Top 10 Best Albums of 1991
1991 was a year in which grunge broke into the mainstream, hip-hop solidified its place as a cultural force, and rock continued to evolve in exciting new directions. It was a time when the boundaries of music seemed to expand, giving rise to albums that still hold a special place in people's hearts today. It was the year Nirvana brought alternative rock crashing into the spotlight with Nevermind, and bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden introduced the raw, emotional intensity of Seattle's music scene to the world. At the same time, hip-hop was thriving, with acts like A Tribe Called Quest and Ice-T pushing the genre forward, proving it was more than just a passing trend. On the pop side, iconic artists were at their peak, releasing music that still gets airplay and stirs up nostalgia decades later.
Albums released in 1991 didn't just reflect the times - they often challenged them. Many records tackled pressing social issues, experimented with new sounds, or reinvigorated old ones. It was a year of bold moves and big risks, with artists daring to push creative limits and often reaping the rewards.
By far the best. It's not an opinion if it's the best. It sold more and sounds better than any album ever. Therefore, it's the best album of 1991.
Freddie Mercury's last stand. All of you people should be ashamed. Nevermind is absolutely overrated in terms of musical quality, and come on, Dangerous isn't even MJ's second-greatest work.
Freddie Mercury put all he had left into this album. This was his last mark on the world.
The Show Must Go On is on this album. Therefore, it's superior to everything on this list. It also has These Are The Days Of Our Lives, and it was the last actual Queen album.
Sure, there are incredible songs like Innuendo and The Show Must Go On, but there are also songs like I Can't Live With You and Bijou, which are just as fantastic.
Michael Jackson's best album to date, extremely underrated, but it is a solid gold album.
Give in to Me, Who Is It, Dangerous, or wait, every track from track number 6.

Heal the World
Will You Be There
Written, composed, and produced by Michael Jackson.
This album is the most innovative, original, and great of the whole decade. Please listen to Only Shallow, Come in Alone, or I Only Said, and it will become your favorite album. Sorry for the bad English.
This is not the original artwork of this album, but it's artwork for the compilation Use Your Illusion. The name of this album is Use Your Illusion I, not 1.
How is this 8? It's the best album of all time, certainly the best of its year.
No boring songs, lots of variation (both for real and in general), memorable lyrics and instrumentation. It is actually from Mother's Milk that we get this masterpiece. So famous, yet so underrated!
The Power Of Equality, If You Have To Ask, Breaking The Girl, Funky Monks, and so on.
This and Nevermind were released on the same day. Best albums of 1991.
BSSM is so funky and amazing. It is my favorite album of all time.
The Newcomers
So many great songs: Rush Rush, Vibeology, Blowing Kisses in the Wind, The Promise of a New Day. Paula should have been a much bigger star in the '90s.
