The Top Ten
1 Iron Man Iron Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, as well as its associated media. The character was created by writer and editor Stan Lee, developed by scripter Larry Lieber, and designed by artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. He made his first appearance in Tales of Suspense #39. In The Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

Listen, without Iron Man, the Avengers could not exist. All the big plays, all the money, almost all the brain and absolutely all the tech comes from this genius billionaire playboy philanthropist. His suit is literally fit for fighting gods, and his blasters can be stopped ONLY by Captain America's shield and the Tesseract itself. He is hugely intelligent, and one of the coolest things about him is that he makes and fixes all his own stuff! NONE of the others can do that. He is a born front-man, but doesn't mind taking the backseat occasionally.

Also, did you see how he didn't treat Banner like a fearsome beast, but instead like a human being? He was absolutely fearless in his presence, and that was really nice for Banner.

And last thing... do you remember when he showed up in Stuttgart to stop Loki? And he took over SHIELD's systems? That awesome music completely encapsulates his unparalleled style - which, arguably, is his strongest and coolest asset that he brings to ...more

Iron Man is literally the greatest avenger of all time. The team may complain about his actions sometimes but lets face it...they can't do it without him. Binge watch all the Avengers movies and you'd understand where I'm coming from. He practically finances everything, even makes tech gadgets for his Team members. Besides Thor and Hulk, I don't see anyone one else on the team strong enough to carry the stuff Ironman is able to carry. Combine that with brains, wit and the wealth...and he still sits back and lets Cap take charge and I wonder why people still think he's an ass. I will pick Ironman over any Avenger any day...and if I were to pick my top 3...it'd be Ironman, Hulk and Thor.

He has the brains, the attitude, the heart, the resourcefulness, the flaws and complexity... what's not to like about him? For someone who wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider, or injected with a super soldier serum, or born a god, he's absurdly powerful, and was the only one besides a fully-powered Thor to draw blood from Thanos. Cap might be the heart of the MCU that we should all aspire toward, but Iron Man is the soul that we can all relate to. He's definitely the coolest out of all the Avengers. Can't wait to see how he fixes everything in Avengers 4.

He sometimes can look very cocky, but however he is very dependable... This cocky guy is a crucial part of the avengers... Although not the main leader, I think he is wiser than anyone in the avengers. His self-control better than most of the huge roles such as cap or scarlett. Of course he do have flaws. But seeing all the characters, I just think he is the perfect one. His flaws not as bold as his talent, ability, cleverness, and (sometimes) wisdom.

2 Captain America Captain Steven Grant Rogers, most known as Steve Rogers or Captain America, is a fictional superhero appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was a World War II veteran and is known as the world's first superhero. The character was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon and was portrayed by Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He is the best superhero of all time. He saved Vision from Thanos' alien guy in Infinity War and could've got stabbed in the chest if Vision hadn't decided to help him, he's always putting other people before himself, understands his team members and helps them grow stronger emotionally, is willing to do whatever it takes to save the world, and is able to use what he has resourcefully. come on, all he uses is a SHIELD but still can beat the literal crap out of the enemy. His personality also brightens his character and above all improves the atmosphere during the movie. How he told the general in Infinity War that he would fight him too if he got in the way of doing what's right. How he started crying in Endgame after Black Widow, one of his closest friends, died. All these little moments make him a great superhero and my favorite of all time.

He's the ultimate ass kicking machine and a natural leader. You know you're a straight up badass when the god of thunder follows your orders. Best part is he is just a human in peak physical condition without armor or godlike powers. Not convinced? Read the infinity gauntlet to see a normal man stand up to an omnipotent being with no fear whatsoever.

Captain America has something that no other Avengers have: the ability to inspire others by being the best, the most honorable, the noblest, most courageous and most compassionate one could ever be.

He is what is hard to be in real life..
Being Mean, Arrogant, Not to care is easy,
Being Noble, Worthy is what is hard and what is needed in todays world.

I think cap should be first because he goes into battle with a shield. It takes a lot of time and practice to learn to throw that thing. I also know that he is the strongest avenger and the most humble. In Age of Ultron he was able to move Thors hammer a little bit and did not say a word about it. He is also the fastest avenger.

3 Thor Thor Odinson is a fictional superhero appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name, is the Asgardian god of thunder and possesses the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which grants him the ability of flight and weather manipulation amongst his other superhuman attributes. He has been portrayed by Eric Allan Kramer in the TV film, The Incredible Hulk Returns and Chris Hemsworth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Don't tick this guy off. He has a super powerful electric enchanted hammer that comes to his hand whenever he wants it to, and no one else can pick it up. He also has super strange H and immortality. Still want to tick him off? He's also a god. Good luck with that.

