The biggest misconception on earth, no, the universe is that Green Day is better than Linkin Park! The truth is that Linkin Park has established its supremacy over other ' bands and Green Day produces boring music ( Boulevard of Broken Dreams was the only good one ).
Linkin Park produces fantastic songs in whatever genre they choose, ex- Rock/Rap -

So people, Linkin Park is a magical band that produces heavenly music, has sent bands pissing their asses to hell and earned the top spot like a GOD!

I hate the people who sit there and sat LP doesn't deserve top spot just because they don't rap in every song. Rap is a good style, but shouldn't be in every song or you'd get annoyed with it in my opinion. I like the tracks where they sing. And Hands Held High is an amazing song and I love the meaningful rap in that song. LP is the best anyone who says otherwise just needs to give them a listen objectively instead of holding tightly to their favorite band.

Linkin park is the best Nu metal and Alt rock band EVER! I am not going to say they are the best band in general cause everyone has a difrent taste in music, although they are the best band to me. Although they are not limited ONLY to nu metal and Alt rock which combine parts of rock, hard rock, heavy metal, soft rock, rap, hip-hop and electronica, they also expand to

LP is clearly the best. They may not rap in every song but Mike shinoda is probably the best rapper I've ever heard, other than maybe Tyler Joseph of twenty one pilots. Love the messages, and how they can look at the world through other people's eyes and write lyrics conveying those thoughts.

2 Rage Against The Machine Rage Against the Machine is a rap metal band formed in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of vocalist Zack de la Rocha, bassist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello and drummer Brad Wilk.

What is Hollywood undead doing! They don't even have a message, there music is a JOKE! RAGE have a message and make it clear, best band ever in my opinion, Morello = Best guitarist ever, Commerford = amazing bass lines, Brad Wilk = epic drummer, and zack = one of the best rappers ever, ONE OF, not the best.!

Rage against the machine is the greatest rap/rock band in existence, no questions asked. Zack is one of the greatest rappers and tom is one of the best guitarists in history. Plus they're backed by a great bassist in tim and a fantastic drummer in brad.

Whoever put RATM at 2nd must have been not been born yet or wearing diapers in the early 90's. Rage made this genre or at least put it on the map. No one had ever herd anything like it. They were so explosive, moving and enraged. A far as I'm concerned RATM and Stuck Mojo are the only Rap Metal bans I've ever heard.

Rage against the machine is one of the most explosive and strong rap metal groups in existence. They're songs are fantastic, Morello's riffs and Zach's rapping has set the line for quality in rock and rap metal groups.

3 Hollywood Undead Hollywood Undead is an American rap rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States. They released their debut album, Swan Songs, on September 2, 2008, and their live CD/DVD Desperate Measures, on November 10, 2009. Their second studio album, American Tragedy, was released April 5, 2011. All of the band members use pseudonyms and wear their own unique mask, most of which are based on the common hockey goaltender design.

Hollywood Undead is a Rap-Rock band with members who come from different musical backgrounds. Charlie Scene has a rapping and singing style that are heavily inspired by Eminem. J-Dog has a unique song writing way as just to say bad thoughts you may have and is able to rap and sing like the two were one in the same. Johnny 3 Tears has a song writing style which is somewhat the same as J-Dogs, just say your bad thoughts, and has a strong masculine singing/rapping voice though he can't perform as good live. Danny may not write in Hollywood Undead but his singing voice has that sound which makes it easy to know if he is on a song though he does sound like J-Dog or former band member Deuce in a few songs, his high pitched voice make it soothing to listen to on soft tracks like Believe and From The Ground. Lastly Funny Man who has a distinct voice which is very low and fits his persona in the songs that he sings/raps in such as Party By Myself and No.5. All in all Hollywood Undead is a ...more

Oh... it seems a lot have been wrong here for example I saw a comment on slipknot... slipknot best metal/rock band ever... yes they are my favorite metal/rock band but.. they are not rap... only spit it out and people=s***... and a lot others like papa roach... great bands but not rap... linkin park are rap but have made without rap... hollywood undead are such an underrated band in the whole world... they have about 4 rappers and they re all great especially charlie scene and j3t... they have a great singer danny and an old deuce they are the best metal/rock rap band here because they use rap and rock and pop... rap rock is their genre and they sound very good...

