In this ANZAC special, I will be listing the most brutal battles ever in WW1 or also known as "The War to End All Wars" feel free to add any other WW1 battles I might of Missed and I hope you enjoy!

1 Battle of Tannenberg The Battle of Tannenberg was fought between Russia and Germany in August 1914, early in World War I. It resulted in a decisive victory for the German forces and was a major blow to the Russian Army. The battle took place in East Prussia, and the Germans were able to use their superior tactics and technology to defeat the Russians.
2 Battle of Gallipoli The Battle of Gallipoli, also known as the Dardanelles Campaign, was a failed Allied attempt to capture the Turkish peninsula of Gallipoli during World War I. The battle took place between April 1915 and January 1916 and was marked by heavy casualties on both sides. Despite several attempts, the Allies were unable to break through Turkish defenses, and the campaign ended in a stalemate.

In New Zealand, this is the first battle everyone thinks of when you mention World War I.

3 Battle of Arras The Battle of Arras was fought between the British and German forces in April 1917 during World War I. The battle took place in northern France and was part of the larger Allied offensive known as the Nivelle Offensive. The British were able to make some gains early in the battle but were ultimately unable to break through the German lines. The battle resulted in heavy casualties on both sides.
4 The First Battle of the Marne The First Battle of the Marne was fought in September 1914 between the German and Allied forces during World War I. The battle took place near Paris, France, and was a major turning point in the war. The Allies were able to stop the German advance and push them back, effectively ending the German plan for a quick victory in the West. The battle resulted in heavy casualties on both sides.
5 Serbian Campaign The Serbian Campaign was a series of battles fought between the Central Powers and Serbia during World War I. The battle took place in Serbia and was the first major Serbian victory of the war. The Serbs were able to repel the Austro-Hungarian invasion and push them back across the border. The battle resulted in heavy casualties on both sides.

10 Gorlice-Tarnów Offensive The Gorlice-Tarnow Offensive was a major military campaign fought between the Central Powers and Russia in 1915 during World War I.
