Top 10 Best Lamb of God Songs

The Top Ten
1 Laid to Rest

The opener and a standout track overall.

Tough pick in my top ten between this and Set to Fail or Erase This from newer albums.

Have to agree with this one. Right from the opening riff, the song just pulls you in and doesn't let go. Love the vocals on Randy in this too. You can really see what a great metal voice he has.

Unbeatable start. Extremely powerful and a complete delight for any metal fan.

By far the BEST LoG song I have heard. Completely deserves the top spot!

2 Walk With Me In Hell

To me, this song is just kick-ass. Randy screaming "breathe, breathe" just makes you feel like something big is coming. Then what follows is simply the work of masters and true devotees to their respective instruments. Chris, what do you have in those legs?

The song has its own blend. The vocals, as always, are brilliant, and the guitar breakdown has been recorded in a very creative way that makes you listen to it very carefully. Skillful drumming. I just love the way the song goes from slow to fast, then slow again, and finally ends with a mind-blowing yet controlled speed.

3 Redneck

Best song for mosh pits. It's like breaking a wall, the most awesome song of heavy metal.

This song is really awesome. Especially at the mid part where the lead by Mark Morton combines with the deadly riff by Willie Adler.

This song is so powerful. It sounds awesome musically, and the vocals are better than most of LOG's songs.

4 Omerta

Randy Blythe said about this song: It is my favorite song that I play live. This song is a kick-ass song, really. The drum intro makes it sick, and the guitar riff... The vocals in it... It means a lot to Randy Blythe.

The vocals are just sick! And the riffs are just awesome too!

Definitely one of the best I have ever heard from LOG. You can't just stay still when listening to this song!

A little different and better than other LOG songs. And lyrically the best!

"A slip of the tongue, a slit of the throat."

5 Ruin

Probably the best song of them, along with Black Label. This should be higher.

The breakdown is insane and the lyrics are amazing too! Powerful!

Another brutal opener but with sledgehammer status. The middle section timing is something to behold when they're live.

Most artistic piece of Lamb of God. Perfect solos, perfect lyrics, perfect growling.

The lyrics are very meaningful and tell us a lot.

6 Now You've Got Something to Die For

Such an intense piece of artistic beauty, really. As a songwriter and musician, the lyrics of this song align perfectly with my perception on the matter. The guitar and drums radiate nothing but greatness. Truly a masterpiece!

I won't be like those normal people who say, "This is the best song ever" or "This should be in the top 5."

What I am going to say is, once you enter the wall of death, there is no turning back.

The breakdown is really amazing and awesomely catchy! If you don't like it, you don't like real metal!

7 Blacken the Cursed Sun

This thing should be at the top. What! This is one of the most awesome songs by Lamb of God. What a work! The guitars take you to a new world. This is much more awesome than Laid to Rest... Guys, help this song reach the top.

Oh, come on! This song should be in the top 10. Know why? You can hear the coordination of the crowds and Randy as he sings the last part!

Totally awesome!

Definitely top 3 LOG songs. One of the heaviest and grooviest songs ever.

8 Black Label

This song should be in the top 3. Their growling is just awesome.

This song has the most brutal bass drums I've ever heard in my life, even for LOG.

I think this whole album should be in the top ten!

9 Grace

TUNE - loving the intro. The speed and drive of this song are awesome. When they played this live, it was just amazing.

Mind-blowing intro! Awesome lyrics! And soul-stirring music to go with it! What else could you ask for?

When I listen to this song, it makes me feel mind-blowing.

10 Ghost Walking

"21 to 1 I'm liking the odds. A blood junkie with a lightning rod. A dirty rig and a heavenly nod" - one of the most badass lines in a song I've ever heard! But "Laid to Rest" and the song from their newest album, "Overlord," are also amazing.

Best song after Laid to Rest, and just an absolutely amazing song from their latest album, Resolution!

Happy to see such quality nowadays, in 2012.

Such a catchy song, and the guitar in the intro, wow! And as always, great lyrics.

The Contenders
11 Hourglass

Awesome song. It should be at least in the top 5, because I can't decide between a lot of their songs.

"An ill wind blows this way. The edge of the envelope burns."

"You finally made it home, draped in the flag that you fell for," is so epic!

Classic combination of riffs. I love playing along to this now that I've learned it.

12 Broken Hands

It's such an awesome song! Definitely in the top 10, if not top 5.

The riffs, the vocals, and all the other stuff make it damn unique! Please vote for this, guys. Definitely top 10!

