Best Movies of the 2010s

The Top Ten

1 Inception

An ok movie, but pales in comparison to The Master, Whiplash, The Favourite, A Separation, First Reformed, and The Tree of Life.

This movie is a masterpiece. - Donut

So slow and weird, lost interest within the first hour. Mad Max would be my pick for #1, followed by anything Star Wars or Avengers.

Not only best movie of 2010s but best movie of all time - Batman747

2 Star Wars: The Force Awakens

This movie blew me away.
We get lovable main characters like Rey, who is similar to Luke Skywalker, which is just another reason to love her, Poe Dameron was unique even if he shares some characteristics with Luke and Han. Finn was awesome and most unique Star Wars character we have seen so far.

Kylo Ren was an EPIC villain using powers that can only be seen as epic, like when he stops the blaster in midair at the beginning of the movie. The Stormtroopers in this movie are actually kind of intimidating and for once in the Star Wars Saga, they can actually aim!
It was the 2nd best Star Wars movie, the best movie not only of 2015 but of the decade so far.

For Star War Fans - FerrariDude64

3 The Avengers

I hate this movie. I think it is the worst movie ever.

Hulk beating up Loki was funny

Way better than Civil war

4 Captain America: Civil War

Awesome movie. deserves more love

Trash

5 Whiplash

The fact that this is under Harry Potter is a gross offense to this masterpiece of 2014, which will be far more remembered than Deathly Hallows

6 Toy Story 3

Pixar has given us a classic trilogy. - garythesnail24

7 The Dark Knight Rises

Why is this below Civil war?!

My 4th favorite movie of all time and here is my ranking from 1-5

1. the dark knight
2.inception
3.the matrix
4. the dark knight rises
5. Jurassic world

The epic conclusion to the Batman trilogy and the last good DC movie.

Worst

8 Guardians of the Galaxy

Best movie ever

9 Avengers: Infinity War
10 Interstellar

Should be in top 5

€śDON’T MAKE ME LEAVE MURPH! ”
With it being a 3 hour movie, it has the most emotionally impacting scenes in any movie. From Cooper leaving to the tesseract to the scene after Miller’s planet. And don’t forget Hans Zimmer’s score, one of the best out there. Just listen to it and close your eyes.
This movie should really be top 5

The Newcomers

? Parasite
? Ford V Ferrari

The Contenders

11 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

This movie is the best in the franchise. And why is Deathly Hallows 1 above 2

The epic final of Harry Potter - MatrixGuy

Deserves higher spot.

Best movie ever

12 Deadpool

Most overrated boring superhero movie. Deadpool tries so painfully hard but fails miserably

58?! Should be in the top 10

Very very good

This movie is amazing!
There's not one single part of this movie that is actually boring!

13 Avengers: Endgame

The fact people rank Civil War higher than this is sad.

It's because the list was made before endgame came out - Dvafan2

Perfect ending.

14 Django Unchained

Masterpiece. Should be in the top 5

The second best Tarantino movie after Pulp Fiction. Christoph Waltz received several accolades for his performanceand, won the Golden Globe, the BAFTA and his second Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

This has honestly became my second favorite Tarantino film after Reservoir Dogs - Justintime221

Hands down the bravest, most important and epic film of the 2010s

15 Mad Max: Fury Road

Very good, yes, lots of joy car chases, yes, viewed fun in theatre, very fun movie and should be higher yes

Smart, dark, and thrilling, Catching Fire is one of the greatest sequels, and one of the greatest movies of all time.

17 The Lego Movie
18 How to Train Your Dragon

One of my favorite movies ever, and in my opinion the best children's/animated movie ever created. The story is excellent, and it's much darker than your typical family movie. This is how they all should be, in my opinion. Plus Toothless is my favorite character ever.

28 War for the Planet of the Apes
29 Inside Out

People are trolling us so that we can get stressed that they thing 2011 version is better than the 2015 version

I know this movie gone yet but I got a good feeling about this movie

This is the 2015 Pixar movie. Not the 2011 action movie.

30 Captain America: The Winter Soldier
31 The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
32 X-Men: Days of Future Past
33 Transformers: Dark of the Moon
34 Spider-Man: Homecoming
35 Boyhood

Boyhood is a truly great movie of the decade. It is one of the great stories, and peaks when Mason heads off to college in a truly beautiful moment, filled with the sense of a whole world to explore now in his future. That's what great films do, they present us with a story and make full use of the emotional peaks. I really felt like I grew up with the character and went on a journey. This is life as it is, and as such, the movie just, is. It presents the characters and presents us with this boy growing up. Recently it has been getting a lot of hate as well as La La Land just for being great, recent movies.

Here's my top five for the decade:
1. Boyhood
2. Dunkirk/La La Land
3. Dunkirk/La La Land
4. Inception
5. The Social Network - FixedNation

Boyhood is probably the best story of the decade, and it really peaks at the scene where Mason goes off to college. I felt like I grew up with the main characters, and I went on a journey with them like all great movies. It gets so much unnecessary hate now just like La La Land. Both are called overrated for no reason other than that people can't stand to see such a great thing.

My top five of the decade are:
1. Boyhood
2. Dunkirk/La La Land
3. Dunkirk/La La Land
4. Inception
5. The Social Network

These are the truly great movies of the decade, and biases aside, people should realize that. - FixedNation

36 Hacksaw Ridge
37 Godzilla
38 Bohemian Rhapsody
39 Toy Story 4
40 Joker
41 Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

A great film with little clever jokes and references sprinkled throughout it. - higgsboson2142

42 Despicable Me
43 Cars 3
44 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
45 Rise of the Planet of the Apes
46 The Human Centipede II: Full Sequence
