Top 10 Best Book Series to Read In Middle School

The Top Ten
1 Harry Potter series - JK Rowling

I finished this series, now I don't know what to do with my life.

2 Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series - Rick Riordan
3 Warriors series - Erin Hunter

The best book series ever, I very strongly recommend reading the books. They are so good and need to be higher.

Fantastic! Well written. My son loves these books, and it really sparks his imagination!

How is this not more popular than Harry Potter? I love these books!

4 Hunger Games series - Suzanne Collins

I also read this trilogy in fifth grade (middle school). I highly recommend it.

5 The Lord of the Rings series - J. R. R. Tolkien

More of a high school series if you ask me. I've read the first book. It's rather tough to understand, but it's also a brilliant book. It's definitely a must-read.

Depends on your maturity level. Harry Potter is a children's book, The Lord of the Rings is very much a book for grownups.

My brother and I re-read this series every few years! Amazing world-building and characters. I love this story.

6 Middle School series - James Patterson
7 Diary of a Wimpy Kid series - Jeff Kinney
8 Kane Chronicles series - Rick Riordan

I really feel like this is one of the more underrated series I've read. Everybody is always comparing it to the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, and I will say that I do agree that I like those books more. However, the main reason for that is I've been with Percy and the others for seven more books than I've been with Carter and Sadie. It's very close in my opinion though, and when a trilogy is almost as good as a ten-book series (or two series), that really says a lot.

9 Eragon series - Christopher Paolini

I love this series! It is one of the best, especially if you are interested in dragons like me. I highly recommend you read these books. They are the best!

One of the best books I have ever read. I love rereading and writing fanfictions about it.

10 Keeper of the Lost Cities - Shannon Messenger
The Contenders
11 A Series of Unfortunate Events - Daniel Handler
12 Twilight series - Stephenie Meyer
13 Matched - Ally Condie
14 Land of Stories - Chris Colfer
15 Pretty Little Liars - Sara Shepard

Come on! This is the best book series ever. And why is Twilight on the list? It's the worst and most overrated book ever made.

Those books are really intriguing, and we don't know what happens next. Awesome series.

16 The Mysterious Benedict Society
17 The Missing - Margaret Peterson Haddix
18 The 39 Clues Series - Rick Riordan and others

The 39 Clues series is amazing! How is it on 20? I'm rereading the books right now and I love them so much! It just gets better and better the more you read it!

19 Redwall - Brian Jacques

Ought to be higher on the list, it's definitely my all-time favorite series. To anyone who hasn't read these books: you don't know what you're missing. These are some of the greatest books in existence.

I would recommend this series to most people in middle school and older - it is a huge part of my life and the best series I've ever read.

The food descriptions in there are legendary.

20 Wings of Fire - Tui T. Sutherland
21 Blue Is for Nightmares - Laurie Faria Stolarz

Intriguing, interesting, scary, and funny at the same time. Really a good book to read.

22 The Lying Game - Sara Shepard
23 Bone - Jeff Smith
24 Absolutely Almost - Lisa Graff

This book is so inspiring. It is about a boy who is behind everyone else. He is always "almost" as good as his friend or almost as good as anything. It is about how he gets through school and life.

25 The Secret Circle - L.J. Smith

I watched an episode of "The Secret Circle" and I loved it. The T.V. show was based on books and the good seems good
