Top 10 Best Female Singers in Concert

The Top Ten
1 Sarah Brightman Sarah Brightman is an English classical crossover soprano, actress, musician, songwriter, conductor, and dancer.

I used to laugh at stories of 19th century concert-goers who had to "take to the bed" because they were so overwrought. I no longer laugh -- not since one November night in 2004 when I was electrified by the beauty and magic of Sarah Brightman and her art. Her concerts are an initiation into an enchanted realm of beauty and wonder.

1 in a billion voice. Unlike the so called divas like spears and the others who gyrate around on the stage like demented monkeys to hide their so so voices, this woman can sing. Pop, opera, classical, folk, and all in the same song! If you've never heard her, treat yorself and look her up on youtube.

I heard this voice from no more than 15 feet away without a microphone. This voice is unmatched in perhaps, recorded history, as Ms Brightman was able to hit full operatic notes, and tones, and immediately come down to sing in a pop necessary breathy tone. A very unique talent.

Her concerts are full of effects unlike I have ever seen! Her choice of costumes, songs, and such all reflect the overall theme of her tours and you cannot do anything but stare and have your jaw drop to the floor in awe and amazement!

2 Jackie Evancho Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho is an American classical crossover singer who gained wide recognition at an early age. Since 2009, she has issued an EP and eight albums, including a platinum and gold album, and three Billboard 200 top 10 debuts. Evancho's latest album 'The Debut', was her eighth consecutive ...read more.

She sings wonderfully, purely, genteelly, with full emotion in her live performances. Her concerts at PBS Great Performances - Dream With Me In Concert and Music of the Movies - are unforgettable and had many listeners, The DWMIC raised record amounts of money for PBS stations. Not only common visitors are moved, her angelic voice brings feeling to been around soldiers. I wish her she preserves the great gift to her. But she amazingly and purely showed to us, she wish seriously to be a huge star of the classical crossover music and she already is the real star.

What is the Jackie Effect? Many of us on her Facebook fan groups talk about it. We agree that when we hear her sing, we get choked up in the throat, usually teary-eyed, frequently are so mesmerized that we forget to breathe--especially when she holds a note for practically impossible lengths of time. When she is finished, we tend to involuntarily shake our heads in utter disbelief at what we just experienced. THAT is the Jackie Effect. I've been listening to, and watching, concert singers since the 1950's. Her concerts have had a greater effect on me than all other performers combined. No bull. Just a simple fact.

I'm 74 years old; heard all the great pop soloists and groups in the 50s, 60s when singers were actually supposed to be able to, oh...maybe SING.
In my humble opinion, there has never been a voice, let alone the entire package, to compare to Jackie Evancho. I was fortunate enough to see her live in Tyler, TX the day after her inauguration performance. It's the most incredible experience of my life. This TINY person walks out (no, she doesn't walk, she STRIDES) onto the stage, and she owns the room. No matter how big, no matter how many, you belong to her, and you will for the rest of your life.
As I sit here, I still get goosebumps when I remember the incredible vocal POWER that tiny body creates.
Being a former football/wrestling/track and field coach, part of my wonder is the same as when I would be witness to a great athletic performance. Remember Nadia's first 10, Secretariat's Triple Crown, Jim Brown deciding if he wanted to run around or over. Remember the greatest ...more

To be honest, if you go to a concert with the expectation of light shows, pyrotechnics, dancers, and a synthesized, autotuned enhanced singer to add to the overall background entertainment, Jackie Evancho is not for you. Jackie's gift to her audience is her pure, uncompromised, natural voice.

People travel from all over the world just to experience the achingly few concerts Jackie decides to perform for her enraptured audience. There is a deserved reverence in the atmosphere during her performances you will never find or experience anywhere else. You will never experience a voice like Jackie Evancho.

3 Ann Wilson Ann Dustin Wilson (born June 19, 1950) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the hard rock band Heart. Ann is in the Rock Hall of Fame with Heart, and is listed as one of the best metal singers of all time by Hit Parader. She is widely viewed as one of, if not the greatest female hard rock singer of all time.

I agree with all of the comments made about Ann Wilson. I've watched many of her live performances and they never cease to instill great emotion. She has a simplistic concert setting because it is her voice people go to experience.

During the 70s Heart was one of the top bands on the planet and their lead singer was Ann Wilson. No one on this list comes close to giving the live performance that Heart/ Ann Wilson gave during that period.

The most amazing female rocker vocals... Ann Wilson has been my favorite musician for a long time. I saw her and her sister Nancey in concert on their baby le strange tour! That's when I decided I wanted to sing play guitar and be a rocker

Ann Wilson just keeps getting better and better every year! I saw her in July and she just blew my mind! In my opinion there is no better singer than Ann.

4 Shakira Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is a Colombian-Spanish singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, choreographer, and model.

The best female artist ever in my opinion, helping 500,000 kids worldwide going from Spanish to English and even singing for the President! Nothing screams success like buying your own private Island. Shakira donated 45 Million dollars to rebuild a destroyed school in Haiti.

She's so down to earth and raw and talented. Her voice is even better live than any other artist I've ever seen perform. She doesn't just take the spotlight she shares it with her band and her dancers.

Watch her live in Paris and Singapore F1, the complete performer... she must be top ten. You get belly dance, samba, flamengo, songs in French, Spanish, English, guitar, harmonica... men cry watching her on stage.. the ultimate pocket dynamite.

Best stage performer ever! She should be in the first position...

