Amazing harmonies, brilliant writing and Jesus what a front man! No respectable musician would argue against these guys being number one. Zeppelin were tremendous but queen were so much more original. Check out the album " a night at the opera ". Superbly creative and brilliantly done!

Guns N' Roses had a handful of hits but Led Zeppelin has so way more good songs than Guns N' Roses, not disrespecting Guns N' Roses or anything but Led Zeppelin are beast!

Def Leppard are an English hard rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement. They practically invented 80s style Hard Rock. Van Halen helped invent it with their Virtuoso Guitarist but they didn;t quite have the pop athemic chorus or the pop production styles mixed with traditional hard rock. A fantastic band.

I'm pretty sure Avenged Sevenfold is considered hard rock. I know this band may not be as popular as the other bands, but although they continue to make their music and influence a more current audience, this band definitely sets a mark as one of the greatest. It is also my favorite band
