Sure, they didn't win the Oscar, but they were deserving nonetheless. Of course, not every nominee can be a winner and often enough the competition is very stiff. This list compiles the animated movies that deserved to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
This lost to Brave... In other words, it lost to one of Pixar's weaker movies in its catalog. Which is kind of sad, considering Disney managed to finally craft a successful and beloved computer-animated film made by Walt Disney Animation Studios themselves instead of relying on Pixar all the time for computer-animated movies.

This studio's movies are always an absolute and utter joy to watch. The story is beautiful, and the art. Oh, the art. At any time, you can pause this movie and have something picture-worthy. The nature designs and the lighthouse shots are incredible. The characters are likeablle as well.
