Top 10 Best Leonardo DiCaprio Movies
Leonardo DiCaprio is one of those rare actors whose name alone makes people want to see a film. With a career spanning over three decades, he's built an incredible filmography, featuring a wide range of roles that showcase his talent and versatility. From unforgettable dramas to mind-bending thrillers, DiCaprio has worked with some of the best directors and turned out performances that are hard to forget. But what makes his movies stand out for you? Is it his ability to dive into complex characters? The way he commands the screen, no matter the role? Maybe you're drawn to the epic storytelling in many of his films, or perhaps it's the way his movies seem to stick with you long after you've left the theater. One thing's for sure: when you're talking about the best Leonardo DiCaprio films, there are so many to choose from, each offering something unique.
DiCaprio's performance was flawless. This movie is perfect, and it isn't just because of DiCaprio's acting. His tone of voice, body language, and character portrayal were all perfect. His character is well-developed, and there's a love story between him and Marion Cotillard that rivals the one in Titanic.
The main reason I voted for this movie is not just because of DiCaprio. It is because this film is the best and most flawless movie ever. Perfect music, acting (not just DiCaprio but the other actors as well), plot, and it is so emotional, brainy, and just so amazing. I can't really describe the whole dream-within-a-dream concept and how Nolan executed it perfectly. If you haven't seen it, you really are missing out, and you really need to watch it. Go ahead, stop reading this, WATCH IT!
One of Leo's best performances, as well as the best film he's ever done, without considering his character. The deep plot, powerful performances, and perfect directing make it one of his strongest films.
His character's infiltration into the mob, perfectly capturing the anxiety and dread he feels and mastering a Boston accent, makes it one of his best performances.
I think this movie was when Leo stopped playing his role as a pretty boy and became a real elite actor (maybe after Blood Diamond). Probably his best movie, and then The Wolf of Wall Street. Inception was good, but it was more entertaining and "cool" than it was incredible acting, like The Departed.
Nothing on Earth can rival the epic spectacle and breathtaking grandeur of "Titanic," the sweeping love story that sailed into the hearts of moviegoers around the world, ultimately emerging as the most popular motion picture of all time. Leonardo DiCaprio and Oscar-nominee Kate Winslet light up the screen as Jack and Rose, the young lovers who find one another on the maiden voyage of the "unsinkable" R.M.S. Titanic.
But when the doomed luxury liner collides with an iceberg in the frigid North Atlantic, their passionate love affair becomes a thrilling race for survival. From acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron comes a tale of forbidden love and courage in the face of disaster that triumphs as a true cinematic masterpiece.
I love Inception, but I'd actually list that number two because The Wolf of Wall Street is so big. Everything you could possibly imagine is a part of this movie. Sex, drugs, money, crime, and more.
Very entertaining, very moving, and very inspiring. I literally wanted to be Jordan Belfort after I'd watched the whole movie!
I can't choose the best movie of DiCaprio because he acts so well in every movie. I choose this movie as his best because I don't think I would have liked this movie if not for DiCaprio.
I'm still figuring out why I like this movie, and Leonardo's acting seems to be the main reason.
This one is better than The Departed. It's actually a thriller. DiCaprio is mind-bending, and Tom Hanks is a true legend as always.
This one should be just below Shutter Island. I watched The Departed, but this should be on top of that. Way better than The Departed. It starts off slow, but after that, your mouth just says, Whoa, ooh, holy movie.
All emotions are felt in this movie, and that is because of Leo's exceptional acting skills. Humor, hate, acceptance, love, friendship, and betrayal. Such an amazing movie, I will never forget this.
Wonderful performance from an American actor as a South African. American actors just can't do white South Africans, and their performances are generally laughably unrealistic parodies of the South African persona and accent.
Leonardo is one of the best actors in the world. He really lives his characters.
This is one of the best movies I've ever watched. The heart-touching scenes that he brings forth with his character truly make this movie amazing and lifelike. This is a true story that really expresses the circumstances around the character Leo plays.
Django Unchained is an amazing movie. Lots of action and awesome scenes, plus an entire scene improvised by DiCaprio which involved him slicing his hand and then improvising, using his own spilt blood in the scene by wiping it on the actress Kerry Washington's face.
This movie is an amazing drama.
I can see that this isn't the best movie he's played in, but only because he wasn't throughout the whole movie. However, how many people can get hurt like he did in that epic moment with the skull and still continue despite actually bleeding? That's when you know you have a great actor.
I really cannot choose which film of DiCaprio's is the best! I believe all of his movies are awesome! I love Inception, Titanic, The Departed, Blood Diamond, The Aviator, and more, but I choose Shutter Island for only one reason. Leonardo's acting was EXCELLENT, AWESOME, GREAT!
