Best Comic Book Movies With the Best Openings

The Top Ten
1 Deadpool

Deadpool is a fantastic movie. Right from the opening sequence, I knew what I was in for. Just in case you haven't seen the opening, I won't spoil it. It was unique, hilarious, and awesome. Already, I accept the apology from Fox for Baraka in Origins: Wolverine.

2 The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is regarded as one of the best films ever made, for obvious reasons. However, let's talk about the opening. The Dark Knight opens with a heist sequence. Already, I'm in. Then we see how the heist goes down: the Joker and his henchmen gunning each other down.

The sequence is thrilling and exhilarating, and introduces us to one of the best villains ever put on film, in my opinion. The Joker.

3 Guardians of the Galaxy

When the opening sequence starts, we see Star-Lord in a mysterious atmosphere, cool. Then he puts his Walkman on and listens to Come and Get Your Love by Redbone. The title appears, and Star-Lord's incredible dancing. From that point on, I knew I was in for a ride of a film. Guess what? I was! Guardians of the Galaxy is awesome, and it started being awesome in this sequence.

4 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Okay, I must admit, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a meh movie, which is disappointing. If you love the movie, that's great! Keep on loving it. We all have different opinions, and that's what makes us interesting. However, I must say the opening is incredible. The Waynes' death scene was incredible, and I thought it would be tiring. From the excellent cinematography to setting up the tone and vibe, and the font was great.

However, what got me was the soundtrack: Beautiful Lie, in my opinion, is the best soundtrack from the film and one of the best Batman soundtracks.

5 Watchmen

I'm one of those people who loved Watchmen. It's not flawless, but it's a great movie in my opinion. When the movie opens, we are introduced to a great fight sequence. However, the opening credits with The Times They Are A-Changin' are edited fantastically into the sequence.

The visuals, oh my... The way the opening tells the story through visuals is incredible and introduces us to a fantastic movie, well, fantastic to me anyway. Also, the Last Supper reference was awesome.

6 Kick-Ass

Kick-Ass is a great film, a unique comic book movie that opens cleverly and hilariously, the way the wonderment is introduced and then the change of tone. Also, when your comic book movie opens with the main character enjoying himself, shall we say, a couple of times, you know what kind of movie you're in for.

7 Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The Winter Soldier is one of the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. The movie opens with Captain America being a badass on a boat. He throws his epic shield at people's necks and kicks them off the boat, literally. (I do mean it. I'm not misusing the word. He does kick a dude out of a boat, and it's badass.)

Then we see the tone that this movie will have: an epic spy thriller where Captain America throws shields at people's necks.

8 The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises is a spectacular movie. The movie opens with three guys being taken onto a plane, and we are introduced to Bane. This introduction to Bane is badass, and the sequence itself on the plane is fantastic. It gets better from here. The way Bane speaks is so awesome.

9 X2: X-Men United

X2 is X2, a fantastic film, but you all knew that. The movie opens with Nightcrawler being a badass and attacking the White House using his apparating skills. The sequence is incredibly fun, brilliantly filmed, and one of the best action sequences in a comic book film.

10 Spider-Man

You realize you're about to watch a Spider-Man movie. It starts with a great opening sequence, and the theme by Danny Elfman is a wonder to my ears.