The double bass timing is just genius! Plus, the heavy guitar parts and great shouts make it very hard not to like this song.

What is it doing down here?

This is one of their best songs. If I want to destroy something, this song gets me in the mood like no other.

13 Vigil

The mighty "VIGIL" is at 13...! Are you kidding me..!

This song is damn...awesome...the best so far...! It has everything in it...the denial, the hatred, the cursing, everything... Completely a song that deserves a good spot...

It has a classic "Black Sabbath" sound to it, especially that slow and heavy riff in the bridge halfway through the song.

As a subjective review, I would say this one is their best song.

But even as an objective review, I thought Vigil should be in the top 5.

14 The Faded Line

I love you, Lamb of God, for making a lot of beautiful songs.

I can't choose which one is the greatest, so I listen to all of them.

It just has a great rhythm to it with some intricate rhythm guitar playing.

Exemplifies all of the necessary aspects of a Lamb of God song.

15 King Me

Easily the best song from Resolution. Resolution has some promising tracks like Ghost Walking, Terminally Unique, and To The End, but King Me is truly unique. There's no other song by them that sounds like this one. A beautiful final track from the album.

The song, according to me, is their best compilation up till now. Truly mesmerizing. No words. Especially the guitar part is so cool.

This song deserves the top spot. King me!

I also love Ghost Walking, but this song is an epic from LOG. Randall's screams in the outro are really amazing.

Far better than Walk With Me in Hell and Laid to Rest.

16 Choke Sermon

Oh, come on! This is one of my favorite LOG songs, and it's number 44! I can't argue because all of LOG's songs are great, but this one doesn't deserve the 44 spot.

17 Desolation

This song must be third or second on the list because the music makes me lose my mind. It's so awesome, the speed of metal.

Brilliant song. First LOG song I've heard and it's been my favorite ever since.

This is the best LOG song I have ever heard! This should definitely be in the top 10.

18 512

The first song I listened to from them. It hooked me with the nasty riff at the chorus. Oh, and the video is also very good nonetheless. It also got nominated for a Grammy. Why this song is even far down the list, I can't understand.

Whoa! Fantastic intro, amazing growls! Great track from what is certainly one of the best death/thrash metal albums in recent times.
"My hands are painted red. My future's painted black."

One of the darkest songs ever!

"My hands are painted red, my future's painted black, I can't recognize myself, I've become someone else..."

19 11th Hour

If I have to say something about this song, then I would say it is a masterpiece. The lyrics are really powerful and mean very strong things. The music is very strong and powerful as well.

It's been 5 years since it was released, and still, I find it enjoyable and good every time I listen to it.

GREAT SONG

Easily one of the greatest songs by Lamb of God! This deserves to be within the top five. Head bangs automatically when you hear this song and its awesome riffs! I'm proud and can now die happily because I've heard this song and banged my head to its beats!

20 What I've Become

Why is this not even in the top 10? This song should definitely be in the top 5.

Great screaming by Randy Blythe and sick guitar playing make this song one of their best to date.

Underrated song. If you weren't headbanging before, you'll definitely be once you hit 1:20.

21 In Your Words

The Faded Line, In Your Words and honestly, does nobody like The Undertow? I get Resolution sucked (comparatively to the other albums), but The Undertow is easily tied at #1. Also, how about 512?

What happened? Has anyone even heard this song? Well, it's my #1, and it blows away all those in the current top 5.

You shouldn't be able to vote if you haven't heard all the good ones!

Man, everything about this song is mindblowing! But especially those face-melting vocals. Randy just roars the whole song.

This got me into Lamb of God!

22 Set to Fail

God I love this song. The syncopated brutality that pours forth in the beginning is like a finely aged, 12 year old, scotch. Plus it has some of my favorite sounding Mark Morton solo work. Glad to see this song in the top 20.

Not even in the top 50?!?!? Let alone the top 10?!?!?!? This is the band's heaviest song, best song, and probably the best song they'll ever write not to mention the best groove metal song. And yes, I've listened to every Pantera song.

Epic song! Specially the intro, fast and satisfies my need for aggressiveness, the lyrics and the vocals are awesome, I'm proud to listen to such a band

23 Overlord

A rare type of LoG song because Randy Blythe shows his clean vocal style, which isn't heard much. This song starts pretty slow-paced and builds into what could be one of the best fast-paced parts in any Lamb of God song. A definite mosh pit starter!

This song is so good. I hope it will be in the top ten soon because this song is just insanely good.

Really, it should be in the top 10. The song starts with a slow, clean voice and ends with the greatest death metal.