Nobility, valor, super strength, superb combat skills, immortality, vast regenerative capacity, and his hammer is one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel universe. Enough said.

Thor smashes every avenger with a single stroke of lightning blast. No one can lift thor's hammer as he is the only powerful god and eligible to lift it. Thor has do death, he will live forever!

Thor is the God of Thunder and the owner of an enchanted hammer! He has strength, good brains and is a powerful leader! He will always be my favourite, haters won't change my mind.

4 Black Widow Natalia Alianovna Romanova, most known as Natasha Romanoff or the Black Widow, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is one of the most talented spies and assassins in the entire world and is a founding member of the Avengers. The character was created by Stan Lee, Jae Lee, Don Heck, Paul Jenkins, and Don Rico, and is poratrayed by Scarlett Johansson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

She is the only who can defeat the best avengers, always in the shadow of the others but yet has fantastic abilities and faculties at the height of the best!

Vote for her in all the lists she appears in so people can know more about her! Heroes such as Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, Jean Grey, and the woman in red who-shall-not-be-named( who I LOATHE with every FIBER of my BEING)

I don't understand why she is so low down she is awesome, fast, and a bad ass at fighting. He costume is great, her ability to fight is great, and she does not take any crap from anybody.

Black Widow belongs with Captain America. Hulk, Sharon and Peggy Carter or anyone else that gets in the way should dig a hole and die in it

5 Spider Man Spider-Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics existing in its shared universe. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. In films, Spider-Man has been portrayed by actors Tobey Maguire (2002–2007), Andrew Garfield (2012–2014) and Tom Holland (2016–present), who has portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2016.

Spiderman has always been my favorite superhero. I'm not saying he would be able to beat one of the more powerful ones like the Hulk for example but I think his powers are the coolest. I watched him when I was really little and like every birthday I've had I'd wished for his awesome agility and web shooting powers. Again, I'm not saying he is the most powerful, I'm just saying he is my personal favorite.

Lots of these characters aren't avengers but there avengers characters Spider-Man appears in the avengers movies so I guess that counts as him being an avenger for a short time.

Spider man is the coolest avenger. He has a high tech suit and is just going to put his life on the line for any body any day any time. He also has the coolest super power of them all.

I remember a list where tony stark was in second and stupid spider-brat at first. Now he's at seventh and Iron Man first. Damn on you, Parker. But why is he in the top 10?

6 The Incredible Hulk Robert Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk or Bruce Banner, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and was portrayed by Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The big green smashing machine. He has no special weapons, no armor. Just immense strength, and plenty of pure rage. When he uses both on you, you better hope he doesn't find you.

I like hulk but I think he should be #10. Just because he is stronger does not mean he is the best. He was beat by Thanos and Ironman (In a bigger suit) but Ironman has now mad blasters to stop hulk. Just saying he is not the best.

Hulk even stopped Thor's hammer. Come on, he is the strongest in the team. And Banner is even more incredible as a scientist.

Lol guys he's practically invincible and he has no limit of strength... Guys he can destroy planets in 1 single punch and can pick up a gods hammer! The Hulk would destroy any other super hero... It might take a very long time but adventually he's gonna get so strong that he could even kill super man.

7 Black Panther T'Challa, better known as the Black Panther, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1966, first appearing in Fantastic Four #52 (cover-dated July 1966) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He is known to be the first black superhero in mainstream American comics and hails from the fictional African country of Wakanda. The character has been portrayed by Chadwick Boseman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He's one of Marvel's greatest characters. Did you know he invented the Avenger's quinjet? He's one of the top 8 smartest people in Marvel. BP leads the most technologically advanced nation in Marvel earth, a place where Tony's lab is your average little lab. Black Panther has defeated the forces of the Super skrulls when all heroes on earth fell to them. He also led the Avengers to capture Thanos, defended Wakanda from the attacks of Mephisto and beat a whole Doom and his Lateveria forces.

He is a deadly warrior with extreme leadership especially when leading in infinity war as well as a brilliant scientist/inventor though I admit his sister does most of the work these days.

Black Panther whooped Iron Man, Captain America, Deadpool, Wolverine and others butts in the comics. The only characters deserving to be ahead of him are Thor, Hulk and Spider-Man.

Intelligent, strong, fast, and cunning. This guy is a true warrior, he is mysterious with his get up and attitude and I really just love him.

8 Doctor Strange Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, best known under his alias Doctor Strange, is a fictional superhero created by artist Steve Ditko and writer Stan Lee appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Doctor Strange serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. He has been portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mentored by The Ancient One, Former Sorcerer Supreme, He discovered the Kamar-Taj- Where he trained to be a sorcerer- after his hands are horrifically injured in a car accident.

