Top 10 Cutest Animal Crossing Characters

You've got your dream island, your house is upgraded, your wardrobe's fire, and the museum's stacked. But none of it means squat without the right villagers to keep you company. The Animal Crossing universe is packed with more than 400 quirky animal characters, but only a select few can make you melt faster than a balloon gift floating by at 4:59 PM. These are the ones that make you want to spam the "Do you need anything?" dialogue just to keep the conversation going.

Some are sugar-sweet, others are smug little charmers, and a few have such ridiculously cute designs it feels like Nintendo is trying to give you cavities. We're talking about villagers that look like they were genetically engineered in a lab powered by glitter and baby laughter. It doesn't matter if they're peppy, snooty, lazy, or cranky. Cuteness ignores personality flaws. You know it when you see it.

Stitches

Possibly the cutest male character in the game. He is a teddy bear (hence the name Stitches), and he is orange, red, green, and blue. His eyes are a + or an X. He also wears the star shirt. A very colorful character. His personality is lazy.

Easily the cutest villager in the whole darn game! He resembles a patchwork teddy bear and even has x's for eyes! He has a lazy personality, meaning he's laid back, forgetful, but cuddly and lovable.

I married him as a kid in Wild World. Still waiting for him to show up in my New Leaf town!
Bluebear

I remember when she moved into my town in Wild World. Memories.

Bluebear is just so adorable. I wish she was actually real.

She's so cute! I'm so lucky to have her in my town!
Lolly

Lolly is my absolute favorite villager in the game! She's such an adorable little cinnamon roll who deserves love.

Lolly is so cute with her apostrophe eyes, and her shirt is adorable too!

Lolly is totally the cutest! I don't get why all of these people are comparing Lolly to Rosie, but all I have to say is that Lolly is awesome and cute. I would even spend $19 for her amiibo card just to have her in my town!
Pekoe

I just think she is the most adorable little bear cub I've seen in Animal Crossing! She looks a little bit like a panda, and it's so cute! I have her in my town, and she's my favorite villager.

I LOVE PEKOE! She was one of my first Animal Crossing villagers of all time, and I think she's the absolute cutest of all. I'm still hoping she'll move to my New Leaf town.

Marshal is a cute tiny squirrel who should be number one. What is he doing down here?! Stitches is some scary monster with no eyes! He can't even see your character! Think of it that way! Marshal is so cute!

Marshal deserves to be #1! Even though Pekoe is such a cutie, Marshal is just as cute! I think Marshal should at least be in the top ten! He's so adorable and he's my favorite villager!

Oh Marshal. As a child, I only played Animal Crossing. Marshal was my favorite, and I would imitate him. When my mom asked what I was doing, I would say, "Being Marshal." I need him back on New Leaf.

I love her lemon cookie, and she seems like she loves summer.

He's so cute! He is a little orange dog with the lazy personality - the best of all! He left my town but gave me his picture. He will not be forgotten.

Lucky is 100% the cutest villager! He's got this adorable little yellow eye which pokes out from his full body cast. Adorable! When he moved into my town on Wild World, I instantly fell in love with him. I hope to get him in New Leaf too!

I had him in my town and we were good friends. Until the day he moved. It was really tragic for me, and I sometimes miss him!

Lucky is creepy, but he is awesome! There is even a song named after him called K.K. Lucky!
Rosie

Rosie, I miss you so much. I never meant to delete my Wild World town. I thought it just meant I could rearrange my town. I'm sorry, but I was only 6. I cried for so long, Rosie. You don't know how much I miss you. I hope you can come to my New Leaf town and we can be united again after all these years. I miss you so much, and I love you like a best friend.
I never forgot about you and Bree. Even after those 4 years, I still remember my 2 best friends from the old days. Rosie, you and Bree were both my best friends, but I liked you a little bit more. I managed to save Bree, but I need you to come to my town so we can get the group back together. Ok? It will be just like old times, I promise, and I will never make the mistake of destroying my town ever again.

The Contenders

Goldie

Goldie is one of my top three villagers alongside Aurora and Whitney. She's so kind and caring, though try not to upset her.

I had her in one of my past villages on Wild World. I miss her. We were good friends.

Goldie has a sweet, gentle personality and such beautiful brown, dewy eyes. She's polite and kind. And she's a golden retriever!
Walker

Walker, oh Walker. The first dog villager I ever had. Why did I let you go?! I still have the last letter you ever sent me. I have planted an orange tree near where you used to live. Maybe once I get a 3DS I can work up some magic with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection and finally see you again?
Sorry for getting so emotional. He's so cute and has the perfect personality!
Twiggy

The best character ever. She or he is adorable with a funky house. She or he is really generous to me. It was really sad when she left my town. If you don't know who Twiggy is, he or she is a cute yellow bird. Can someone tell me if Twiggy is a boy or girl?

I had her in my town, then I restarted because she was the only good character. I will try to keep an open spot in my new town for that 0.1% chance that I will get her in my new town.

Twiggy reminds me of a rubber duck I used to own. Twiggy is so cute!

This is my favorite girl character! She's a pink squirrel with huge eyes and wears a pink and purple striped dress. She is one of the most popular villagers in Animal Crossing. She was my first villager when I started. She's a bit peppy and wants to be popular.

Peanut is easily the best villager who is currently in this top ten. How can you not love her?

I currently have her as my next-door neighbor in New Leaf, and we're the best of friends!

Peppy villagers are just so adorable. But out of all of them, I just have to pick Cookie. She is just the cutest dog I have ever seen. She also has a cute phrase (Arfer)! I just had to pick her!

Cookie the puppy could give Flora the ostrich a run for her money for the position of the cutest peppy villager.

She has the cutest eyes in the world! They are so big and sparkly! She is pink, and her personality is adorable!
