Top 10 Worst Songs of 2025

You've survived another year of chart-toppers, viral TikTok sounds, and whatever your local radio station insists on running into the ground. But for every track that earns a permanent spot on your playlist, there's another that makes you reach for the skip button before the first chorus hits.

You've heard them. The overproduced singles with lyrics that sound like they were cobbled together by an AI trained on text messages, the celebrity collaborations that nobody asked for, and the artists trying so hard to be edgy that they circle back around to embarrassing. Sometimes it's a melody that drills into your skull in the worst possible way. Other times it's the kind of lyrical nonsense that makes you wonder how it cleared the studio without someone saying, "uh, maybe not."

This list is your chance to call it out. You get to decide which tracks go down as the biggest musical disasters of the year.

The Top Ten
  1. Daddy's Home - Tom MacDonald & Roseanne Barr

This is by far the most cringeworthy entry because it's literally calling Trump "Daddy". I remember Fox & Friends or The Five or some other trash Fox News show played this over a clip of Trump getting off the plane or something. Terrible. It is so easy to make fun of.

In addition to Tom MacDonald being on worst lists for like the fourth or fifth year in a row for being an unoriginal, lame, anti-woke person that even Groypers distance themselves from, you add in Roseanne Barr and get Auntie to start dropping some extra cringe bars. Roseanne Barr is one of these washed-up old comedians that thinks she's so edgy for being a "racist" and "pro-Israel". That will get anyone under 40 to drop this song immediately.

  2. Heil Hitler - Ye

Just utterly devoid of any artistic worth, aside from hailing the former dictator of Germany. The explanation for why this is in the top three worst is pretty simple.

Kanye really done it this time. First WW3, then a song about doing disturbing things with his cousins, and now making a song called Heil Hitler.

Kanye has completely ruined his reputation. Who the hell wants to listen to a song called Heil Hitler?

    Very racist and disturbing song.

My top five as of 5/9/25:

    5. Daddy's Home

    4. WW3

    3. Cousins

    2. We Thank You, Elon Musk

    1. Heil Hitler

I'm not gonna waste any of my time listening to this "song." I think this should be ranked higher than "We Thank You, Elon Musk." Hitler is overall a worse guy than Musk.

  3. 1965 - Jessie Murph

This is probably the most abhorrent track she has released this year. The lyrics are pretty awful, talking about how she would "give up a few rights" to have a man love her "like it's 1965".

I know it's kind of trendy to pander to the anti-woke crowd, but the crowd you're pandering to is not going to welcome you with open arms, Jessie. They're going to tell you to get back in the kitchen, and that roast chicken better be ready by the time they come home, or else they'll give you "a little slap slap".

By the way, "give me a little slap slap, but you wouldn't hit me on Snapchat" has to be one of the dumbest lyrics I have ever heard in the last 5 years. At the end of the day, the song is terrible, and her vocals sound terrible.

  4. WW3 - Ye

This sounds like it was made through AI. Ye's vocals sound unrecognizable. And let's not talk about the lyrics.

Get this atrocity, and any atrocity Ye has released this year, above Meet Your Padre now!

He wants to start WW3. Also, there is a Klansman on that cover. What the hell is going on with Kanye?

  5. Bette Davis Eyes - JoJo Siwa

Someone tell JoJo Siwa that she cannot sing and that her voice sounds like she breathes fumes from a car exhaust pipe or smokes 10 packs of cigarettes daily.

JoJo Siwa isn't a singer like Addison Rae. Please stop making music. Nobody wants to listen to your music. Please and thank you.

When will JoJo Siwa finally understand that she can't sing? Her rasp during the chorus just sounds plain forced.

  6. Man in the Sky - Tom MacDonald

Of course I had to add a song by Tommy the MacDonald clown, as LoveMusicLoveLife likes to call him.

  7. Cousins - Ye

Number 1 on my personal list is none other than this absolute abomination of a song. You would think Ye's other entry where he declares his love for a certain failed Austrian artist would make the top of this list, but no, it's this one.

In addition to being musically horrible, terribly mixed, and the vocals coming out as small shameful whispers and mumbles, it's a song about admitting to incest. Very cool. How old was your cousin again when this happened? Maybe it's more than incest you're admitting to here, Ye.

