Scott Pilgrim Characters Who are Absent from the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Movie

While the movie does include quite a few characters from the comics, some characters are not included or were cut due to time constraints.
The Top Ten
Hollie Hawkes

She is Kim Pine's co-worker at No Account Video. She is known for driving Kim nuts and is also implied to have slept with one of Kim's former boyfriends. They have a very frenemy vibe.

While she doesn't appear in the movie, she is mentioned by Julie and implied to be one of Scott's former girlfriends, even though the two never dated in the comics. Her rivalry with Kim is also entertaining.

Lisa Miller

One of Scott's infamous love interests. Although the two of them never technically dated, it was a very will-they-won't-they type of relationship that ultimately went nowhere.

Lisa decided to move to LA before eventually returning to Canada. Scott's memory of her seems iffy all around, but the two can be considered acquaintances. She's also the owner of the Sneaky Dee's restaurant in the comics.

Mr. Chau

Knives Chau's murderous father, who tries to kill Scott in the comics. This occurs during Scott's fight with Roxy Richter.

He ultimately stops trying to kill Scott when he realizes that Scott is making an effort to change as a person and decides to leave him alone. Mr. Chau is known for speaking fluent Japanese. I'm not sure if he appears in the anime, honestly.

Lawrence West Pilgrim

Scott's brother has a very small role in the comics to begin with. He shows up in Volume 5 and has a small cameo appearance.

His role in the series is ultimately not that major to begin with. Interestingly, he does appear in the anime, despite being absent from the movie altogether. Out of the Pilgrim siblings, he's the most forgotten one of the bunch.

Mr. Pilgrim

Scott's father has a very small recurring role in the comics, but he is somewhat noticeable. He does not often have much dialogue and shows up in small bursts here and there.

He's mostly supportive of his son, although he is also aware of his son's impulsive antics, much like Scott's mom is. He can be spotted a handful of times in the comics and the anime.

Mrs. Pilgrim

Scott's mother, and neither she nor Scott's father has an established first name. As for why? I'm not sure, but it is something to keep track of nonetheless.

She does appear in the comics and the anime and can be spotted in the video game as well. She's a very supportive parental figure.

Mrs. Chau

Knives Chau's mother. She is not as violent as Mr. Chau, although she does appear to be assertive nonetheless.

She doesn't go out of her way to kill Scott Pilgrim, although she does become aware of him once Knives meets him on the subway.

Jason Kim

One of Kim Pine's exes after Scott himself. He's so forgettable that not even Scott Pilgrim remembers him, despite seeing him a handful of times.

Jason is known for carrying boxes and for cheating on Kim with her co-worker Hollie Hawkes. His role in the comics is that of a recurring character - one that shows up and then vanishes when the story feels he needs to.

Lauren Wood

One of Lisa Miller's friends who only appears during a flashback. The amount of dialogue she has is rather minimal, and her impact on the story is insignificant.

She's one of those blink-and-you-miss-it kinds of characters that's just kind of there, in all honesty. I can see why she isn't included in the movie or the anime, for that matter, given how obscure she is.

Joseph

He's a character who appears towards the end of the comics. He winds up dating Stephen Stills and is openly gay.

Joseph helps Sex Bob-Omb start recording their debut album despite the group inevitably falling apart. His role is rather small, but it is interesting nonetheless.
