This band in a whole has helped me through so much in the past few years. They have been such an inspiration to me and my friends. Even if I never got to see them in concert their memory 'will carry on' in my heart. I'm extremely proud of all of them and I will forever be grateful for the band who helped save my life. Thank you, for bringing the bullets, for sweet revenge, our black parade marching in the sky above, and bringing us the danger days, showing us the true lives of some very fabulous killjoys! Thank you, My Chemical Romance
I would like to thank this amazing band for helping me. I'd personally like to thank Gee. I get feels whenever I listen to this. They're such an inspiration and I love all of them to death. My Chemical Romance means so much to me, even if they've broke up. They're one of my favourite bands. And this song honestly means a lot to me. Thank you, My Chemical Romance.
This is the first single from the album The Black Parade. In an interview with MTV, lead singer Gerard Way explained that the concept of the album is "The Patient," who dies of cancer at an early age. According to Way, death comes in the form of your most powerful memory, and for "The Patient" that memory is a parade he went to with his father, which explains the album title. - A7XREVFin21
This song means so much to me. I'm so sad they broke up! :'(
Conflicting many of Green Day's more up beat, 'rebellious songs', Wake Me Up When September Ends incorporates the soft side. Listening to this song evokes a different emotion with every listener. All of which vary with life experiences, this song really pokes at our sensitive sides. Very emotional, and VERY well written.
This song is most likely the most meaningful of all Green Day songs. Just watch Billie when he plays it live - Danielsun182
Why this isn't at the top is beyond me. This is literally one of the most powerfully painful songs I have ever heard, and I'm not even into rock (I like a couple songs here and there). This song transcends most songs and just cuts so deep. Everyone can relate. Beautiful.
This song is so emotional Billie joe sings about the death of his father who died when he was 10. His father died in the month of September.
In an interview with Weekender magazine, the comment was made that on Dear Agony, a lot of the lyrics have a common theme of slipping away or being left behind but with a twist of persevering. The interviewer asked frontman Ben Burnley if this ties in with what he's been going through. The singer replied: "Absolutely, it's personal to a certain degree because I write it and it has to come from somewhere. I want it to be known I've been suffering with some debilitating things for years, and it's become such an impedance on my life now that I can't help but have it come through in the music that I write. It does affect me in some ways on a performance level and on an availability level and things like that, so I'm kind of glad that it's finally coming to be known and that I can use the album as kind of a platform to let it be known, basically just trying myself to take a bad thing and make something useful out of it." - A7XREVFin21
A very emotional song that so many people can connect to. It can make even the toughest people come to tears. - TristenLyle
I was torn between Welcome To The Black Parade and Dear Agony, so I just voted for this song... Both lyrics are just so meaningful
This is the only song that belongs on this list.
Sadly, this song makes me think of my friend. He worries me and I don't want what this song speaks of to happen. A very powerful song, and a very powerful message. Much better than the number one I must say.
This song just spoke to me!
Evokes such powerful emotions and so easy to relate to. Should be no1.
This song means so much to me. Feels like it was written just for me
This is about someone who has the tendency to do things to hurt himself physically and mentally. "You all assume I'm safe here in my room unless I try to start again" - this means he spends a lot of time in his room, where everyone thinks he can't do anything to hurt himself, but little do they know that he could at any time start hurting himself without them knowing. He regrets all the things he has done or had done to him in the past and he constantly picks himself apart for it. "I don't wanna be the one the battles always choose cause inside I realize I'm the one confused," is saying he gets a lot of problems thrown at him and he doesn't understand why this always seems to happen to him. - A7XREVFin21
Of you are looking for a song with a very deep meaning look up Hollywood undead swan songs the loss it's a sad and has deep minings
I used to listen to this even when I was in primary school (i'm now 20) and even without understanding the lyrical content completely and as emotionally as I do now, it goes to show how scarily powerful this is.
This shouldn't be all the way here at the bottom, this is by far one of the most deepest and true songs
The lyrics in this song are so powerful. The transition from the calm peaceful music into the hard rock makes this song sucks a great song - andnolan07
The lyrics are totally fictional, according to Ben Moody. They evoke a spirit, but he insists the song has nothing to do with God or religion. Moody was still in high school when he wrote the lyric. - A7XREVFin21

This song is so amazing, even if you don't know who the REV is it still leaves you with chills
Tears don't fall? Are you serious?
This is a song everyone should listen to before they die. This is the best way to end the album Mechanical Animals by Marilyn Manson because the album talked a lot about drugs and used drugs as a metaphor a lot of the time. And in the end Manson concludes with this song saying that "All the drugs in this world wont save us from ourselves". - ComaWhite21
This song is amazing and heartbreaking
Thank goodness this song is in the top 10. You people really need to listen to it. It's really deep.
I love this song so so much!
Been listening to this for a few months now, after it was introduced on Octane. It shows how no matter how much you try, a lot of people don't care and you have to be the underdog and prove them all wrong.
Great song. I love it. Perfect combo of screamo and cleans.

