1 Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division.
The Detroit Lions are one of the four teams to have never been to a Super Bowl, and also one of the two teams in history to go 0-16.
Had the greatest running back ever to play the game alongside one of the great receivers in the game in Barry Sanders and Herman Moore. Still, 1 playoff win since 1957. Only 11 playoff appearances since 1957. Only 0-16 team in the history of the league. Gimmie a break, this isn't even close.
One playoff win in 61 years. Went 34 years without a single playoff win (1957-1991) and are currently on a 27 year playoff winless streak. Haven't won a division title in 24 years. Have never won a Super Bowl; they've never even been to one. Went 44 years without a Pro Bowl QB (1971-2015). And, oh yeah, went 0-16 in 2008.
By far the lions are the worst sporst franchise ever. They never win anything whatsoever I think they only have 1 or so playoff wins in there entire history. Look at there draft busts like Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, and Mike Williams. All those losing seasons and poor managment.
Possibly the only team ever to have two future HoF inductees retire rather than continuing to put on their uniform.
2 Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pittsburgh Pirates are a professional American baseball league based in Pittsburgh. The Pirates compete in Major League Baseball as part of the Central division of the National League. They play their home games at PNC Park.
No winning seasons since 1992 and no end in sight.
3 Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League as a member team of the American Football Conference North division.
The Cleveland Browns are one of the four teams to have never been to a Super Bowl, and one of two teams to go 0-16.
Depends which version of the Browns we're dealing with: If it's the original, then they turned out to be a solid team and brought home a super bowl in 2012/13. Unfortunately, that was when they were, and still are, the Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile, the expansion Browns were terrible. If that's what we're referring to, then this is really the worst franchise.
Original browns moved to Baltimore and are the Baltimore Ravens.
RIP Browns 1946 to 1995.
The current browns 1999 to present are the indisputable worst franchise in the history of the US, World, and Universe. They should be moved to Mexico, period.
One playoff game ( a loss) in over 20 years? Should be top 5 for the worst! The only time they contended for an AFC title was in the eighties.
They consistently lose 10 or more games. They change QB's and coaches regularly. A total mess.
0-16 in 2017 with just 1 win in 2 seasons! They are a factory of sadness for their fans and are easily the worst franchise ever! The Browns are on the threshold of hell and I am so glad I am not a Browns fan!

Look at the history. It speaks for itself
5 Chicago Cubs
The Chicago Cubs are an American professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the National League Central division.
The laughing stock of all successful teams. That 100 year drought isn't showing any signs of ending soon.
It is true that the Cubs are one of the worst sports teams but you gotta admit they have the most loyal fans ever! (Including me)
Cub fans get what they deserve. Crappy teams and full stadiums.
The Schlubs suck, always have, always will 100 year plus and still sucking.
6 Charlotte Bobcats
Maybe if Jordan wasn't a retarded and would rehire larry Brown bobcat might make the playoffs
7 Montreal Expos
They did make the playoffs in 1981. Best team in baseball in the 80's and quite possibly the greatest team ever in '94. Loudest fans on the planet even with 8000 in the stadium near the end. Money and greed killed the Expos. Much like most of the United States!
8 Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers, often abbreviated as the LA Clippers, are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles.
How can this team be on any list with the words "professional sports," in the title. They would suck at semi-pro.
Even their rare playoff seasons have been a blatant disaster.
They are a disgrace
9 Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins (known as the Florida Marlins from 1993 to 2011) are an American professional baseball organization based in Miami, Florida. Established in 1993, they compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the National League East division. Their home park is Marlins Park. Though one of only two MLB franchises to have never won a division title (the other is the Colorado Rockies), the Marlins have won two World Series championships in 1997 and 2003 as a wild card team. They are owned by Bruce Sherman and former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
Am a fan but still.

Should be in the top 10 easily!
Al Davis' death seems to have brought about his even worse of a son in Mark Davis and they are going to be moving soon to Las Vegas!
Have hit hard times because of inept owner.
11 Kansas City Royals
This MLB team, part of the American League Central division, hails from Kansas City, Missouri. Known for their World Series titles, they play at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals' team colors include royal blue, gold, and white.
The Kansas City Royals have only 3 winning seasons since winning the World Series in 1985, and no playoff appearances. And, they have the worst owner in Major League Baseball. Need I say more?
One winning season since 1985. Was once a model franchise.
12 Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football franchise based in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
I think their even worse than the Raiders and the Jags! Only 9 playoff apperances and 1 Super Bowl apperance. The owner needs to sell them to Los Angeles
13 Tampa Bay Rays
The Tampa Bay Rays are an American professional baseball team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays compete in Major League Baseball as a member of the American League East division.
Oh my God! Their franchise is a complete joke. They keep trading good players and replace them with bad ones. They should definitely be first!
NO winning seasons EVER. Won 70 or more games ONCE. Never finished above 4th in division.

Definitely not the worst sport franchise, but when it comes to Worst Team Owner, they would be in the top 5 easily!
Dallas is never winning another SB until the day Jerry Jones dies (NFL should have stripped him of his ownership after what he did in 2017! )
Overrated franchise! They live too much in the past.
