Best RWBY Fight Scenes

As Volume 5 approaches, I feel we should look back and remember the amazing fight scenes that RWBY has brought us. Also, this will contain spoilers from Volumes 3 and 4. If you haven't seen them, you should stop reading this list.
The Top Ten
1 Team RWBY & JNPR vs Nevermore & Deathstalker

This is the episode that sold me on RWBY. The trailer was pretty cool, and I was starting to get into the story. But when Players & Pieces came out, I was blown away. I wanted to see more of this show, and I continued to watch it.

This fight has a sense of grand scale that none of the other RWBY fights manage to capture. It feels like an epic boss battle from a video game.

The tension and music built up this battle perfectly.

2 Ruby vs Beowolves

From the Red Trailer. I loved the beautiful music, the choreography, and the fascinating weapon. Also, not one word of dialogue was said in that trailer. I can't remember the last time I saw a trailer with no dialogue that just let the scene speak for itself.

3 Pyrrha vs Penny

Like Miles and Kerry said, this is the point when you remember how Blake said life isn't a fairy tale. This is the first scene where we actually see someone die in the show. It was brutal how Penny died, and everything sank into darkness after this.

We lost two great heroines that day.

4 Pyrrha vs Cinder

This made mine - and every RWBY fan's - jaw drop. The confrontation between Cinder and Pyrrha was building up since Volume 2. After all the bad things that happened during Volume 3, we finally got to see this fight. While the ending was shocking, I still really enjoyed it.

This was Pyrrha's last fight. It is beautiful in its own sad way. She did it because she had to - for herself this time.

This was one of the closest fights.

5 Team RWBY vs the White Fang

How can anyone not love this fight? This was the first time Team RWBY kind of failed in their own mission. Yang and Weiss both lost their fights, Oobleck revealed his weapon, and even little Zwei was shown to be much more capable than we realized. This was a great episode to watch.

6 Team RWBY vs Paladin

While it's nowhere near as good as the battle in Red vs Blue with Carolina, Tex, Maine, and York, it's still pretty good. The amazing teamwork from Team RWBY, Sun and Yang's semblances revealed, and the proper introduction of Neapolitan all made it memorable.

7 Qrow vs Tyrian

Volume 4 wasn't as good as Volume 3, but I still enjoyed a lot about it. The fight between Qrow and Tyrian was excellent. These are two very well-trained fighters going up against each other, and both kind of get screwed in the end because of the fight. But I still loved it.

This fight wins for me because of the kinetic energy in its movements. You really get the feeling that these are two fighters with vastly different styles, and they're trying to kill each other.

Super awesome. Even though I love the first fight scene in Season 1, the animators were still using Poser as the software. In contrast, the battle with Tyrian has much better quality. They are both equally great to me, but this scene is smoother - and duh, Qrow is there. Anyone else want to see Blake or Yang fight Tyrian?

8 Pyrrha vs Team CRDL

Normally, one against four would be unfair and put that one person at a heavy disadvantage. But Pyrrha shows she's one of the best fighters by taking on all four members of Team CRDL at once. She did it with style too.

9 Blake, Sun & Penny vs White Fang

This is just a jaw-dropping action scene. We see Penny fight for the first time alongside Sun. Both characters were given good introductions, and this fight helped me love those characters even more. Plus, you could tell Blake really wanted to take down Roman, but sadly, she didn't. However, she managed to make up with her team.

While many other fights surpass this in scope, this battle is the best in terms of choreography, and the stakes are personal.

GUNCHUCKS. This scene is heavily underrated and overlooked. So much greatness in this battle. Blake's part is amazingly fast-paced and well executed.

10 Yang vs Neopolitan

This should be ranked much higher. In fact, it should be No. 1! Yes, other fights are more relevant to the storyline, but this one is amazingly well-animated, and on any RWBY website, this is everybody's favorite. One of the fights ranked higher is the entire battle that this fight was a part of, but that's not its own fight.

The Contenders
11 Raven vs Cinder

Epic choreography, excellent visuals, and a touching homage to Monty Oum's "Dead Fantasy" series. Loved it!

Amazing fight! I loved seeing two of my favorite characters battle.

12 Team RWBY vs Team JNPR

Best fight scene I have ever seen. The best part? It was all food! All the fight scenes in the first few volumes were great, but this food fight was at the top of the list for me.

13 Team RNJR vs Nuckelavee

This was the beast that destroyed Ren's family and home. It left him an orphan. He wanted vengeance against the beast, but he almost ended up getting himself and his team killed. Nora had to bring him back to his senses, and Team RNJR eventually defeated that Grimm.

14 Yang vs Mercury
15 Emerald and Mercury vs Coco and Yatsuhashi

This was the first time you really see how menacing Mercury and Emerald are. Also, nice foreshadowing for Mercury in his music. Besides, Mercury is just a fun character to watch duel. It's a shame this is really their only good scene, but if it had to be just one, this was a great fight.

16 Blake & Yang vs Adam
17 Cinder vs Neo

Very awesome fight! How is it not higher?

18 Ironwood vs Watts

One of the most underrated fights in RWBY. We all saw how Ironwood used experience, sheer brute force, and intelligence to finish off Watts.

19 Velvet vs Atlesian Paladin-290s
20 Qrow vs Winter
21 Cinder vs Ozpin
22 Ruby vs Torchwick and Neo

The fight between Neo and Ruby, though extremely short, was one of the best-animated duels in RWBY. It was fast-paced and amazingly well choreographed. The added bonus of seeing how well Neo and Roman fought together also made you appreciate how much history they had.

This should've been ranked way higher. It's an awesome 2v1, but with multiple villains against the hero instead of the other way around. It also implies the true motives of Roman Torchwick, which makes him one of the best characters in the show - at least, before he dies moments later.

23 Pyrrha vs Mercury
24 Weiss vs Winter's summons
25 Yang vs Bandits
