Top 10 Best Rayman Games

Rayman might not have a mouth, but the guy sure knows how to shout "legendary" through gameplay. You're here because you've dashed through dreamlike worlds, punched enough Lums out of enemies to fill a small bank, or maybe just love a good platformer that refuses to treat you like you're five. And let's be honest, in a world where most mascots wear shoes four sizes too big and speak only in marketing jargon, Rayman's floating limbs and silent swagger are a breath of fresh air.

This list is your chance to decide which of his adventures stand tallest. Is it the gritty, darker edge of Hoodlum Havoc that gets your vote? Or maybe the art-book-come-to-life feel of Legends that still makes your eyeballs happy? Each game brought something different to the table: puzzle-filled palaces, rhythm-based chaos, or bosses so weird you wonder what the devs were eating for breakfast.
The Top Ten
Rayman Legends Rayman Legends is a side-scrolling platform game that supports up to four players cooperatively. It was released in 2013 for multiple consoles including Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

A huge amount of content: several worlds with differing themes, a very large number of levels from Rayman: Origins, musical rhythm stages, challenge stages to unlock new characters, and a timed challenge stage for each of the main world stages. There are also lots of skins to unlock, daily and weekly challenges, and a small competitive local multiplayer game.

The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. The design of the levels is top-notch, with fluid and fun gameplay. There's always something new and something to look forward to in this game.

It's quick and easy to get into but pushes players to strive for the best they can do. This game really is a Legend.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape Rayman 2: The Great Escape follows Rayman as he tries to rescue his friends from robot pirates who have invaded his world. It was originally released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 and later ported to several other systems.

I literally grew up on this game and even today believe it to be maybe the best video game of all time. It didn't take itself too seriously while still keeping a heartfelt, dark tone.

Excellent level design, large variety of playstyles, a simple yet captivating plot, a handful of cool boss fights, and one of the best soundtracks ever made, with dozens of well-orchestrated, memorable tunes interchanging in every level.

As much as I am entertained by today's video games, whenever I return to Rayman 2: The Great Escape I am always pleasantly surprised by its lasting greatness and reminded of how well old games can entertain us through the limitations of the time it was made. A masterpiece.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is a 3D platformer where Rayman battles the Black Lum André and his army of Hoodlums. It was released for multiple platforms including GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC in 2003.

I love this game. I play it so many times, and it is so much fun. I never get bored with it. It's my favorite game.

I love the hidden secrets, cool powers, funny characters, cool bosses, and high scores. The epic story is funny, and the music is enjoyable. The gameplay is awesome. The snapshot feature is great, and I use it often.

The mini-games are fun to play. I especially love the Balloons mini-game and Shock Rocket. My favorite power is LockJaw, which reminds me of Spiderman. Disco Slide Boarding is awesome, and the music kicks ass.

I LOVE it.

Rayman Origins Rayman Origins is a 2D platformer that reboots the Rayman series with hand-drawn visuals and co-op gameplay. It was released in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii.

This game brought the classic Rayman back in beautiful 2D, hand-drawn graphics. This game is the winner because it was challenging, had plenty of unlockables, 4-player modes, and was an overall masterpiece in regards to gameplay and music.

I have played all the other "regular" Rayman games, and this one takes the cake.

This game rules! I love slapping my friends silly, and the music rocks!

I also really enjoy the levels where you have to chase the treasure chest and get the tooth! I've played about four Rayman games, but this one is clearly the best.

Rayman Rayman is a 2D side-scrolling platformer first released in 1995 for the Atari Jaguar and later ported to PlayStation and other platforms. It features Rayman as he sets out to rescue the Great Protoon from the evil Mr. Dark.

I received Rayman 1 as a gift when I was 5 years old, and it took me around 2 years to complete just using sheer persistence. I now look back at this game and realize there is an essence of magic about it.

The art and music were beautiful and complemented the gameplay perfectly. Compared to the other Rayman games, this one was slightly more challenging and felt rewarding to complete.

Definitely a game I could play over and over every couple of years.

Easily the best Rayman game that has been produced. I have played all the Rayman games since I was six years old. The reason this is the best game in the series (and all time!) is the challenge and difficulty.

The bosses were great, the music was great, and the levels were brilliant and diverse, not just the same like in every other game! Everything about it was great.

Definitely recommend playing this!

Rayman Raving Rabbids Rayman Raving Rabbids is a party game that introduced the Rabbids as antagonists in various mini-games. It launched in 2006 for the Wii and other platforms.

I prefer the original series over the Raving Rabbids ones, but these are okay.

It's super fun! Would recommend to anyone who likes minigames and Rayman!

This game, although not a true Rayman game, is an amazing mini-game collection, and for what it is, this game is pretty good.

Rayman Arena Rayman Arena is a multiplayer-focused title that includes racing and battle modes featuring Rayman characters. It was released in 2002 for PlayStation 2, GameCube, and PC.

I still remember this game. It was really fun to play! It was an awesome game. My brothers and I would always play it whenever we got a chance.

I loved racing in this game, even though you had to do it on foot. The characters were pretty awesome too.

Rayman M Rayman M is a multiplayer-centric spin-off featuring racing and arena-based mini-games. It was released in 2001 for PlayStation 2 and PC.

Arguably my favorite multiplayer game of all time. Nothing quite beats your friend squealing as the sticky bomb counts down to zero!

It probably wouldn't feel as awesome compared to modern multiplayer games, but it was definitely a classic!

It is not the best Rayman game ever, but it is pretty badass and way better than all the Rabbids games.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 continues the mini-game party format with a travel theme across different cities. It was released in 2007 for Wii and Nintendo DS.
Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance) Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance) is a 2D platformer that differs from its console counterpart in gameplay and design. It was released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance.

Criminally underrated 2D platformer. Well-made levels, tight controls, secrets to find, cool bosses, and the second truly original 2D Rayman game.

Fantastic and unique game with a similar style to Rayman 2, though made in 2D in a fantastic and original way.
