other grunge bands owe Nirvana.
