Top 10 Songs that Have Been Snubbed by the Grammys
This list contains songs that were nominated and loss, and/or songs that weren't nominated at all.I still don't understand how it lost in that infamous Best Pop Solo category.
The song is heartwrenching to listen to, especially knowing the real-life background behind it. Kesha, who was otherwise perceived to be a not-so-strong vocalist, gives a phenomenal performance here, subverting all expectations.
This song is a poignant masterpiece, and it's a shame it lost.
I still wanna know why this song wasn't nominated for GRAMMY!? This is a masterpiece and (in my opinion) better than Rolling in the Deep!
It's really degrading to women and only says that a woman is only good for her body.
It wasn't even nominated - do I need to say more?
The #1 song of the year as well as one of the most critically beloved was utterly snubbed for no logical reason.
As much as I love "Don't Start Now", "Circles", and "everything I wanted", and would be happy if they won Record of The Year, the award should have gone to "Blinding Lights", and I'm sure all nominees are aware of that.
A perfect showcase of how faulty the Grammys can be in their own categories.
Song of the Year is supposed to award the songwriting. And yeah, "bad guy" has some interesting ideas, but there were much stronger contenders there, including this simple but beautiful gem by Taylor Swift.
It's baffling one of the most beloved songwriters of our generation has yet to receive the Grammy rewarding her songwriting. "Blank Space" was robbed too, and I can only hope she'll finally receive her due credit this year with "cardigan".
The Record and Song of the Year nominees in 2014 were painfully weak, which only made "Chandelier" stand out even more. I'm surprised it didn't get either of those awards, and lost over the decend but standard "Stay With Me".
The song is so unique and dynamic, featuring great performances from all artists involved. While it's nothing special lyrically, it definitely deserved to receive at least one award.
Yeah, she did receive the award for Best Female R&B vocal performance, but I really think Alicia deserved Song of the Year too. Hell, even John Mayer - the winner - thought so too.
Time to address the infamous 1996 snub. Alanis definitely deserved Album of the Year, but I don't get how Mariah left completely empty-handed, especially when she should have easily won some categories.
"One Sweet Day" deserved to win Record Of The Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
The competition was tough for that one, admittedly, but I would have liked to see it getting some recogntion somehow. Same for "Always Be My Baby"
