3 The Changeling - The Doors

I'm so possessed by this song at times. It makes me feel so hot.

The Doors are the edgiest band to exist especially with this song.

4 The Phantom Agony - Epica

The shorter version of this song is a masterpiece.

5 Chop Suey! - System of a Down

Um, this song is art. Not edge. Still a badass track for this list though - dankmaul

It tears you apart as it should.

6 American English - Idlewild

It's impossible to listen to this song and not feel the intensity. It's so sad and so real.

7 I Am... All of Me - Crush 40
8 All In the Suit That You Wear - Stone Temple Pilots

This song is GRAND! My favourite song from the Stone Temple Pilots by far.

9 Why'd Ya Do It? - Marianne Faithfull

The lyrics are certainly funny and vulgar, I can't say that I relate to it, but I absolutely feel great when I listen to Marianne Faithfull giving that kind of a performance. It may sound wicked, but it makes me smile and I get wonderfully on fire with it.

10 Numb - Linkin Park

So very edgy, this is the definition of edge.

The Newcomers

? Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine
? Deathblade - Acacia Strain

This band is the definition of being the ultimate edgelord. Cannibal Corpse are like Backstreet Boys compared to them (yeah, I said it! ). - UltimateHybridX

The Contenders

11 Maybe You're Right - Barenaked Ladies

Yeah, PositronWildhawk, 'Brian Wilson' is indeed a very characteristic song. It's so idiosyncratic. I like it too! I can't say that I'm very fond of 'Blame It On Me', but both of them, certainly, fit this list.

I agree. And "Brian Wilson" and "Blame It On Me" always get me. - PositronWildhawk

This and 'What A Good Boy' are equally intense.

12 Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl) - Green Day

Little girl, little girl why are you crying? In side you restless soul your heart is dying.