The song that describes what Manson had to grow up with and how it turned him into what he is now, a man or monster that people now have grown to fear. You people really should listen to this song. It really makes you think.
This song details what Manson had to grow up with and how it turned him into what he is now, a man or monster that people now have grown to fear. The chorus, "Pray unto those eyes, crawl into the dark" is about how parents are hiding their children from what is really going on out there and how they are teaching them to fear anything that is different.
The line, "Are all your infants in abortion cribs" substantiates a rumor that Marilyn Manson's mother was going to abort him and told him so. - A7XREVFin21

This song is about fighting as an outcast. As an outcast you don't have a lot to do about bullying since you are just an outcast. But outcasts are full with the best ideas. They always show respect for other because they know how it is to not be respected.

This song in just perfection! The way it tells a story is just breathtaking.
This song is so well written and beautiful. It really makes you think about what it means to be a soldier. The music video along with the powerful lyrics and expressive vocals make this song so beautiful and so meaningful. I'd definitely recommend it.
The most meaningful of their songs. Huge Rise Against Songs. Fourth best song of theirs to Savior, Injection, and The Good Left Undone. Especially in their niche, they pack so much meaning and passion in the song.
Its all metaphor about trying to find your place in person love. The diary is their life and your trying to find the truth
Just started listening to this song its pretty good!

This is a really great song
This song came out in 1997.
This song should be like in top 10 for sure, I mean this is probably the most meaning full Three Days Grace Song there is.
There is a lot of self-loathing going on in this song, as Kurt Cobain sings, "I'm so ugly" and takes the voice of a man on the brink of killing himself - dysfunctional, random, and all of that. Cobain made it clear that most of the time, he wasn't singing about himself in his songs, but was pulling from what he saw in other people. This depressive theme crept into some of the songs on their In Utero album as well, which at one point was going to be called "I Hate Myself And I Want To Die." At live shows, Cobain would sometimes put this in perspective, asking the audience, "Hey everybody, why so glum? " - A7XREVFin21
This song is about how you always should be happy. Even though you might not have a lot of friends, just be happy.
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! WHY ISN'T IT NUMBER ONE!?!?!?
A lot of you guys obviously don't know the meaning of this do you?
Connor Clapton, Eric Clapton's four year old son fell 52 stories and died. Rather than Turning back to drugs, he poured his heart into music.
This people, is meaningful modern rock music. Not shows full of screaming fans and tons of black eyeliner. Just a man pouring his heart out into a song
This song is about a guy pushing his girlfriend/wife around. She covers up the bruises with make-up. He says he loves her and she lets it go. By the end of the song the women becomes tired of him abusing her and tells him she's had enough. - A7XREVFin21
This song relates to me because my dad did it to me and my mom. it's about a guy who beats his girlfriend I believe that she has gotten enough and left and he was pissed.
Wow this is so meaningful go vote this this is the best
Great song, deep meaning..my fave forever
All these songs are rated off of personal opinion and how deeply each one touches us as individuals and also how much we feel we can relate to them. I feel like "Unforgiven" is my unofficial biographical song. Every word uttered strikes home from start to finish. "New blood joins this earth n quickly he's subdued. Thru constant pained disgrace the young boy learns their rules." Pretty self-explanatory. When we start life, our sin-count( for lack of a better word), is on zero. We adapt n therefore are 'subdued' by the world. We learn it's ways n become practitioners of sin. Yet deep down in our most hidden selves our spirit is battling our fleshly (shallow) desires and tendencies. Thus the lyrics that follow : "throughout his life of sin he's battled constantly. This fight he cannot win. A tired man they see no longer cares. The old man them prepares to die regretfully. That old man there is me." When the world beats us down and we give up hope of better days and stop caring about ...more
This song makes me think of my father, every time. Amazing song.
This song is so meaningful because it's about leading a difficult life but being remembered for the good! Brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to it.

Powerful statement on teen violence.
Jesus Of Suburbia is the main character of American Idiot. He's a kid who hates his family, friends, and home.
This song is broken down into five sections:
Part I. Jesus Of Suburbia: This is an introduction of the character and tells about his home life.
Part II. City Of The Damned: This takes place in a 7/11 parking lot where he got into a fight and first realized he hated his friends and home: "The 7/11 where I was taught, the motto was a lie, it says home is where the heart is, but everyone's heart doesn't beat the same." The lyric, "At the end of another lost highway," refers to the group of kids who hang out under the highway where once again he doesn't fit in.
Part III. I Don't Care: This is where he becomes an outcast hating everyone and everything, and also in the story this is where St. Jimmy (a character Jesus created to heal the pain of a lost girlfriend) ties in, saying he hates everything now. This is where he considers leaving home.
Part ...more - A7XREVFin21
This song is about watching someone transform into something hated that a person wants to get rid of, pretty dark in my opinion
Great song about depression and how hopeless it makes you feel. I know exactly what was going on in the singer's mind when he sang it.