Saw for the first time on HBO, overseas world tour... danced and sang for 90 minutes, only briefly stopping to change outfits. I will always give her her just props and prayers to her! That Concert on HBO was back in the 90's.

Yes her concerts are spectacular events however it would help if she could actually sing! Madonna is all smoke and mirrors.

Sure, this Lady is the best in concert for many years. Every Madonna's show is fantastic! Amazing Woman...

She released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.

Whitney had the most powerful female voice I ever heard. But more then once, I have read or heard about her somewhat cavalier approach to live performance.

Whitney never EVER sings a song the same way twice. She is 10 billions times better live than in the studio where she is perfect anyway.

Best thing that happened to the music industry. Her live performances often eclipses her studio versions

The Contenders

She can sing her face off, in multiple genres!

12 Pink Alecia Beth Moore known professionally as P!NK, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress.

Why? I have never seen any other live act with as much to offer as Pink. I mean the girl gets stud in cages and flys around the audience. She can even sing upside down. I mean who other person. Can do that? Certainly not Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and many more above her! I just think this is ridiculous to be honest.

Never has any other performers achieved what pink does in live concerts from costumes to acrobatics and most of all vocals, pinks vocals are always on point and in my opinion even better live, she actually sounds like on record just stretches her notes out and rocks it. Pink brings it every time

She should seriously be number 1, I have been to her concert and it is like nothing you will ever see. She sings perfect while hanging upside down soaking wet spinning around. Pure perfection.

Pink is so good at live! She should be at least in top 20! I don't understand why artists such as Christina or Pink are lower than Britney Spears. At least THEY SING LIVE and have great voice!

Dance hard, Sing Harder... She is one of the female artist with best live vocal performance. You can check her Superbowl halftime show, FYI. Went to see her concert, The Born This Way Ball once and she sounds not like the studio but far better and fascinating. The way she uses her art to entertain the audience is really amazing like you suddenly fall into her world without knowing from start till the end of the show. Being in music industry for a decade but she's already a legend. From winning VMAs to an Oscars, that's not normal. Her winning speech at Oscars is really moving me and I cry every time I watch because it really touches me so hard... #PawsUp

Lady gaga is one of the very few artists out there who don't lip sync. She has an amazing beautiful voice that gives you a certain feeling. Plus when you go to her concerts she makes you feel free from yourself and free from all of your weaknesses. You also get to see her amazing performances and crazy outfits. Love you gaga. Paws up!

Her shows feel like catharsis. Everyone in the audience feels that mighty inspiring vibe of hers, when she sings and talks to her fans. It's almost a divine experience, I dare say; though I'm not some crazy fan of hers at all. And yes, she NEVER lip syncs.

Her songs are amazing live! I mean, unlike other artists, she preformed at the halftime show with by her self without any other artists! Not only does she sing, she plays the piano and dances great! Her concerts are amazing!

To everyone who says that Katy can't sing live she is perfectly fine live. Yes, during teenage dream and one of the boys she wasn't that good (besides ballads) live. That's because she didn't have enough experience yet. She honestly has a fantastic voice live, and she gets so much flack for making mistakes.

Best female singer in concert and Katy Perry do not belong in the same sentence. She is awful live. Like a lot of modern day singers and I use the term loosely she surrounds herself with dancers who distract the audience from the fact she cannot sing.

The Prismatic World Tour! Flying around the arena with balloons, giant inflatable emojis, singing in key, the costume changes, firework! It was all amazing

I loved her Prismatic World Tour. She was so colorful!

She is the best female singer in concert and should be the first.

People like Madonna, Britney Spears, Shakira, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Hayley Williams do not belong in this list, because this is about the best female singers in Concert and not the worst.

21 Celine Dion Céline Marie Claudette Dion is a Canadian singer and businesswoman. She is best known for her song "My Heart Will Go On", which is the main theme of the 1997 film Titanic, which was the first film to gross $1 billion at the box office.

Celine Dion's Taking Chances Tour is the second highest earning tour by a solo artist of all time behind Madonna and the tenth in all. And you people place her 36th. Please, pay some more respect to this fine lady. She is a nice person and a nice singer. But is never cited on any top compilation lists. I just wonder why? Whoever agrees with me. Please vote for her. Cause she rarely appears in the Top Ten good lists and can be found in the list of overrated singers. Fix your brain, people. Pleasee.

I was at the taking chances tour in 2007 and I still think about that day and just get chills. We where there since the morning early and we even had a glimpse of her warm up, this was the most memorable moment of my entire life. Everyone just ran to get in and was so excited to see her and hear her. Her voice literally soared through the night air and we were stand, rocking and dancing the whole night, it was such an unexpected show. Definitely made a mark. I love her xxx

Oh my word! Celine is such an entertainer! I went to her Taking Chances concert and we were up on our feet throughout the entire concert! She is an incredible singer, she's just beautiful, we had so much fun. Love you Celine

24 Shirley Bassey Dame Shirley Veronica Bassey is a Welsh singer whose career began in the mid-1950s, best known both for her powerful voice and for recording the theme songs to the James Bond films Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, and Moonraker.

Few artists, past or present, are able to just walk up to the microphone, start to sing, and then you hear the 'oohs and awes' from the crowd. Bassey's body, arm, and hand movements are at one with her powerful voice and after all these years, she is still able to mesmerize the audience.

This woman is the greatest performer I've seen in concerts. She's so energetic and electrifying. The best! Lady Gaga copies Gwen.

This woman in amazing in concert, a bit weird but still amazing! Lady Gaga stole many ideas from Gwen!

Thre best performer of history! Always sings live and her concerts are the best! She should win this
