1 Batman Batman aka Bruce Wayne is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27. In film, he has been portrayed by Lewis Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck. He has been voiced by a variety of voice actors, including Olan Soule, Kevin Conroy, Rino Romano, Diedrich Bader, and Jason O'Mara.

Had to watch his parents get shot in the face at a young age and is now traumatised from it.
Went through intense, mental, physical and emotional pain in his training.
Got his back broken by Bane.
Got his adoptive son, Jason murdered and struggled not to kill the Joker.
His friend/partner, Barbara got paralysed.
Has to deal with Superman's rubbish.
Many more friends died or betrayed him.
Has a brat for an unwanted son who also dies.

This is a small list of all the pain he has gone through and is still fighting.

Well, Bruce Wayne has witness the death of his parents till he grew up to become the greatest crime fighter in Gotham. Other bad things happen when he has to deal with the Joker who killed Jason Todd, paralyze Batgirl, and tortured Commissioner Gordon. Bruce also deals with issues with the Al Ghuls and other villains that involves around the Batman family.

2 Spider-Man Spider-Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics existing in its shared universe. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. In films, Spider-Man has been portrayed by actors Tobey Maguire (2002–2007), Andrew Garfield (2012–2014) and Tom Holland (2016–present), who has portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2016.

Peter Parker has witnesses the deaths of his uncle, Captain Stacey, Gwen Stacey and others around him, but with great power comes with great responsibility he can still overcome the odds and fights on as Spider-Man.

3 Wolverine Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly associated with the X-Men. His powers and abilities include a healing factor and his signature adamantium claws and adamantium skeleton.

Wolverine has sad times over the decades including his relationship with Victor Creed, death of his love interests, the struggles with his X-Men teammates and even have to live his life after losing his healing factor. Now that in the comics he died, his legacy lives on.

4 Hulk Robert Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk or Bruce Banner, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and was portrayed by Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After being exposed to Gamma radiation, Bruce Banner has been in darker paths when he becomes angry and turns into the Hulk. He dealt with Betty Ross' general dad, fought dangerous enemies, being thrown into space and tries to cure himself to get rid of the Hulk forever. In Civil War II story arc, Bruce wants Hawkeye to kill him if he goes angry again and it happens just that.

5 X-23 Laura Kinney, originally known as X-23 and later the second known Wolverine, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men.

Cloned by Weapon X, Laura Kinney had an awful life when she was raised as a "lab rat" for the program. She was subjected to cruel, unusual torture and being trained as a merciless assassin. Her rage causes her to kill her mother accidently and end up being the lone wolf. When she was "fathered" by Wolverine, she becomes a better person than a killer and become the member of the X-Men. After Wolverine's death, Laura follows his footsteps to become the all new Wolverine.

6 Punisher The Punisher is a fictional antihero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Gerry Conway and artist John Romita, Sr., with publisher Stan Lee green-lighting the name.

With his family gone after the gruesome murder of vicious mobsters, Frank Castle looks to punish those who ruined him and everyone who gets in his way and becomes the Punisher.

7 Magneto Magneto is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men.

Those times when he lost his family when he was little and he lost his wife and daughter due to angry mob after he discovers his mutant powers. Magneto soon gathers a group of mutants and declares war on humans, but not until the X-Men stops him.

Batman's family died.
Magneto's family was murdered in a concentration camp where he was forced to work the gas chambers, then when the war ended his wife and daughter were killed by a mob before he murdered them all as an act of vengeance.

8 Red Hood

His sad life is where he had a rough childhood and during his time as Robin he was killed by the Joker. He soon came back from the dead and looking for his murderer till Batman tries to stop him.

9 Daredevil Daredevil is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Daredevil was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with an unspecified amount of input from Jack Kirby. The character was first portrayed in live action by Rex Smith in the 1989 television movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. He was played by Ben Affleck in the 2003 film Daredevil, and is portrayed by Charlie Cox in the Marvel Television productions Daredevil and The Defenders on Netflix for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When his father was killed by gangsters, Matt Murdock becomes the crime fighter known as Daredevil. He also had sad moments when his first love interest gets killed by Bullseye and again Bullseye kills Elektra.

10 The Thing

When Ben Grimm becomes the Thing, he wasn't happy about his new appearance and his ex-girlfriend left him because of what he is now. Ben soon found a love interest who's blind and she cares for him.

I do remember he had it rough when his pal Human Torch died and bad things happen to the team when Secret Wars started thanks to Doctor Doom.

11 Silk Cindy Moon is a Korean American fictional superhero, known as Silk, appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.

During around her teens, Cindy Moon was bit by the same spider that bit Peter Parker before it died. When Cindy discovers she has spider powers, a man named Ezekiel has to put her in a bunker to keep her safe from a Inheritor named Morlun. It's sad that she missed her family and spend her life in a bunker for 10 years till Spidey broke her outta there. Now as Silk, she fights crime and she's been searching for her family ever since.

12 Ant-Man Ant-Man is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, Ant-Man's first appearance was in Tales to Astonish #27. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Paul Rudd.

Before Scott Lang, Hank Pym has being doing well as a hero and as an Avenger for years until things went rock bottom. He and his wife the Wasp have been arguing each other, next his wife died during Secret Invasion and then when his wife came back alive (even though I've been missing out on reading his stories awhile). Sad thing now is that Hank has been merged with his nemesis Ultron to become as one and they end up in space.

13 Jean Grey Jean Grey, or Jean Grey-Summers, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character has been known under the aliases Marvel Girl, Phoenix, and Dark Phoenix. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963). Famke Janssen portrayed the character in five installments of the X-Men films. Sophie Turner portrays a younger version in the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse. Turner will return to portray the character as well as her alternate personality the Phoenix in the 2019 film Dark Phoenix.

Young Jean Grey is still around, you know when her and the original X-Men are trapped in the present and that time when Kitty Pryde was their teacher.

She was killed by Wolverine but now she is back!