Depends on the view. For me the most satisfying character is Peter Quill. Let everyone laugh mostly always. But when it depends on the character it is Doctor Strange. He easily would have beaten Thanos, when Marvel haven't been planing on making a sequence. Imagine, that his teacher was able to remove the soul from the body and the soul wasn't able to get into the body, until it was allowed to (like it was done to Hulk). So he is very interesting in what he can do, but the movies didn't allow that, because the story would have been too short. So at the end he is the most interesting character, but Marvel hasn't used it in the lack of a storyline. It was about losing money, but still, I think, he could have easily beaten Thanos. As in the Doctor Strange movie is said, they get their energy for the powers from a different Universe, so there would have been infinte of it.

Given that I loved him as sherlock, doctor strange was my favorite character. Love his power, still has an ego but in a good way, he used his brain not all powers...he can be a good member of avengers but he chose to protect the earth silently until the infinity war strike...csnt believe he was at 20.sad,.

Doctor Strange is my favorite Avenger. Period. I don't really have anything else to say except for that.

Master of Magic and one of the strongest avenger who contains a infinity stone.

9 Ant-Man Ant-Man is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, Ant-Man's first appearance was in Tales to Astonish #27. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Paul Rudd.

He's so funny and he's one of my favorite superheroes. In his movie I laughed so much and was definitely entertained. It had and easy plot to follow and it was just cool. Nobody doesn't like this guy.

Can I just say Antman is one of the best characters in the mcu but he is Sooo underrated. I mean who was the first person to go to the quantum realm AND comeback. Who saves half the galaxy in endgame. And who gives us the iconic line "does anyone have any orange slices". The answer to all of these is Antman.

He is funny, he's awesome, and he is friends with Louis- The Best Character in the MCU.

Ant man is last?! That's it, I'm done

10 Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is thought to be one of the most powerful people in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and can control things with her mind. Her powers are a result of experiments by Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, who used Loki’s scepter to give her and her brother Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver, their powers. Her first appearance was against the Avengers during Avengers: Age Of Ultron. She then started serving Ultron before switching teams with her brother and joining the Avengers. She was part of the 50% ...read more.

She destroyed so many of Ultrons robots and basically has to snap her fingers and bye. She controlled vision in Civil War, stopped everyone in the big showdown in Civil War, holds back Thanos and destroys infinity stone, saves part of Wakanda when she destroyed the tanks.

She should be number 1 because she has the power to warp reality and change it as well as reanimating corpses(this is seen in the comics) they should show it in the movie so everyone can see how powerful she really is. She can probably defeat any of the avengers, loki, And probably even thanos is her powers were at its max. She got into most of the avengers minds and messed some of them up pretty bad including Thor(A GOD), Iron man(whom you ranked #1), Black widow, captain America, and she even manages to kill Ultron and Proxima Midnight.

She destroyed an infinity stone AND held back Thanos AND AN INFINITY STONE, all while having an emotional breakdown by being forced to kill her boyfriend and support system after having everyone else in her life she loves die. She is 100% the strongest avenger both physically and emotionally, and deserves to be #1.

She is probably the most powerful. She can control the rest of the avengers and make them kill themselves. She's so powerful! She is definitely my favorite! ❤️ She is also a strong a fierce women which I love! The actress Elizabeth is also really pretty! There is no words to describe how awesome of a character she is!

The Contenders
11 Loki Loki Laufeyson, or Loki Odinson, is a fictional character appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the adoptive brother and archenemy of Thor, and is known as the "God of Mischief". In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

Loki is the bomb. I loved Tom Hiddleston (Loki) already so this film made me love him more. he's so badass and sexy (I never said that). Althoigh the movie is supposed to be about a bunch of superheroes fighting to SAVE the world, I think mosst people were rooting for Loki, trying to RULE the world. And also I know he's the villain but he has more fans tham the actual superheroes (besides Iron Man of course)

Loki is just so cool! Ou cannot beat loki. I know he's the bad guy but he seems to be more loved than all the actual superheroes. He could have won that war if he really tried but all way through the avengers I was totally team loki!

Uhh it's obvious he's the most powerful (even though I really don't like him myself) because Thor, iron man, black widow, and a bunch of other people needed to defeat him. He was one but the avengers had a lot of people to fight him.

I love Loki and all, but he isn't a hero. HE'S a villain. Of course he's the best villain I've ever seen, but he shouldn't be ranked as a hero.

12 Hawkeye Clinton Francis "Clint" Barton, better known as Hawkeye, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a former special agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., where he worked under the supervision of Phil Coulson. Known for his use of the bow and arrow as his primary weapon, Barton became one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best agents and assisted in the recruitment of Black Widow. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has been portrayed by Jeremy Renner.

