DiCaprio's performance was flawless. This is the perfect movie, and it isn't just because of DiCaprio's acting, although his tone of voice was perfect, as were his body language, and character. His character is well developed, and there is a love story between him and Marion Cotilard that rivals the one of titanic. But the main reason I voted for this is not just because of dicaprio, it is because this is the best and most flawless movie ever. Perfect music, acting (not just dicaprio but the other actors as well), plot, and it is so emotional, brainy, and just so amazing and can't really describe the whole dream-within-a-dream concept and how Nolan excecuted it perfectly, so if you haven't seen it you really are missing out, and you really need to watch it. Go ahead, stop reading this, WATCH IT!

The movie was a great brain exercise. Nolan direction was outstanding, Zimmer's soundtrack made it more emotional and Dicaprio's excellent performance made the movie even better. This is Dicaprio's best on screen performance ever!

One of Leo's best performances, as well as the best film he's ever done without considering his character. The deep plot, powerful performances, and perfect directing make it his strongest films- his character's infiltration into the mob, perfectly capturing the anxiety and dread he fills and mastering a Boston accent makes it one of his best performances.

I think this movie was when Leo stopped playing his role as a pretty boy, and became a real elite actor(maybe after blood diamond). Probably his best movie, and then the wolf of Wall Street. Inception was good, but it was more of a entertaining, and "cool" then it was incredible acting, like The Departed.

Amazing story, plot and characters! James Cameron did and outstanding job for this film. This movie shows that humanity can be cruel and don't live on expectations. After all the Titanic was sinkable. Leo and Kate should've both won an Oscar for this film. I will always remember Titanic because at the end of it, the film had me crying an ocean of tears. Everything really fit in, especially Celine Dion's song 'My Heart will go on.' We all know that "We'll never let go..."

I love Inception but I'd actually list that number two because The Wolf Of Wall Street is so big. Everything you could possibly imagine is a part of this movie. Sex, drugs, money, crime and more. Very entertaining, very moving, and very inspiring. I literally wanted to be Jordan Belfort after I'd watched the whole movie!

I can't choose the best movie of DiCaprio because he acts so well in every movie. I choose this movie as his best because I don't think I would have liked this movie if not for DiCaprio. I'm still figuring out why I like this movie, and Leonardo's acting seems to be the main reason.

Who would forget about the most entertaining movie Leo did. He got this one hard time because every second the spotlight is on him. I call this as a one man show, and Leo probably did well at handling this kind of responsibility.

This one is better than Departed. This a thriller actually. DiCaprio mind bending, Tom hanks is a true legend as always. This one should be just below Shutter Island. I watched Departed but this should be on top of that. Way better than departed. Starts off slow, after that your mouth just says Whoa, ooh, holy movie

All emotions are felt in this movie, and that is because of leo's exceptional acting skills. Humor, hate, acceptance, love, friendship and betrayal. Such an amazing movie, I will never forget this

Easily one of the best DiCaprio roles and movies. One of the reasons was nothing could hold him down, examples are he could almost be whatever he wanted to, he could fool the FBI, and date whoever he wanted to.

Wonderful performance from an American actor of a South African. Americans actors just can't do white South Africans and their performances are generally laughably unrealistic parodies of the South African persona and accent. Leonardo is one of the best actors in the world. He really lives his characters.

This is one of the best movies I've ever watched. The heart touching scenes that he brings forth with his character just truly makes this movie amazing, and life like. This is a true story that really expresses the circumstances around the character Leo plays.

Django Unchained is an amazing movie. lots of action and awesome scenes plus an entire scene improvised by Dicaprio which involved him slicing his hand and then improvising uses his own spilt blood into the scene by wiping it on the actress Kerry Washington's face with his own blood out of his very hand. This movie is an amazing Drama

I can see that this isn't the best movies he's played in, but only because he wasn't throughout the whole movie.
However, how many people can get hurt like he did in that epic moment with the skull and still continue despite ACTUALLY BLEEDING. that's when you KNOW you have a GREAT actor.

I really cannot choose what film of dicaprio is the best! All of his movies I believe that are awesome! I love inception, titanic, the departed, the blood diamond, the aviator and more but I choose the shutter island for only one reason. Leonardo's acting was EXCELLENT, AWESOME, GREAT! I'm speechless of his performance! Congratulations Mr. Dicaprio... You are one of the BEST actors out there! Thank you of making that great movies and performances!

The best of Leo's acting can be witnessed here, great screenplay. This is the best mystery thriller. You imagine a better thriller than this. Ultimate storyline, director has done a tremendous job. Every Leo fan must watch it. I like this more than inception. This must be in the first place. This deserves to be number 1

What to say about that movie? All perfect! The story, acting, direction, music, atmoshpere... The best perfomance of dicaprio. I cannot say that shutter island is the best movie of him because there and other diamonds... Inception, titanic, the departed, blood diamond, django unchained... But in that movie he gave his best perfomance... What an acting!

You cannot take your eyes away from this masterpiece. You feel like you are actually there... That bear scene is already a classic scene! Also Dicaprio offers us his best performance! While you are watching this movie you cannot recognise Dicaprio, you see only Hugh Glass and that is real acting. He absolutely deserves the oscar this year and he will win it. My favorite performance by him. Finally we don't need to talk about the direction, cinematography, costumes,make-up and of course Hardy, all perfect.

The one defining reason that this movie should be in the top 3, is because he finally after all the excellent performances he finally got the oscar. Not saying this is one of his best movies would just be ridiculous

Once I learned that he in fact, was the one ACTING as a mentally challenged kid, I had to watch it again & ok, again. Fantastic Leo...this is the flim in which I fell "In Love" with him. I wanted and couldn't wait to see what he was going to do next, just because I kinda of...just knew this guy is & did become something so special in the world of film & actors

Seriously thought that this is probably the best film he did, he played his character amazingly and I thought if he were to get an oscar for one of his films it should be this one!

His performance in this movie was astonishing, people really thought he was an autistic actor. He overshadowed Depp in one of his first, if not debut movie.

Good story, but in The Aviator Leo is sublime. For me in this movie is for Oscar. Why? Because in life I want believe a miracole, for me this life is fire creation and Leo live perfect this ideal. He us such a brilliant actor, but I cannot describe what this genius feel:love, dream, ideal, lucidity, light, universe, model of word, master in art, majestic, unlimited fire creations, one word: THIS IS LIFE!

I love all of leonardo dicaprio's movies but his performance in William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet just blew me away. This phenomenon is a touching, heart wrenching movie Which had me fixated from the get go. I definitely recommend it.

I agree, we always do the same thing and bring the comforts of home with us. The soundtrack is beautiful and reminds me of memories from summer time. I hope I find my paradise! :-)

His performance in this film is quite something. His portrayal of bullied by his stepfather (Robert De Niro) is utterly convincing. It makes me cry throughout because you can feel the sheer frustration in him that can only come from being a truly great actor.

Convincing acting as always by Leo but this movie depressed the hell out of me. The Basketball Diaries was not great, but was significantly better than this.

It was a dream, not a nightmare, a beautiful dream I could never imagine in a thousand nods. There was a girl next to me who wasn't beautiful until she smiled and I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following, soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color and I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.
