Eggman can be a complete idiot, but he can also be a complete genius. I'm counting down eggman's best plans ever. Not releasing Shadow could almost end Sonic's life even when he had the fake Chaos Emerald.

Gosh, this is one of the hardest Sonic final bosses in Sonic history! You need to wait, dodge, and RUN! You have zero rings! Sadly, this final boss got downgraded into a super easy normal boss. (Or should I say mini-boss?) It has an epic theme.
If the Death Egg Robot can kill Sonic, how will Eggface be entertained? If Eggman kills Sonic with the Death Egg Robot, he won't need his robots anymore because he built them to destroy Sonic. So, there is no point in killing Sonic in the first place!
Guess why Eggman wanted to go in the purple thing in Sonic Colors? So he could control Time Eater! Just watch the cutscene. If there was only one Sonic, no people to help him, and no Chaos Emeralds, BOOM! Dead hedgehog. Also, Robotnik was helping him in there.
Robo-egg burned an entire race of alien beings to enslave the world! Most of the other things here are just aimed at Sonic, but here he is practically destroying two different living races and enslaving five planets in the process!
He controlled Tails with it, and it was so powerful Tails thought Eggman was a good guy. Now what if Sonic got hit by it!?
There are saws, conveyor belts, and more stuff that will put holes in your hands!
Anyone else realize that this was Eggman's dream to begin with?
O.M.G. this stage is fully a maze and mostly just a trap to make Sonic cry. And get this, THERE'S A THIRD ACT TOO!
Omega was supposed to destroy Shadow, but then they became best friends. He claims he's the best Eggman robot ever! In the game, he is power type! Also, he betrayed the poor Egg. Yup, he has amazing ball speed too!
Pretty tough boss. It's very big. Play Sonic Unleashed and you will know what I mean.
There's no better plan than to destroy the moon, am I right?

Robotnik does a great job on his final zone for the first game in Sonic history. He tries to crush Sonic, and there's this thing that shoots orbs at you. The worst thing is you have NO RINGS.
Robo-egg built an evil spaceship to hold his base of operations. This is awesomely evil. He even has a giant killer robot of himself inside it! And it is very, very hard to traverse through. It took me a year to beat Sonic and Knuckles.
He held a whole planet, with life forms on it, to build an evil spaceship to destroy (or take over, I never got that straight) the world.
Hits like a spiky truck, can take insane amounts of punishment, and can outspeed Sonic. It comes with a wide array of long-range and melee attacks. Need I say more?
Eggman wasn't able to do it, but the Earth could've been destroyed.
It's the only mech Eggman keeps rebuilding with a machine gun, drill missile, ice blasters, flamethrowers, flight, nanotech, and a giant laser. Oh, and the fact it literally punched a hole into the Earth's core. This is one heck of a robot.
If it weren't a dud, Eggman would've successfully leveled Station Square, free to build Eggmanland on its ruins. (Until Chaos returned.)
