Top 10 Best Video Games of 2004

2004 did not mess around. You got a year stuffed with games that felt bigger, sharper, louder, and way more confident than what came before. One minute you were wandering huge worlds and getting gloriously sidetracked, the next you were ducking bullets, sneaking through enemy territory, or losing sleep over "just one more mission." It was the kind of year that made your free time disappear on contact.

What made 2004 so special was how many different kinds of games were firing on all cylinders at once. Big cinematic releases were everywhere, but so were smart, quirky, inventive titles that proved style and personality could stand right beside raw technical muscle. You were not locked into one flavor of fun. You could chase chaos, strategy, story, speed, comedy, tension, or pure button-mashing bliss, sometimes all in the same weekend.