Hollywood undead has the best vocalist ever. Danny evens charlie scene and Funny Man's voices making their music smoother. Cause I didn't like rap or hip hop till I listen to them. They make me feel like my friends are a gang but in reality were a squad. But yeah, their songs make my day much better because, they have/are going throw the stuff that I'm going throw with broken dreams and depression and all. So yeah, I'm glad Hollywood undead is 3rd. bUT IN MY BOOK, it's first. Always first.

They have a huge variety, let's face it they have probably the 5 best rappers ever in this group, J3T has amazingly brutal lyrics, J-Dog is great all round, his party attitude and his serious, same with Charlie Scene, he has some fairly funny lyrics but he is serious when he needs to be, you can tell by listening to Mother Murder, or Been To Hell, Then you got Funny Man, the party man, he has funny lyrics as well, he is very unique to the band, which I love. the Kurlzz has outstanding screams and puts a good beat into the song, but we can't forget Danny, he has such an outstanding voice and fits perfectly into the band, these blokes together create something special, and there will never be a band like them. They are an only band of their kind, unique, outstanding, they all suit each other, and they know what they're doing, they have songs for everyone, they really should be number 1
No doubt whatsoever.

4 Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal/rap metal/rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and Wes Borland. They're mostly known for their singles like Break Stuff, My Way, My Generation, Nookie, Eat You Alive, Rollin', and Take a Look Around. They have made 5 albums to date.

I'm not very big on Nu/Rap Metal. Nothing against it, just don't get into it personally. However I do like Limp Bizkit because they're heavy and exiting.

Just check out their Metallica - Sanitarium cover, that performance only, shows how great they are, apart from their massive hits.

I eat you alive and alive and alive... All the others don't come close to RATM they have true meaning to there lyrics and come at you with a variety of rap hard rock with bold lyrics and a bit of metal and funk there awesome

Bring it on! Limp bizkit the best and awesome band that I've ever seen! I eat you alive! Fred!

5 P.O.D. Payable on Death, also known as P.O.D., is a Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 and based in San Diego, California.

Sonny's lyrics are the best on this list. Listen to "on the grind" (sonny's verse) and "sounds like war". You have to be kidding that Limp Bizkit is higher ranked than P. O. D.

I guess if songs aren't about sex, drugs or killing then they aren't worthwhile.

If you want to hear a good rap/rock song, go on YouTube and listen to, P. O. D. Murder one.

P.O.D. rocks so hard! Not only that but their Lyrics are better than any other band on this list. In a world where profane rants are the rule, P.O.D. stands out as something different.P.O.D. should be first with Linkin Park a close second.

P.O. D are the bomb, listen to songs like Southtown, Goodbye for now,... They deserve first place. Linkin Park can only be first if they went back to doing what they did in the albums Hybrid Theory & Meteora, otherwise they don't deserve to be first

Dude POD have been my favorite since I don't know when. These guys have some really diverse sound and their sings really kill it bro. These guys are sick they should at least be in the top 5.

6 Papa Roach Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California. Formed in 1993, their first major-label release was the triple-platinum album Infest.

It feels your brain and your heart in completely!
Every song is perfect and the sound is just heaven to your ears.

There latest album F.E.A.R is the best thing ever and I have it on repeat constantly
The song gravity is the best

Can not say it better then this:
'... Every song is perfect and the sound is just heaven to your ears. '

Just listen to "the connection", their latest album
and you will find who should be on the top!

7 Hed PE Hed PE, also known as Planet Earth and stylized as p.e., is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California.

Hey bartender hit me with a double!

8 Crazy Town Crazy Town is an American rap rock band, formed in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer. Crazy Town is best known for their 2000 hit single, "Butterfly", which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and helped their debut album, The Gift of Game sell over 1.5 million units.

Should be higher on this list (if not #1 overall) - the ONLY reason I can even fathom for why they aren't is because they only had one "mainstream" hit ("Butterfly"), which means odds are most people only know them by that one song - which was lame and girly as crap because the lead singer wrote it for his g/f. If people listened to their other stuff they'd realize they sound nothing like that one song.

9 Beastie Boys The Beastie Boys were an American Rap/Rock group that was formed in 1981 by its three original members, Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, and Adam "MCA" Yauch.

The Beastie boys were the ones who pioneered rock/rap. With albums like "License to Ill" and "Paul's Boutique" which rank on the list of best albums ever, they are amazing musicians. They rap all the time, but also play all their own music. They don't use samples or anything. Rock music that is rapped over. They are geniuses.
Rip MCA

Three guys who are among the greatest bands ever, and are still relevant years later. They cannot be topped.

