This blew me away. Fight Club? I knew the ending in the first 5 minutes of watching the film. I have yet to watch The Prestige, but I will soon.
In the meantime, if you have not seen The Usual Suspects, you must!
What's not to love about this movie? Kevin Spacey winning that Oscar was much deserved! His putting one over on the police and his clean getaway was classic. Very well done!
The identity of the criminal mastermind is revealed.

I rewatched this movie knowing the twist and felt like a massive idiot! How could I not tell he was dead? I can't believe I looked past the fact that no one was talking to him other than Cole.
I felt like the dumbest person on Earth, but at the same time, I was in love with how well done the story was and how it led up to the big twist! Definitely one of the best movies of all time!
What a movie! Roger Ebert himself was blindsided by the end. Even if you guess the ending, the movie is still brilliant.

I saw Fight Club for the first time in 2014 and somehow never heard about the twist. I loved every second of the movie the first time I saw it, and when the twist happened at the end, it completely blew me away. Incredible movie.
This is actually my favorite movie of all time, not just the one with the best twist ending.
It turns out that the narrator and Tyler Durden are the same person.

Honestly, it's a good movie and all, but in the end, it's just a story played backwards, and I could actually see the twist coming. I think it deserves to be on this list because of good acting and, in the end, a great story. I'm just writing this because, in my opinion, Fight Club should be higher on the list since you definitely couldn't predict its ending! No disrespect to Memento, though.
The best twist endings are the ones that provide some new insight into the character and his motivations, and this is one of those. The setup for this movie is nearly perfect, and the twist is no exception.

Saw? Seriously? Thank God, I'm not a kid who loves the stupid Saw franchise. The Prestige is already a cult film with a smart storyline and a phenomenal ending. I could easily predict The Usual Suspects' ending, but I was blown away by this one.
A mind-boggling film with great suspense and a phenomenal ending. I wish every film was like this one.

Norman Bates' mother is dead, and Norman is pretending to be her while killing people.

I love thrillers, and this was the best thriller that I have ever seen. When I started watching it, I was fully aware of what was going to happen next... It is awesome... Especially the third part.
John "Jigsaw" Kramer has been in the same room as the bathroom trap during the whole movie. The hospital worker they thought was the mastermind is merely an accomplice.
The only movie of the Saw franchise with a good plot twist, to be honest. Well, besides Saw II, but that's it.

Only #15? Seriously? Don't get me wrong. 90s twists and Hitchcock twists are fine in their own right, but this one comes from what is rightfully known as one of the greatest scenes in cinema history! The best part: Lucas had been planning it since he made A New Hope (previously just known as Star Wars).
If the ending wasn't ruined for you like it wasn't for me, you see that it changed everything. While there were some good endings in movies, none shocked the world like this one.
The definition of "suffering from success." It was such a good plot twist that literally everyone knows Darth Vader is Luke's father, and people forget that it's a plot twist.

A dark and ominous ghost story. The ending is as eerie as they come.
The Newcomers

The plot twist in question: Gollum saves the day through his own treachery.

The real villain is Rex Dangervest, who is a twisted version of Emmet from the future.

This is a good one. If you haven't seen it, watch it.

One of my favorite movies ever.

You dare use my own spells against me, Potter. Yes...I'm the Half-Blood Prince. Chills every time. Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. You were a gift to cinema.
