Top 10 Worst Book Series of All Time

The Top Ten
Twilight Series (Stephenie Meyer)

I haven't read it yet, but my friend has. They told me that there is (um, how do I phrase this with kids on here?) some inappropriate content in Breaking Dawn. They also mentioned that the protagonist gets married at 19. So, yeah.

I couldn't even get through the first book. I just dropped it.

The Vampire Academy Series (Richelle Mead)

All modern vampire books suck.

The Fallen Series (Lauren Kate)
Blood Coven Series (Mari Mancusi)
Left Behind Series (Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins)
Rama Series (Arthur C. Clarke)
Sookie Stackhouse Series (Charlaine Harris)
Perfect Chemistry Series (Simone Elkeles)
Warriors (Erin Hunter)

This series needs to be way higher on this list. It is some of the worst garbage I have ever read. My son told me about this series, saying, You need to read this. It's so good. So, I read a few chapters, and I was shocked to see how terribly written these books are. Then I read a little more because it was so bad. It was humorously bad.

There is no story to these books. No plot. Nothing even makes sense. The plot and story seem like something that a third grader wrote. The characters are very weak and all have empty, cartoon-like personalities with no development. Also, the book uses way too many adjectives, often piling up two or three adjectives that mean the same thing to describe something. And they always use really and very.

It is a very boring, terribly written book. There are like 50 books in the series, and I bet the author writes one in two months based on the terrible quality this awful series has.

Robert Langdon Series (Dan Brown)

The Newcomers

? The Clansman Trilogy (Thomas Dixon Jr.)
? Owl Diaries (Rebecca Elliott)
The Contenders
Harry Potter Series (J.K. Rowling)

I'm going to go on a rant about this - I hate it so much! Here are the reasons I hate it:

- Harry is a Gary Stu. You think having an overpowered orphan protagonist who is whiny and has a tragic backstory isn't a Gary Stu? He's an orphan, and he's basically immortal. He is "super special," part of a prophecy, got a super hard job, won a war - it's just so predictable. I hate him. He whines throughout the books (especially in the first one) and acts like he's the best. Plus, he got into a school for the best wizards and witches, got all the attention, and was a snob to everyone.
- All of the characters, except the animals, are emo. ALL of them! They all have tragic backstories or do something tragic to make their backstory tragic. Some characters aren't emo until a certain book, but it's just poorly written.
- Dumbledore is overpowered and biased. He gives Gryffindor all the points and treats the other houses like trash because he was from that house? Then he has all the powers in the world and is oh-so-special! Also, the fact that he gave a baby from some random person to their siblings because he was too lazy to take care of the baby himself is ridiculous! The Dursleys were right to treat someone they didn't want and didn't give birth to in that way. He was just a snob.
- Gryffindor and Slytherin get all the attention. I'm from Ravenclaw, and this really annoys me. The other houses are completely ignored and treated like trash. There always has to be a "bad" house and then an "awesome super duper" house. Ravenclaw is better than all the houses, and they get what? Two characters? Three? While we know everyone in Gryffindor.
- Harry always wins. In basically every single game (I know the name, but I hate the series, so I won't say it) he plays, he wins because he's oh-so-special. He's good at it with absolutely no practice, and then he suddenly wins out of nowhere. In his first game, he should have died, which is unfair to all the people who wanted... more

Mistborn Series (Brandon Sanderson)
Dork Diaries (Rachel Renée Russell)

HOW IS THIS BELOW DIARY OF A WIMPY KID?!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is good, and this series just copied it! It's about some stupid, spoiled teenage brat! I love MacKenzie, though. Nikki whines that her life is terrible when she gets everything she ever wanted other than an iPhone, which you don't really need.

It's also terribly written. The only reason why I'm reading it is because it's super bad, and once I read one book from a series, I can't stop. - xX_Laurel_Xx

Nikki is a selfish baby, and yes, she's a loser.

This book series should die already.