Beastie Boys 7th? These top 10 list are always whack!

Come on! Top 5, at least.

10 Bloodhound Gang The Bloodhound Gang is an American rock and pop band currently consisting of Jimmy Pop (vocals, guitar), "Evil Jared" Hasselhoff (bass), Q-Ball (DJ, keyboards, synthesizers, producer), The Yin (percussion) and Daniel P. Carter (guitar) that formed in 1988.

The band’s musical style draws from several highly different elements that are not commonly found in music of the same genre, which makes it hard to classify them. The group has repeatedly used techno beats, punk guitar riffs, rapping, 80s style synthesizers, sampling, disco grooves, pop choruses, and distorted guitars. The band’s lyrical content is entirely humorous. They make a high use of profanity, sexual content, bodily fluids and pop culture references. The group has an intentionally immature tone throughout. ...read more.

11 Primer 55 Primer 55 is an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The name originates from the combination of Primer, meaning "something that's unfinished," and 55, which refers to Interstate 55, "the road that drugs run on to get to Chicago through Memphis".

15 Thousand Foot Krutch Thousand Foot Krutch is a Canadian Christian rock band formed in 1995. They have released eight albums. They have also released two live albums and three remix albums.

TFK are just too good. Listen to phenomenon and tell me they shouldn't be number 1 Their songs all vary in sound yet sound good in their own way. Get to number 1!

That? Is they do not know good music TFK is the best rock band!
Linkin park does not deserve the top spot!

I accept why Linkin Park is 1st
But TFK must be in 2nd
Ever listened to Phenomenon...

16 H-Blockx
17 Attila Attila is an American metalcore band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2005. Frontman Chris Fronzak started the band in high school and, not wanting to use typical death metal terms, adopted the name from Attila the Hun, which he came across in a book.

Badass band favorite song is middle fingers up!

18 Stuck Mojo

Should be number 1...!

19 311 311 is an American rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. The band was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Nick Hexum, lead guitarist Jim Watson, bassist Aaron "P-Nut" Wills.

If their only stand-out song was Down, they would deserve a place on this list. However, it isn't, so they deserve a higher place on this list.

These guys get no credit! The most unique sound in the last 30 years! Should be A lot higher on this list!

You've got to Come Original. Nobody above can come original.

Greatly under appreciated.

20 Clawfinger

Why not take a turn by the GROOVSHARK.com and find out for yourselves. If you're in to music, don't tell me these youngsters do not belong at the topp of this list. And by the way, why not listen to their first album "Deaf Dumb Blind". Just buckle up and let CLAWFINGER take control off the throttle.

Swedish Hardcore Rap Metal Band Clawfinger belongs at least top 5 on this list

21 Insane Clown Posse Insane Clown Posse is an American hip hop, horrorcore and rap rock duo consisting of rappers Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, that was formed in 1989 in Detroit. Insane Clown Posse is known for their violent and outrageous lyrics that often interpolate horror elements and religious symbolism, all of this being set in the fictitious Dark Carnival universe. The musical style ranges from oldschool hip hop to straightforward rock. Insane Clown Posse is heavily polarizing. They have developed a large devoted fanbase known as Juggalos, but on the other hand often get panned by many critics and listeners in the US. European reception of the group is better, especially in Germany. Among their most well known songs are "Halls of Illusions", "Miracles", "Juggalo Homies" and "Hokus Pokus"; their most successful albums are "The Amazing Jeckel Brothers", "Bang! Pow! Boom!" and "The Mighty Death Pop!", the latter of which is their most critically acclaimed album.
22 Methods of Mayhem
23 Reveille
24 Zebrahead Zebrahead is an American punk rock band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1995, the band has released thirteen studio albums to date.

Really? 26th? This is dumb. Just because they're not as famous as Linkin Park or Hollywood Undead, they deserve way more credit than this. It's incredibly rare to find a rap-rock band that actually has quality instrumentals (a lot of them don't even have actual drummers), and these guys take it to a new level. The guitarist, bassist, and drummer all have incredible skill, and in later albums, the band makes a point to show it, even incorporating solos and advanced musical techniques such as polyrhythms. I'd be willing to accept them not being number 1, if only because of the lack of fame, but 26 is unacceptable.

25 Slapshock

Slapshock is the best...
