Best Animated Movie Couples

Hiccup and Astrid - How to Train Your Dragon
I searched the top 10 animated couples of all time just to find this one and see where it ranked. This relationship is built on encouragement and adventure instead of what relationships normally are.
I am very happy to see this at number 1 because this is the relationship I hope to have. I have watched the trilogy repeatedly over the past week just to see them because their relationship makes me happy. This is by far the best relationship in animated movie history, and maybe even in movies in general.
They have a relationship based on mutual respect and trust, which is really important to show in children's movies. Children are learning how to interact with people, and a relationship like Hiccup and Astrid provides a great example.
They love each other, and they're also partners on the battlefield. They trust each other with their lives and support each other a lot. Their banter is also fun and lighthearted. Honestly, Hiccstrid is one of the best fictional relationships.

Homer and Marge Simpson - The Simpsons Movie
One of the funniest couples in animation history. She's smart, and he's dumb. That's what makes them a funny couple.
It worked with The Flintstones, and it works with The Simpsons.
When people think of animated couples, one of the first that comes to mind is Homer and Marge Simpson. Others include Fred and Wilma, Hank and Peggy, and Lois and Peter.
Homer and Marge are truly iconic. Whoever said they weren't tender enough to be on top is clueless. It doesn't have to be tender.
-
Ginger and Rocky - Chicken Run
Rocky might start as an arrogant, dishonest, and unreliable jerk, but as the film progresses, he becomes more selfless, braver, more trustworthy, and more honest after spending more time with Ginger.
Meanwhile, Ginger might be brutally honest, overbearing, and stubborn-headed at the beginning, but after spending more time with Rocky, she becomes less brutally honest, more cheerful, less overbearing, and less stubborn. So, from what I gathered, Rocky and Ginger balance each other well.
Together, they managed to sabotage Mr. Tweedy's menacing chicken pie machine and escape the farm, among other things.

Shrek and Fiona - Shrek Series
-
Scamp and Angel - Lady and the Tramp 2
-
Simba and Nala - Lion King
This should be number 1! The Lion King was a great movie, and Simba and Nala were a great couple.
-
Aladdin and Jasmine - Aladdin
Probably the best-looking couple in Disney's history.
-
Kovu and Kiara - The Lion King 2
I love this couple. They are just made for each other. I love the individual characters as well, but I love them together so much more. I like how they meet as cubs, become friends, then separate. When Kovu returns to the Pridelands, he is obviously annoyed by her (although Kiara seems to have a crush on him). Still, they build mutual respect and appreciation for each other's strengths.
They start to enjoy each other's company, and when Kovu is exiled, Kiara realizes how much she loves him and all that they had without knowing. Such a great couple.
P.S. They aren't cousins.
Kovu and Kiara are my favourite couple in Lion King 2. I hope they do Lion King 3 and I hope they have cubs. I also hope one day they'll have grandcubs in the future. I hope they do more sequels. I want more of Kiara and Kovu. Just like Romeo and Juliet.
-
Blu and Jewel - Rio
They are so cute! I love how Jewel hates Blu at the start, and then their relationship builds throughout the movie.
Near the end, that kiss was so beautiful. I love this couple.
Pure love mixed with samba is a perfect combination for a great love story. That's why Blu and Jewel have to win!
Aww... Most lovely bird couple of all time, after Rafael and Eva.
-
Belle and the Beast - Beauty and the Beast
They really do love each other. The Beast saved Belle's life, and in return, she broke the witch's curse.
A fairytale romance! Way more tender than Homer and Marge!

Chernabog and Maleficent - Mickey’s House of Villains
Best villain couple ever! It happened in the movie House of Villains.
Chernabog is a better husband to Maleficent than Hades.
-
Ariel and Eric - The Little Mermaid
Ariel is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to be with her true love, and Prince Eric takes on Ursula bare-handed to save his princess and her loved ones.
A fairytale romance in real (well... cartoon) life!
-
Mulan and Shang - Mulan
-
Scrat and Scratte - Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
-
WALL-E and EVE - WALL-E
Oh, yeah! The shy, quirky boy (or robot with no biological sex) and the stoic, tsundere-type, female-presenting robot are amazing together! I bet it would be even better if they were androids (robots that look exactly like humans).
This is the most beautiful love story in any animated movie I have ever seen.