If I have 2 votes, I will pick iron man and this man. He is a family man. Even he looks not that great, but his personality have not been contaminated a lot like anyone else. He have the best self-control, because he is the one who have the most normal personal life in the avengers. And, what can be better to attack from distances? He crushed city facilities and killed civillians accidentally less than anyother avengers. Because you just need to shoot a person to attack one person. Not blow up the whole building.

Clint deserves better. First movie he didn't get much screen time apart from working as Loki's lackey; then they pulled a twist on us in Ultron that was unloyal to the comics and made his character a little more boring. Civil war used him very little; in the comics he's funny, dangerous and quite the assassin alongside Romanoff. I hope in Infinity War they do better.

Hawkeye is so underrated, at the end of Infinity War I was so mad he wasn't in it. Hate the family twist cause I will ship Clintasha till the day I die but I'm happy they're giving him a "long play" for Avengers 4.

Plus who doesn't love an archer?

He is, in my opinion, the most relatable and realistic hero among the Avengers. He may be sometimes kind of brash but he still is my favorite one of them. Even without having actual real powers(except in some comics) he fights alongside those who have.

13 Thanos Thanos is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Jim Starlin and Mike Friedrich. The character first appeared in Iron Man #55 and has been portrayed by actors Damion Poitier and Josh Brolin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He is the one of the most bad ass characters in all of MARVEL.

But he's very powerful

Very cool and powerful

14 Nick Fury Colonel Nicholas Joseph Fury is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer/artist Jack Kirby and writer Stan Lee, Fury first appeared in Sgt. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson.
15 Winter Soldier James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Sebastian Stan.

Dude, this is Bucky we're talking about here. He deserves to be in third or fifth place.

He's got super soldier serum, a metal arm, great hair, assassin skills, and hotness.

Did you see his fighting in the Winter Soldier?!?

He is so hot, words cannot express!

16 Vision The Vision is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is an android and a member of the Avengers who first appeared in The Avengers #57. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Paul Bettany.

He's awesome! Imagine how will his power will looked like if he has all six gems.

The smartest of them all.

Thor should be number 1

God has arrived

17 Gamora Gamora is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in Strange Tales #180. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is portrayed by Zoe Saldana.

Gamora is hot and a bad ass. Being able to call her self the most dangers women in the universe is pretty sick man.

18 Rhino

When ever you see a giant rhino...

...RUN!

19 Quicksilver Quicksilver is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in the comic book X-Men #4 and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

In my opinion, he should be way higher in this. He is a very powerful and real character. Even though you only see him in one movie, he still was a great guy and such an amazing brother. He worked to protect his sister Wanda every chance that he could and he cared about her so much. He protected the only family he had left. He also deserved so much better. He had so many opportunities for his storyline to be developed more. He also sacrificed himself to save a member of the Avengers and a young boy. He is a true hero. He is such an underrated character and Pietro deserved so much better.

I'm shocked that Quicksilver isn't in the top ten. He is so fast and protective of his sister. I wanted to see him in the other avenger films if the character wasn't killed off.

If he where in avengers infinity war Thanos would have lost easy. He would have run around him so fast that he would be able to punch him really hard without hurting him self. He really should be second on the list.

He is amazing. He should be in top 10.

20 Captain Marvel Carol Susan Jane Danvers, or Captain Marvel, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is portrayed by Brie Larson in the movies Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gene Colan, Danvers first appeared as an officer in the United States Air Force and a colleague of the Kree superhero Mar-Vell in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (March 1968) and later became the first incarnation of Ms. Marvel in Ms. Marvel #1 (cover-dated Jan. 1977) after her DNA was fused with Mar-Vell's during an explosion, giving her superhuman powers.

Why is she so low in the list. I think she is the strongest. Especially how she destroyed thanos' ships.

She is definitely the most powerful avenger and she deserves to be first!

21 Abomination
22 Ultron Ultron is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is most recognized as a foe of the Avengers, and has a quasi-familial relationship with several of their members, especially his creator Hank Pym. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by James Spader.

His attitude towards stark. Just Funny!

Hard to beat. Should be in top 3

He took on the avengers!

23 Falcon Falcon is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan, and introduced in Captain America #117. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Anthony Mackie.

I've always liked him. They just don't show him enough in movies except Civil War which he was AWESOME in. He needs his own movie or something so people can see how awesome he is.

Falcon has amazing aerobatic skills as well as acrobatic ones and his suit is great especially in the comics!

24 Red Hulk

He is not an Avenger

25 Wolverine Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly associated with the X-Men. His powers and abilities include a healing factor and his signature adamantium claws and adamantium skeleton.

He is actually avengers

I love iron man and hulk
