Best Progressive Metal Songs of the 2010s
Listing off some of the best progressive metal songs to be released in the 2010s. They're are definitely some real big highlights in the genre during this decade. Some of these songs are some of my favorite songs.Vote for what you think is the best progressive metal song to come out of the 2010s.

I don't want to seem to be overrating this band, but I do believe this is one of the best songs of the genre. It has everything you could want in a prog metal song. Good riffs, proggy solos, unique sounds, and a pretty cool concept.

And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope is an incredibly unique and innovative piece of music. It's one of the band's finest creations, and while they have a lot of songs that could be on this list, I'll stick with this one to be on the top.
This song made my jaw drop when I first heard it. I wasn't sure from what world this music was. Its composition and orchestration are unique.

The current top 3 (Weltseele, And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope, Visions) are probably some of my favorite songs of this decade in general. Weltseele is amazing progressive death metal song with just some of the band's greatest works. I hope they're next album will have more tracks like this one.

One of the band's most intense tracks. It's split into mainly 3 parts, the first is classic Between the Buried and Me style riffage, the second is this great Pink Floyd-ish midsection with an great build up at the end, the third is the heaviest section, with it's insane breakdown and then a chaotic solo. One of my favorite songs by this incredible band.

This one is a bit harder to classify as prog metal as it's really much of it's own. But I just had to include the best song from one of my favorite albums of 2017. This is 15 minutes total, and it's a very emotional journey. The first half is very somber and then it builds to this explosive finale.

I think this might be my favorite Gojira song of the 2010s. It opens up the L'enfant Sauvage album amazingly. It starts with the heavy gojira like riffs we love but then it turns into a pretty beautiful second half. Gojira definitely nailed what they were going for here.

Native Construct with their debut Quiet World had me pretty interested all the way through. Chromatic Aberration is probably the most memorable, simply because it's 12 minutes of just eargasmic sound overload.
I hope new music comes from these guys soon.

One of Periphery's best. The Juggernaut albums are hit or miss, but I think we can agree Omega is certainly fantastic.

Leprous have a pretty unique sound to them, although they also aren't too out of the box either. They're like a more experimental Haken in a way. Forced Entry is probably one of their best songs, although I still need to get into them more to be sure.

The finale to Emperor of Sand, which I thought was one of the band's weaker albums. However Jaguar God finishes the album pretty nicely, making it one of my favorite songs of the album.
