Saint's Row 2
Released in 2008, Saints Row 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Volition. It builds on the foundation set by the first game, offering players a vast urban environment to explore, enhanced customization options, and an engaging storyline centered on the rise of the Saints gang. The game allows for both single-player and cooperative gameplay, expanding the franchise's signature mix of humor, chaos, and crime. Get all the cheats and turn them on, and this is the best game ever. In this game, you are in a gang, so you're protected. Definitely should be #1.
The most fun to play. The customization was good, it has the three best gangs, the best storylines, and the best characters.
Best one ever, and one of the best games. Though, the name is misspelled. It's Saints Row, not Saint's Row.
Saint's Row: The Third
Saints Row: The Third, released in 2011, took the series in a more over-the-top direction, focusing heavily on humor, absurdity, and extreme action. Set in the city of Steelport, players control the leader of the Saints as they take on rival gangs and a powerful global syndicate. The game's wild narrative and exaggerated gameplay mechanics helped define its unique identity in the open-world genre. It is the most memorable game in the entire series with the most fun gameplay. As someone who played all the games, I admit it.
The best in the whole series. Saints Row 2 is great but forgettable, while Saints Row 3 is not!
Awesome game and a very good campaign compared to Grand Theft Auto.
Saints Row
Originally launched in 2006, Saints Row is the game that started the franchise, drawing comparisons to the Grand Theft Auto series for its open-world, crime-centric gameplay. Set in the fictional city of Stilwater, players take on the role of a customizable protagonist who joins the 3rd Street Saints and climbs the ranks of the gang. The game was praised for its engaging storyline, multiplayer modes, and early use of character customization in the genre. This should be number 2, not the disappointing Saints Row: The Third.
Second best. Why are The Third and IV ranked higher than this?
Should be higher than IV and The Third.
Saints Row IV
Released in 2013, Saints Row IV escalated the series' trademark absurdity by introducing superpowers and an alien invasion. Players, now in the role of the U.S. President, must fight extraterrestrial forces within a simulated version of Steelport. This entry leaned heavily into science fiction and parody, making it one of the most fantastical and comedic games in the franchise. How is this #4? In this game, you're the president. You can make your character muscular, skinny, fat, or a mix of all three. There's a weapon called the Inflato-Ray, which makes people's heads inflate and explode. And, of course, there are tons more fun weapons. This shouldn't be #4. It should be #1 or #2 at least.
Best Saints Row game.
Saints Row: Gat out of Hell
Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, a standalone expansion released in 2015, follows popular characters Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington as they descend into Hell to rescue the Boss from Satan. The game introduces a new setting - Hell itself - while retaining the superpower mechanics from Saints Row IV. The story is shorter but filled with the franchise's signature humor and over-the-top action. Although the campaign is short, this game is still alright.
Saints Row (2022)
The 2022 Saints Row reboot reimagines the series with new characters and a fresh setting in the American Southwest. Focusing on a group of friends who aim to start their own criminal empire, the game retains the open-world chaos of earlier entries while offering a more grounded take on the series' classic gameplay. This reboot aimed to modernize the franchise while staying true to its roots in mayhem and humor.
