Worst Comic Book Movies

Comic book movies have the potential to be great, but these seem only to exist to pass off as money-makers and big news, rather than entertainment.

  2. Dragonball: Evolution

    They completely ignored the pure gold source material and gave all of us fans a huge pile of crap instead. What's with the eclipse? Everyone knows Goku transforms when he looks at a full moon, and because of this, he accidentally killed Grandpa Gohan years prior as an Oozaru, but he has no memory of what he did. Also, he was 11 when he met Bulma, 15 when he fought King Piccolo, and he never went to school.

    It's not technically based on a comic book, but it's still pretty dang bad. Justin Chatwin's acting jumps from acceptable to horrible at random points. I have no issue with Goku being a white guy, but Chatwin doesn't even resemble him! I know they went for something new and different, hence the name Evolution, but these changes didn't work at all.

  3. Batman & Robin

    Awful movie, one of the worst of all time. But what is The Dark Knight doing on this list? Are you insane? This and Watchmen should be on the greatest. Also, Iron Man 2 (it sucks) and Son of the Mask are way too low.

    The film that nearly destroyed an entire genre.

  4. Catwoman

    Utterly atrocious. Terrible writing, story, and characters, and completely daft all around. One of the worst movies of 2004, which was already a terrible year for film in general. At least Batman & Robin was so bad it's good, but this? It's so bad it's just bad, and it killed a few careers in the process.

  5. Howard the Duck

    We get it, Howard, you're a duck - you don't have to keep repeating it. This film is a vile bag of garbage that makes Uwe Boll's films (with the exception of his only good one, Rampage) look like the Hunger Games film adaptations, Harry Potter, and The Mortal Instruments adaptations. Nice try, George Lucas, but this film is Howard the Duck. Stick to Star Wars and Indiana Jones, which are all way better. Watch those instead of this big pile of dung.

    This is probably the worst movie I will ever see. A nightmare.

    Every adaptation of the Hulk has nothing to do with the comic book.

    It has Shaq as its main star. Yes, Shaq, the basketball star who starred in Kazaam. Can it get worse? It's just awful.