I'm speechless at his performance! Congratulations, Mr. DiCaprio. You are one of the BEST actors out there! Thank you for making those great movies and performances!
The best of Leo's acting can be witnessed here, along with a great screenplay. This is the best mystery thriller. Imagine a better thriller than this. The ultimate storyline.
The director has done a tremendous job. Every Leo fan must watch it. I like this more than Inception. This must be in first place. It deserves to be number one.
You cannot take your eyes away from this masterpiece. You feel like you are actually there. That bear scene is already a classic! Also, DiCaprio offers us his best performance! While watching this movie, you cannot recognize DiCaprio. You see only Hugh Glass, and that is real acting. He absolutely deserves the Oscar this year, and he will win it. My favorite performance by him.
Finally, we don't need to talk about the direction, cinematography, costumes, makeup, and of course Hardy. All perfect.
This movie is haunting. Every frame of the movie is captivating. Tobey Maguire is breathtaking. Leo, as usual, does it in his own style. The climax leaves you deserted and moaning, such a sad ending.
The screenplay, the plot, and the cast are all mind-blowing. Don't miss watching this movie. It must have been in the top three.
It's one of those movies that just makes you fall in love with the characters, and I absolutely fell in love with Leonardo. I would definitely recommend watching this.
The Great Gatsby is the most amazing movie I've ever seen with Leonardo DiCaprio! I loved the plot, I loved the scene. The movie has so much passion, romance, and a lot more. Best movie ever.
The Newcomers
Definitely should be higher. One of his best performances.
Best documentary ever! A must-see!
Once I learned that he, in fact, was the one ACTING as a mentally challenged kid, I had to watch it again. Okay, maybe more than once. Fantastic Leo... this is the film in which I fell "In Love" with him.
I wanted and couldn't wait to see what he was going to do next, just because I kind of... just knew this guy is and did become something so special in the world of film and actors.
I seriously thought that this is probably the best film he did. He played his character amazingly, and I thought if he were to get an Oscar for one of his films, it should be this one!
Good story, but in The Aviator, Leo is sublime. For me, this movie is Oscar-worthy. Why? Because in life, I want to believe in a miracle. For me, this life is a fiery creation, and Leo lives perfectly in this ideal.
He is such a brilliant actor, but I cannot describe what this genius feels: love, dream, ideal, lucidity, light, universe, model of the world, master in art, majestic, unlimited fiery creations. In one word: THIS IS LIFE!
I was extremely impressed by Leo's acting in this movie. Absolutely on spot! And a great film overall, particularly Cate Blanchett as Katharine Hepburn.
Incredible movie and terrific performances by both Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, as well as all of the supporting cast. One of the better Shakespeare adaptations around, and most certainly one of the best Romeo and Juliet adaptations!
The best movie ever with Leonardo DiCaprio in it! My all-time favorite movie. He was the perfect actor for this role, and I really thought he embraced his character, Romeo, very well.
Everything about this movie was amazing, and it's in my top 5 of all-time favorite movies.
Good book, good film. And he looks hot as hell. And it's a Danny Boyle film, so it deserves to be up there too. Great Moby song as the soundtrack, and the element of truth that we do go abroad and wind up doing the same.
This movie made me really happy. I don't know why, but it was really good. Just watch it, you have to!
I agree, we always do the same thing and bring the comforts of home with us. The soundtrack is beautiful and reminds me of memories from summertime. I hope I find my paradise!
His performance in this film is quite something. His portrayal of being bullied by his stepfather (Robert De Niro) is utterly convincing. It makes me cry throughout because you can feel the sheer frustration in him that can only come from being a truly great actor.
Convincing acting as always by Leo, but this movie depressed me. The Basketball Diaries was not great but was significantly better than this.
Should be top 10! Great movie! Great acting! I think this has got to be the best acting I've seen from Leo and, despite being so early in his career!
One of Leonardo DiCaprio's most underrated movies. Excellent film, though, and both Leo and Kate's acting just blew me away!
Such an underrated movie, but for me, it is one of his best with an Oscar-worthy performance. Also, Kate was perfect.
They are both amazing actors, and this was a great film!
One of his best performances. Definitely deserves to be in the top 5.
It was a dream, not a nightmare, a beautiful dream I could never imagine in a thousand nods. There was a girl next to me who wasn't beautiful until she smiled, and I felt that smile come at me in heat waves, following, soaking through my body and out my fingertips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.
You can see more of Leo's best performances.
One of the finest performances by DiCaprio. Brilliant plot and great execution.
While I don't think this is his best film, I found it very interesting and recommend it.
Definitely need to watch this, no matter what kind of genre you like. Best movie ever!