It doesn't matter though, his base of Groypers will fawn over this as if it's musical genius or something, and who knows what those terminally online incels are into.

  8. Meet Your Padre - Partynextdoor, Drake & Chino Pacas

Great! Drake made a song with one of my least favorite singers that I'm sick of hearing about 24/7. His only good song was with Rihanna, but this with Drake? I'm so tired of it. At least it's better than Nokia, but still.

How is Drake still relevant? He needs to fade to obscurity soon, even after Kendrick.

Hey, this song is actually really sweet! He made it for his girlfriend's quinceañera!

  9. With You - Dean Lewis

I'm tired, boss. I'm tired of this formulaic Lewis Capaldi-esque sad boy pop ballad slop. Dean Lewis is just a repeat of a repeat. Go away.

This epidemic started when Lewis Capaldi released Someone You Loved in 2019. It got worse whenever he continued to release more music. His songs are whiny, formulaic, and generic. According to LoveMusicLoveLife, they follow the exact same format:

    1. Whiny verse

    2. Even whinier chorus

    3. Whiny verse

    4. Even whinier chorus

    5. Ear-grating bridge

    6. Chorus

Since 2022, despite Capaldi's growing obscurity, so many more artists are ripping him off without even realizing it. Dean Lewis is a good example.

The chorus especially sounds like a grown-up cat throwing a tantrum while carrying a gun. My ears bleed because of him. Like, what's the difference between this song and every Lewis Capaldi song?

Too bad, because he used to be good in 2018 and 2019. It's no wonder he's no longer relevant! It is a wonder why Benson Boone and Teddy Swims have stayed relevant. At least Lewis and Dean are at the bottom. Benson and Teddy are better.

  10. My Hunger - Karçaz

This sounds like a parody of DSBM. The vocals are so bored it's distracting, and the riffs are very forgettable.

What do you expect? DSBM is, as expected, bad.

Plus, the mixing is done horribly, and the vocals aren't there.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Opalite - Taylor Swift

  13. ?

An Unbreakable Heart - Kim Jun Ho

  14. The Contenders
  15. Actually Romantic - Taylor Swift

She's dissing somebody who wasn't even dissing her in the first place. Imagine being this insecure.

Does Taylor Swift know what a diss track is?

  16. Drugs Talkin - Lil Baby

This song has every trap cliché in the book, notably those cricket-sounding hi-hats, a monotonous flow, and a reverb-heavy beat.

Lil Baby needs to understand it's not 2020 anymore.

  17. Blue Strips - Jessie Murph

Trap country is an obnoxious genre and Jessie Murph is another Tones and I. A country Tones and I. What do you expect from this?

Not only does this singer sound like Tones and I with a fake country accent, but the chorus is really annoying and the trap beat is outdated.

Definitely one of the worst hit songs of the year.

Awful beat, awful lyrics, awful singing.

  18. Your Way's Better - Forrest Frank

Forrest Frank is yet another example of an artist trying to give Christian music a 2020s vibe and be trendy so they can convert the youth. Even the "We Are Charlie Kirk" AI song does better at youth outreach than this lame, boring garbage.

It is not that I'm anti-Christian. I'm just generally agnostic and don't want to have to suffer through the same clichéd, cringe, and boring music that Christian kids get fed by their parents (Forrest Frank).

Most people could come to the conclusion that most contemporary Christian music sounds the same: boring, generic, saccharine, insincere, and, worst of all, predictable. Forrest Frank comes to that conclusion.

But he still manages to make Christian music that sounds just as bad - only more boring, more generic, more saccharine, less sincere, and more predictable. It also uses an annoying trap beat.

    0/10 Abomination Song

  19. Cancelled! - Taylor Swift

Just like "The Man," it promotes girls to backstab men, and the lyrics are headache-inducing to me. Taylor is such a bad influence on young girls, but I still respect her. This isn't a proper feminist anthem at all.

    1/10

    - DiellziGashi

Taylor's new album is impossible to take seriously. It's incredibly boring. Cancelled! is by far the worst on the album.

The diss track equivalent to boiled potatoes with boiled rice.

  20. Fat Juicy & Wet - Bruno Mars and Sexxy Red

Bruno's comeback proved that he's no longer who he used to be. He just copies awful song after awful song. He should be at the point where his career ends.

