GAMERS MUST READ . The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt review (brief)

EvilAngel The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
A game that belongs to a series I've heard little about. But I saw a vote online in which 5000 votes were cast for the best Xbox One game, and The Witcher got around 2100 of these 5000 votes ON ITS OWN. All the other games made up the rest. So I decided to check it out.
If you look on Wikipedia, you will see as I did that the game has achieved better critical acclaim than any other. The lowest score I can find anywhere is 8 out of 10, the highest being perfect scores of 10 outta 10 awarded by the game masters themselves, Gamespot, with the other leader IGN giving it a 9.8. So I decided to look into it. RPG, beautiful graphics, 150 hours of gameplay, choices that effect the whole world and 36 different ways the world can end up, limitless crafting opportunities, strong lead character and story. . . All these things reached out to me. I wasn't going to get it because I have so much to do on xbox as it is and little time to play xbox, but that would be like a car enthusiast collecting cars but not getting the best car in the world. So I bought it off Amazon for a mere 26 pounds.

Bargain. Before I even played it I felt like I'd ripped them off, that I ought to give them more money. Inside the box, SIXTEEN free dlc packs, a map, stickers for a bit of fun, and a message from CD Projekt Red the creators thanking us for our purchase and making promises: a company who truly care about the gamers then. Not like the money making machine of Activision.

But then we come to the actual game. I'll admit, I'm reviewing this game with only a tiny fraction of it done, maybe I should wait but there's so much to do I'd be waiting months. THE GRAPHICS ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ANY GAME I'VE EVER SEEN. Let's get that out there first. It's jaw dropping beautiful. Most games either opt for detail or for vivid colours, but this achieves both, and does it in massive consistency across every part of its tremendous massive Kingdom of a map. The detail on your character Geralt is insane. As well as stunning graphics, the world is truly living and breathing, there is a time system in game (your beard even grows over time), there are a limitless amount of things to do and crafting materials. And the game is actually hard. You actually have to walk away from quests as you need to be much higher level. I haven't been challenged by a game so much as this one in a long time. The whole game screams quality. Even the story is very grand and the voice acting excellent. But the main thing is the world. Though everything is amazing, the world itself is easily the best thing. It's COLOSSAL. Absolutely insanely huge. Especially Velen, which has an insane area. The game rewards you for exploration and time invested, with the majority of loot and many of the side quests being discoverable, and can be missed entirely if you don't search the map. But searching the map will feel amazing because you'll be able to admire the absolutely beauty of the graphics and the passion of the world. This isn't a game: this is a second life.

The only reason this is my second favourite game ever and not first is because Fable 2 is more pepersonal due to the character being the player themselves. But in terms of graphics and world and rpg, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the greatest game of all.
