Top 10 Most Powerful Batman Villains

We're talking raw power and overall strength here, not who's the best or most iconic. Because let's be real, if this were about the best or most charismatic villain, The Joker would probably laugh his way to the top. But strength? That's a whole different ball game. We're talking about the villains who can go toe-to-toe with Batman in a brawl, or those who possess powers that even Bruce Wayne's advanced tech can barely handle.

And hey, I know what you're thinking: "What about the Justice League villains? Or Darkseid?" But let's stick to the topic at hand - this list is dedicated solely to Batman's rogue gallery. So, as much as we'd love to include the omnipotent beings that give the entire Justice League a run for their money, they're not making an appearance here. We're keeping it exclusive to the foes that primarily plague Gotham's guardian.
The Top Ten
Bane Bane is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

Bane is the man who "broke" the Bat. He is at the peak of physical condition, having been hardened by his upbringing in prison. Bane is highly intelligent, almost on par with Batman, and has access to a toxin called Venom, which significantly increases his strength and size. The full extent of his strength when using Venom remains unknown.

Bane is also the strongest villain in Batman movies. He defeated Batman and broke his back. He was trained in the League of Shadows, but he cannot fight as well as Deathstroke.

He broke Batman's back. He's as strong as Batman. Batman only beat him because of gadgets and help.

Solomon Grundy Solomon Grundy is a fictional character, usually depicted as a supervillain and occasional antihero.

Grundy may not be a traditional Batman villain, as he was originally a Green Lantern adversary, but he has made appearances in Batman comics. Grundy boasts immense strength, durability, and stamina. He is slow and unintelligent due to his undead nature, but his main advantage is his ability to resurrect after death. While Ra's Al Ghul may achieve immortality, in a fight, Grundy would likely prevent him from escaping or continuing his quest for immortality.

Clayface

Clayface is a massive shapeshifter who can alter his size and morph into anyone he chooses. In some variations, he even adopts the DNA, personality traits, and other characteristics of the person he transforms into. He has incredible strength and can create weapons like swords and axes from his body. He can also detach parts of himself and repair them effortlessly. His clay skin is stronger and more flexible than that of Batman (and humans in general), allowing him to perform extraordinary acrobatic feats.

Clayface can literally morph into anything.

Poison Ivy Poison Ivy is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

In addition to bob_mc_bobinson's comment, in some versions, Poison Ivy can kill with a mere touch. She has always had genius-level intellect, and with her deep obsession with environmental issues, she has enough motivation to destroy the human race if she desires (and she often does).

Poison Ivy can control minds, hypnotize, and command plants. She once mind-controlled Superman and made him fight Batman. She can hypnotize with a single kiss, which she frequently uses to manipulate guards and escape from prison.

Killer Croc Killer Croc is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

Killer Croc has immense strength, speed, stamina, and durability, and he's terrifying. His powers are comparable to those of Aquaman! Essentially a mutated crocodile, his body is covered in thick scales that can withstand punches from The Lizard and provide him with camouflage.

The Arkham version of him is my favorite, but I'm disappointed in the Gotham one.

He's stronger than Bane and is very smart.

The Joker The Joker is a fictional super villain created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940) published by DC Comics. Credit for the Joker's creation is disputed; Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design,... read more

The Joker is the most powerful and terrifying villain in the Batman universe. What is more frightening: a physically strong villain, or a deranged lunatic clown on the brink of death who has the entire city's mafia - and even Batman to some extent - at his disposal?

Joker is the main villain of Batman, and his attitude is awesome. I am a fan of him, but he cannot fight Batman in hand-to-hand combat. However, he will make Batman suffer.

Well, just saying, Joker can actually beat Bane. Plus, he defeated Superman and Wonder Woman. Look it up on YouTube.

Mr. Freeze Mr. Freeze, real name Victor Fries, is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.
Two-Face Two-Face/Harvey Dent is a fictional villain from DC Comics. Harvey Dent was one of Gotham's most trusted citizens until he had acid poured on his face making him go insane and become a criminal by the name Two-Face. In film, he has been portrayed by Billy Dee Williams in Batman, Tommy Lee Jones in Batman... read more

Come on, guys, Two-Face is the most skilled gunman in the Batman series. He can hold his own against Bane, Joker, Killer Croc, and Penguin. His durability is incredible. He nearly defeated Batman in the movie Batman vs. Two-Face. He deserves to be ranked number 3.

Deathstroke

Deathstroke knows more martial arts than Batman and has defeated him in one-on-one combat multiple times. He can use more of his brainpower than Batman and has the ability to regenerate. He also possesses greater strength than Bane and Killer Croc, superior fighting skills to Ra's Al Ghul, and intelligence that surpasses Batman's. In addition, he is highly skilled with firearms and swords. Deathstroke is arguably the most powerful Batman villain.

Deathstroke is considered one of the most skilled and dangerous assassins. He has bested Batman several times and has even taken on the entire Teen Titans. Deathstroke is a perfect match for Batman and even inspired the creation of the infamous anti-hero, Deadpool.

The Scarecrow

The Newcomers

? Firefly

In his phosphorus form from the Batman show in 2004, he almost destroys Gotham. In that show, he beats most people on this list. Clayface and Batman Who Laughs are probably the most powerful, though.

? Killer Moth
The Contenders
Ra's al Ghul Ra's al Ghul is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

Ra's has above-average intelligence and is an excellent strategist. He possesses immense agility, acrobatic skills, and exceptional sword-fighting abilities. As the leader of the League of Shadows, he commands a small army of ninjas. What makes Ra's so powerful is that he can achieve temporary immortality by bathing in a special liquid he discovered. This liquid halts aging and grants him near-indestructibility. However, he must return to it periodically to maintain his immortality.

The Court of Owls
The Mad Hatter

A madman who revealed Batman's secret identity - yeah, I like him.

The Riddler The Riddler is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

This guy's traps are overpowered, plus his gun skills are really good. He was smarter than Bane, and his tricks are unbelievable.

Hush

He is the one who has the knowledge to outsmart Batman, whether in a battle of wits or hand-to-hand combat. He is always three steps ahead of Batman.

He should easily be in the top 5! Hush is one of the best Batman villains! He can defeat Batman!

Man-Bat
The Penguin The Penguin is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.

He's pretty tough. I have to admit, he beat Batman with ease. Look it up on YouTube, and then in the rematch, it was a tie.

Also, this guy should be number 5.

Arkham Knight
Calendar Man