Not only did he manage to ruin APT., he sounded exactly like Sexyy Red in this song, which had Lady Gaga and Rosé in the video. And these lyrics are Bruno's worst lyrics. He's now just trying to appeal to the younger, mindless audience.

It's better than "Daddy's Home," but it's literal pornography that Bruno Mars should know better than to make. I agree with Dvafan2. This makes his collaboration with Major Lazer, titled "Bubble Butt," look like a masterpiece, even though it was already a disaster.

  21. Anxiety - Doechii

Doechii is a very talented artist, and almost every song on this album is some of the best alt hip hop I've heard in a while. But this song was the one dud on the album. It seems like sampling Gotye for a hip hop song just wasn't it. She probably gave it to herself as a challenge, but it just doesn't land.

Plus, most of the song was just lazily sampling the Gotye song, almost as if Gotye just made a remix featuring Doechii. Definitely her worst, but I still love Doechii.

Edit: Ignore my previous comment. It grew on me very little, but still... I think the lyrics in this are decent, but that Somebody That I Used to Know instrumental makes it really dumb, and she sounds offbeat, almost like a female Borgore.

However, there is a nu-disco/house remix by IamDJD that's worthy of going into my playlist. I wish that version was the original. Then Doechii wouldn't come across as that much of a terrible musician to me.

  22. Eye of Rah Drip - Real Wayne

Real Wayne is probably the hardest troll artist to avoid because everyone at my younger cousin's school likes that Sticking Out Your (Censored) For The (Censored) song and this one.

This should be number 2 or 3. It is absolutely horrible. Also, remember that I'm allergic to Gen Alpha slang. It made me puke when they played this at my cousin's school.

    ~ nomasila

This managed to be worse than Sticking Out Your Gyatt. Gen Alpha brain rot is just getting worse over time, and this is a new low.

Why can't Skibidi Toilet fade into obscurity?

  23. Gnarly - Katseye

Katseye is a terrible K-pop group. This song is even worse than Sheesh and Rockstar. It's extremely annoying and repetitive.

It's like if Charli XCX made a K-pop song. Also, the literal single picture of this album is clearly AI-generated. Katseye is a very unoriginal K-pop group that will be irrelevant in 2 years.

Melodically repetitive, soulless lyrics, and an earrape beat. This song belongs in the trash can and had better fade into obscurity.

    0/10

    - avaTARmx

This song is pretty annoying, and the mixing is awful.

  24. Dare U - NLE Choppa & Imagine Dragons

Fantano had this on his list as well. If you want to know what doesn't go together, it's this 2010s "I'm making a statement" fake indie pop crap that Imagine Dragons still manages to push out mixed with NLE Choppa. His flow on this song is ass, completely pathetic, and doesn't mix well with the Imagine Dragons beat.

They used to be good, but they've been falling off since Mercury and Loom. NLE's verses are awful, and Dan Reynolds' falsettos sound like a weird hybrid between Capaldi and Bennington.

Plus, the title already shows that the song will be a disasterpiece.

  25. Nokia - Drake

It seems that Drake did not learn any of the lessons that Kendrick tried to teach him last year and instead leaned into the "I'm a sex pest" thing MORE.

By the way, talking about having multiple "contacts" on your Nokia is so lame in 2025. The beat isn't bad (even if it does sound like a dozen other songs, including "DARE" by Gorillaz), but it would be better if Drake wasn't sounding completely artificial and AI-generated on the track.

The only song from the 2020s decade that I do not like. Sounds like one of my OC characters is in the background vocals.

Surprisingly, another Drake song I don't like after In My Feelings.

  26. Big Guy - Ice Spice

You can tell that she wanted to swear badly throughout the whole song.

This song sucks so much, just like every Ice Spice song does.

  27. Evil J0rdan - Playboi Carti

This new Playboi Carti album is annoying, and not even Kendrick Lamar can save it from being awful.

  28. Charlie - Tom MacDonald

Tommy, why do you have to rip off Macklemore's flow when you try to sound deep? Anyway, this grifter clown just needs to rot in hell.

  29. Miss It (At All) - Niklas Dee & Tokio Hotel

Just another forgettable EDM-pop song that features a has-been band that never had any personality to begin with.
