Top 10 Best Things that Have Happened in 2021
It seemed sad that there was a list for "worst things that have happened in 2021" over halfway through the month and not a best things one, so I have made this list. And yes, I know using numbers instead of letters for this one list is strange for me, but this makes it almost identical to the "worst things 2021" one. Enjoy! The production of COVID-19 vaccines continues to boost, and more and more people are getting vaccinated every day.
Update: Been vaccinated for a while now, looking to get my next shot as soon as possible! Things are looking good!
If you're in America, you can easily get a vaccine now. I just got vaccinated most recently on my first dose, and I have a very mild sore left arm, which I feel very little.
Get vaccinated, America.
People, please get vaccinated. If you don't want to wear masks or socially distance anymore without risking the spread of this virus, just do it.
Okay, Trump supporters on this website, I respect you. Just because I think Trump is super despicable and a sociopath like the rest of the world outside the US doesn't mean I don't like you. There, that's done.
But yeah, today, 4 hours and 9 minutes ago, Trump officially left the White House, and Biden got inaugurated. Hooray!
Edit: Wow, he's doing better than I thought so far. I'm impressed! I thought he would be a decent but boring president, but nope. He's already made some great decisions I support, though it's too early to have a strong opinion.
There was a time where I wouldn't say I stood up for Trump, but at least played Devil's Advocate, in that yeah, he's bad, but he's not THAT bad.
However, with his mishandling of a global pandemic and his desperate attempts to cling to power by any means necessary, he's shown that he's not fit to be in office.
Frankly, I hope America learns from its lesson and never elects anyone this mad with power again.
I really do hope that it's successful this time. He needs to be stopped before something really bad happens.
The attack on the Capitol was terrorism, and if they can stop him, his supporters will follow.
Banning him was a good thing. Maybe a bit extreme, but it was still good.
A better approach would have been to have people review his tweets before officially posting them. That way, anything horribly offensive and degrading to all the minorities and people he detests, usually unfairly, would not be posted. The few okay things he said could still be shared.
Glad that he got banned. He is narcissistic, a bully, mentally challenged, xenophobic, and racist. Prices were so high he ruined the economy. He also ruined the climate. I used to have lots of rain here, but because of Trump, all the rain is gone. Portland and the Pacific Northwest will turn into a desert.
This does have some negative impacts as well as positive ones, but it should still go on here.
For those of you who don't know, the African Continental Free Trade Area is a free trade area that was founded in 2018 but didn't come into effect until January 1, 2021.
It's true! They're obviously just trying to lift our spirits during this sad time, but whatever. It's still a pretty great thing that not many people know about. Now you know.
Peace should be the future. Otherwise, war would lead to the death of humanity via nuclear and biological weapons.
Even so, there are still going to be issues in the world!
Weird, but congrats to those strict parents.
Your message is good. Do yourself a favor, BLM, and try not to get associated with groups that hurt your image.
Thankfully, it's the normal part of BLM. Toxic or radical BLM supporters have no place in the movement.
BLM has reignited and invigorated a vital conversation. And at least it won't start any wars or drone strikes (looking at you, past three or four peace prize winners).
His guilty verdict is a masterclass example of severe police misconduct. While there wasn't complete justice, there was accountability for committing murder.
I don't think there was ever any doubt he was guilty. Thank God it wasn't a not guilty verdict, or there would have been more unnecessary riots.
Now he's being sent to prison for 22.5 years. That's what he gets for mindlessly murdering an innocent man, as well as attempting to kill a 14-year-old teen back in 2017. Yep, he tried to hurt a child.
Many other celebrities have already been vaccinated, including Steve Martin, Ian McKellen, Martha Stewart, Joe Biden, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kamala Harris, and many more.
It's good to see that vaccinations have been taking place.
This is a milestone because of representation. Now young girls and non-white individuals can look up to the White House and see that it's possible to run a country.
It warms my heart that she is the first woman of color to become vice president in American history.
Maybe she isn't the best candidate, but it's a big milestone for the United States.
There's not much else to say about this one, but maybe it will inspire peace between the two countries.
Yay! Trump was really making it obvious that he's fine with the world burning by stopping the fight against climate change as much as he could. There was actually a noticeable decline in the environment while he was president.
Hopefully, now that they're back in those two organizations, the damage Trump has indirectly done and been a big part of will be repaired.
The sheer scientific triumph of the COVID vaccines is a giant leap forward.
I am pleasantly surprised at how fast that number has grown.
I added this to the list because, I mean, it's a big milestone!
I don't have a very strong opinion on this decision because there are some good things about it and some bad things.
Alberta depends on its oil as a province, and this is a big loss to its economy, which is bad. But this is good because it really is going to help the environment, and it shows Biden is all for the environment, which is really important after the damage to our environment that ensued while Trump was in office.
I'm sorry that I had to put in all these things that the UN said, but like I said, I had to fill in the space here.
You know this was the most popular reality TV show of all time for a reason. The finale aired on June 10th, ending the series after nearly 14 years and 20 seasons.
Finally! After brainwashing young girls for 14 years, this sickening show is being canceled. Good riddance!
A TV show being canceled isn't as good as other stuff, but 14 years was too long for this rubbish.
I was excited when I heard this, until Cartoonito decided to bring this piece of crap back. What's even worse is that they're airing the Classic Caillou episodes from the 1990s.
If you think yellow shirt Caillou was bad enough, gray shirt Caillou is even worse.
You guys celebrated then, but now he's back with a vengeance. If you're wondering what channel he's going to be on, he's set to air on Cartoon Network (thanks to Cartoonito, which may or may not be the start of the dark ages).
Caillou got removed from PBS Kids earlier this year. Now, Caillou is not canceled, as Caillou's New Adventures still airs weekly on YouTube, but the original series will not be shown on TV anymore.
Well, it looks like justice has been served to the Floyd family (for now). Not only that, but Derek even attempted to kill a 14-year-old boy back in 2017. You know someone is an abusive cop when they flat-out hurt actual children under 18.
Killers deserve to be punished, whatever clothing (uniform) they are wearing.
That's great, but I don't know if 480 million is really a milestone. We don't need separate items for 470 million, 490 million, etc.
Honestly, we really need a lot more. However, this is a pretty good milestone!
Take that, Canadiens! Okay, I had to put this on here. I'm a Torontonian, what do you expect?
Also, sadly, almost nothing good has happened yet in 2021, so I had to put in a few space-fillers. This was a very intense game and had everyone on the edge of their seats.
Also, can we get this higher than some dumb TV shows getting canceled? Come on, this is one of the few events this year that could actually be described as changing the world for the better.
Yes, this is absolutely amazing. All of those rich billionaires deserve it.
Eat the rich. Wall Street trading and the pursuit of infinite growth are the causes of most of the world's ills. Unfettered capitalism leads to climate change, and the pursuit of oil and diamonds leads to war.
