Top Ten Hardest Sports to Play Without Your Arms

The Top Ten
1 Basketball Basketball is a sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches in diameter and 10 feet high mounted to a backboard at each end.

Imagine trying to catch the ball without your arms! The only way you could is if you tried to squeeze it inbetween your head and where your neck and chest meet! Also trying to run up the court, and defending someone would be pretty hard because if he or she shoots or passes, you would have to use your body and head to defend him or her and could get hit in the head.

Actually you could do bascketball without your arms because you could bounce it with you head or feet.

I'd be laughing so hard if someone tried to do this.

I need your hands to do everything. Not even allowed to use feet

2 Gymnastics Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring strength, flexibility, balance and control.

Gymnastics IS the hardest sport without arms. From handstands, to round off back handspring double full. I am a level 10 gymnast. Only 12. I have to work my butt of every day of the week for 3 hours! Ugh. Gymnastics IS number one.

You can't really pull off an organized floor routine without using your arms. I've seen girls do gymnastics without using their arms and it looks extremely difficult.

It's impossible to do gymnastics without your arms. It's just impossible.

You can't do any of the apparatus's without your arms!

3 Auto Racing

I guess I'll have to drive with my feet.

4 Horse Back Riding

Beatlesboy9 you are so wrong. Horseback riding is so hard and you could never do it. In no way does the horse do all the work. In no way it isn't a sport. Why do you think it is in the Olympics, huh? So just shut up about it not being a sport, same thing with everybody else that thinks that just go and be sad about your pathetic life because you can't be brave enough to trust in an animal 10 times your size. Thousands of people have either died or gotten seriously hurt. I'm only ten and I've already broken my arm and fallen off 8 times. So unless you want to get criticized even more, just go ahead and throw away your computer, and sit in a corner to cry about your sad life.

You play basketball? Good for you, you use your arms and feet. I use my whole body to control a huge animal 3 times my size sometimes more. This is the hardest sport I've ever seen and played. Your hands could be moving a little bit and you could get disqualified. And whats even hard is that we have to make sure no one can see us ask the horse to do something.

That's my sport I'm 13 and have been riding off the lead for 11 years. Horse riding most definitely is a sport but it should be lower down this sport as it is just as easy to ride with your legs and seat

Please tell me what would ever make you think that horseback riding is not a sport! please tell me!

5 Golf Golf is a club and ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes from a range of 80 to 600 yards on a course in as few strokes as possible.

I'll just use my mouth.

6 Ice Hockey Ice hockey is a contact team sport played on ice, usually in a rink, in which two teams of skaters use their sticks to shoot a vulcanized rubber puck into their opponent's net to score points.

Hockey in general is dangerous. But playing without your hands, is just asking for death.

I bet you some Canadian tried to show off and broke a few ribs while trying to do this...

It would be like doing karate on ice.

7 Football American football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end.

You know what I don't get? They call it Football but you use your hands in a game called Football. It's called Football so why can't I use my foot? Does anyone see the problem here? It's called Football but I can't use my FOOT excpt for running.

The game now revolves off of throwing and getting the ball down the field. Without using your hands, you could not score.

Whoever calling football as soccer, that person is lame and retarded.

You should call it either 'American football' or 'Rugby'. This just makes it complicated.

8 Swimming Swimming is an individual or team sport and activity. Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

This would be very deadly. You could drown

9 Baseball Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each who take turns batting and fielding.

I've heard of a guy who played baseball with 1 arm before, but I can't see it happening with no arms...

It is the hardest because it isn't even possible.

10 Cricket Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a cricket field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch with a wicket, a set of three wooden stumps sited at each end.

The difference between cricket and baseball is that cricket is good and baseball sucks. (by the way I'm British) a proper man!

Cricket? What kind of sport is that?

I want to know in cricket which part of the arm to increase to bowl fast

The Contenders
11 Soccer Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players each. It is played with a spherical ball. The objective is to score the ball in the other teams goal.

Okay, I love soccer. I play soccer. I think it's a very hard sport. But I think that it would be a lot harder to play volleyball or softball without your arms. Unless you are goalie, arms in soccer are just for throwing and keeping balance. And of course when you fall they are to stop you from falling on your face.

In soccer You don't even use your arms at all besides the goal keeper who could (if push came to shove) use his head chest or feet!

Throwing the ball that's out of bounce back in bounce I meant.

What's the keeper meant to do?

12 Archery Archery is the sport, practice or skill of using a bow to propel arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus.
13 Volleyball Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.

How is vb not number 1 XD I mean you literally can't do a single thing without arms unless you get super duper lucky and use your foot/head every time. This should be number 1, I've seen people with little studs as arms being able to score sick 3's in basketball online but volleyball is so fast paced that it's physically impossible to play without arms. I think tennis should be higher up as well.

I'll just use my head and pray to the dear lord I don't get a concussion.

14 Boxing Boxing is a martial art and combat sport in which two people wearing protective gloves throw punches at each other for a predetermined set of time in a boxing ring..

You need your arms

15 Lacrosse Lacrosse is a contact team sport played between two teams using a small rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a crosse or lacrosse stick.

Ok HOW would you even hold the stick and run? This should be higher on the list for sure!

This should be higher on the list. How do you even play without hands?

How do you even play without your hands?

16 Tennis Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent or between two teams of two players each.

You need to use your hands to hold the racket. In fact any racket sport would be hard.

17 Running Running is a method of terrestrial locomotion allowing humans and other animals to move rapidly on foot. Running is a type of gait characterized by an aerial phase in which all feet are above the ground.
18 Javelin

Is it even possible?

19 Wrestling Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds.

Just think what could be harder, you're not taking anyone down in THIS sport. Heck any sport!

20 Rugby
21 Netball
22 Australian Rules Football Australian Rules Football, commonly referred to as Aussie Rules or AFL, is a contact sport that originated in Australia. Played on an oval-shaped field, it involves two teams of 18 players each, with the objective being to kick the ball through the opponent's goalposts to score points. Australian Rules Football has a large following, particularly in Australia, where it serves as a significant cultural event and has spawned a professional league, the AFL.
23 Muggle Quidditch

Not possible because it literally requires you to have one hand on your broomstick at all times. Not to mention that fact that you have to grab and throw the multiple different types of balls plus the snitch. You just aren't gonna do it.
