Top 10 Worst Country Songs that Gained Traction in 2026

Country music is like the Wild West these days. There's a whole lot happening, and the bar for entry is apparently nonexistent now.

Apparently, you don't even have to be human anymore to enter country music. There are some good songs out there, and then there's slop. There is a whole lot of slop everywhere. A.I. slop has really ruined everything, huh?

Here are the janky, weird, abysmal, and just straight-up horrible garbage songs from 2026. These are songs that were either released in 2026 or late 2025 (from October of 2025 or later), thus gaining traction in 2026.

The Top Ten
  1. Walk My Walk - Breaking Rust

At least most of these other songs were written by actual humans, but this one is one of the more "prominent" AI songs out there, and it's so terrible I don't even know how anyone can listen to it with a straight face. This AI bot really makes a blue-collar song, lmao. It's so bad that it's actually stupidly hilarious.

I mean, you can tell from the artist name, Breaking Rust. Yeah, this is an AI slop artist that's actively ruining our brains and environment as we speak. There's audacity this stupid computer clanker has to make a blue-collar song, pfft. The worst part of this is that some people are gullible enough to fall for it and believe it's real. Screw this song and screw AI. Technically, this was a song from late 2025, but it gained traction in 2026.

  2. I Don't Care - Cain Walker

If you're asking who is this "man," it's literally an AI artist. That's right, we have these stupid machines creating literal AI slop music now. Just listening to this song, you can tell it sounds like a damn computer made this because, Holy Mother of God, is it horrible.

The worst part is that gullible people fall for it and think it's real. I hate that we are in this situation where AI can make these songs that pollute our brains and the environment itself. There's a million more of these kind of songs that should all rot in hell because, seriously, what are we doing? Who is actually going to listen to this slop? Again, technically it was a late 2025 song, but it gained traction in 2026.

  3. Boots (feat. Fetty Wap) - Russell Dickerson

Ugh, kill this song with fire. This song is so horrible. Talk about a half-put-together song, this one is just a monstrosity that never should've happened. At times it sounds like a dying possum.

The lyrics themselves are somehow worse than that because they are just glazing some girl with boots and a sundress on, like we haven't seen this a million times before. Just look at these lyrics:

    "B-double-O-T-S

    Sun D-R-E-double-S, yeah

This ole boy all in a mess

    I never will forget

She had those lips like a red Corvette

Heart singin' like a June sunset

    She had my head spinnin'

Like she was spinnin' all in them

All in them B-double-O-T-S, yeah, yeah

    All in them B-double-O-T-S, yeah"

Just hot garbage all around, and one of those songs I actively want to vomit just by listening to it.

  4. Blue Collar Symphony - Pat McAfee

I can't believe we are living in this reality where Pat McAfee of all people is entering the country music scene with this album The Diary of a Polarizing Figure. I can't even take this seriously. Who would actually genuinely listen to this? Any song from that album could rightfully be here.

This whole album is just AI meets bro country meets Imagine Dragons meets a dying cat all in a blender. The end result is this abomination, which never under any circumstances should've seen the light of day. What makes this one so bad is that he's trying to act all like "we didn't have much growing up" when he's now the face of ESPN. I don't care for Pat McAfee one way or the other, but this is an abomination of an album that makes you want to rip your ears out. Even his supporters think it's garbage, and that's offensive to the garbage itself.

  5. OIL MONEY - Graham Barham

Really, any song from Graham Barham's album Club Country could be on this list, but this one takes the cake for how genuinely awful it is. The song lyrics compare a woman's body and looks to "oil money," as in profits from crude oil. Maybe it's inspired by the hit show Landman, but still, this is hot garbage and not anything Billy Bob Thornton's character Tommy Norris would listen to.

It's a cheap way to get promotion, and on top of that, it's a regression to the worst parts of "bro country" from over a decade ago now. Throw in the whole rap and trap style, and you get this abomination. Maybe spend that oil money on making an actual, decent album. I'd rather listen to babies screaming on repeat over this. Technically, it was released in 2025, but it was also released on his 2026 album.

  6. Another Drink - Marshmello & Kelsea Ballerini

I have to ask, but how is Marshmello still relevant? Last I checked, 2019 was 7 years ago. How the hell does this song even qualify as country in the first place? This song makes "Miles On It" look like a damn masterpiece! This song may appear to be a fun, laid-back summer anthem on the surface, but it's not country.

It's literally pop infused with just enough country music elements to meet the criteria, I guess. Talking about alcohol is enough, apparently. The bar has never been lower. Keep this kind of country pop slop as far away from me as possible. Marshmello's electric style doesn't work well with country music at all. It goes together as well as water and electricity.

  7. In My Truck - BRELAND

Let's look at some of the very riveting lyrics from this song, shall we?

    "Go, shawty, it's your birthday.

We gon' party like it's your birthday.

Sippin' whiskey like it's your birthday.

And you know we don't give a damn if it's your birthday."

Sound familiar? It's an interpolation from 50 Cent's song In Da Club. You're not fooling anybody here, you just swapped one or two words and called it good.

Meanwhile, the vocals sound terrible, and the rest of the lyrics are stereotypical bro country stuff. Ooh, tight jeans and alcohol, haven't heard that before! This song is pure garbage.

  8. FSU- Caldwell

I don't even want to give this dude attention because he's insignificant, but this song is really that horrible. Almost 80% of the song's lyrics are just him saying I'm gonna F*** s*** up. You can figure out what he's saying on your own time, but listener discretion is heavily advised.

This song just encapsulates the whole redneck rebel punk vibe in one song. This guy thinks he's all high and mighty because he's cussing every other word to sound edgy and tough, and mentions whiskey, so obviously it's country. This song describes that one redneck kid in every high school, you know the one who is always angry at everyone and everything and has a lifted truck, as if he's not insecure or compensating for something small, if you catch my drift. This song feels so fake and doesn't even deserve any attention at all.

  9. What You Know About That - Lee Brice

The fall-off of Lee Brice needs to be studied. He used to be good, but what is this? He's fallen a long way since "I Drive Your Truck," and that's not even mentioning his Super Bowl alternate halftime show with Kid Rock that also didn't go over well.

This song feels like it was ripped straight out of 2016 with how stereotypical it sounds. Driving down a backroad, a hot girl next to you, a creek running nearby, summer nights, Friday nights, Sunday church, and then daddy's hand-me-down truck. It manages to hit every single stereotype from a decade ago without fail. I can't help but cringe when I hear this song.

  10. Fish Hunt Golf Drink - Luke Bryan

I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest Luke Bryan fan. I like some of his songs, but he's the embodiment of "bro country" stereotypes that were popular over a decade ago and died by 2017, yet he's still stuck in that bygone era. This song is no exception.

This song feels so simplistic and lazy and just comes off as very stereotypical. I mean, it's no different than "Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset," but just a lot worse. At least that song had some semblance of structure. This one? It feels like it's AI generated. Even if it's not, it's so bad that it gives off that vibe, which is honestly impressive. This song sucks, plain and simple. This is the kind of song country music haters hear and judge the entire industry by.
