Louis Armstrong should be number 1 there never has been nor will there ever be another one like him.
I love Louie Armstrong. I found out about him in my music class. I wish I'd knew earlier who he was. He's a great trumpet player and an awesome man.
One of the greats
Great voice with a lot of soull
Just amazing and I was born to one of his songs
Hottest male R&B voice ever... even a simple pop song like "Sha La La (Make Me Happy)" turns into a love making, heart breaking emotional turmoil.V 1 Comment
Yeah he should be top 10
KING. <-(notice the full stop)
With no disrespect to the other artists on this list, Prince is in a league of his own, and his placement on this list is embarrassing for whoever wrote this list to have placed him in the 20s. It reveals a huge lack of knowledge on the part of the author. It makes the entire list lack credibility, There isn't a more talented artist, in the entire list, from his voice, to the range of instruments he plays, to his incredible and prolific writing and composing. He even had incredible business savvy, in producing and distributing his music, first negotiating for complete control over his songs and albums, as a teenager, in his first contract with Warner Brothers. Most don't realize the number of songs he wrote and let others sing, which ended up topping charts. Despite the list of incredible talent, here, Prince is incomparable -- even against
Michael Jackson who, while amazingly talented, wasn't half as prolific as Prince.
As much as I absolutely love MJ I feel Prince blows everyone on this list out of the water. His vocal range is crazy, his lyrics are thought provoking, his talent is undeniable and he is still creating and re-inventing himself all the time. Prince is by far the most inspirational artist I have ever seen. Have a blessed day. Jeremy.
Prince is just amazing. He rights his own songs, heplays about a billion instruments he's just awesome! - zibblewits

I agree that Nat King Cole should be among the Top Ten pop singers of all time.
His voice was as good as Sinatra's, his phrasing and style, just as cool.
But unlike Frank, Nat was a black man. In those days, America was utterly unable to love him the way they loved Sinatra. Later black women singers were allowed 'in' -- but it was still harder for a sexy male singer like Nat to break the racial barrier. Michael Jackson, that genius!, was able to catapult over racial 'labels'. Perhaps Michael was given a 'pass' also because of his apparent androgyny -- he was not sexually threatening. There was something 'sweet' about him. Nat King Cole, on the other hand, was a tall beautiful black man singing romantic ballads that made women swoon! He is UNFORGETABLE!
Nat King Cole broke through all barriers, before anyone else... And had perhaps the most memorable voice of all... He deserves to be in the top 5 for certain. His piano playing was superb.
Singer with a divine voice that's wraps your sole around like a warm blanket on on a cold winter night. You feel this guy not only singing his songs but it is almost as he is acting them like a stage actor.
Nat's voice was one of the best of all time. He should be No. 1. Every ballad was a love song for the ages, plus he was that rare person who could accompany himself on the piano as he sang, Any professional musician will tell you that is extremely diufficult, and he made it smooth as silk.V 5 Comments
He should be number one. From a technical standpoint and pure skill he is unmatched... Other people can sound like Michael and whitney etc... No one can do what he does
This man should be number 2 after MJ. Obviously some people have never heard him sing live before, he's unbelievable... Trust me.
No one can top the Vocal versatility that Wanya Morris has. NO ONE!
Just... Come on guys.V 4 Comments
