Top 10 Best Staind Songs

The Top Ten
  1. It's Been Awhile

It's been a while since there has been a song like this in the industry. The vocals take me to a different world. It suits me irrespective of my mood. Great, awesome.

There is a kind of weird numbness in this song.

It's Been Awhile and For You are my favorite Staind songs by far. Trying to choose between them is kind of hard for me.

    A song I consider a masterpiece, for which I feel a lot of self-recognition.

  2. So Far Away

So Far Away is not only Staind's best song, but it may very well be a top 10 song of the decade. Though it features a very simple chord progression, the greatness of the song lies in the power of the drums, the beautiful guitar riff in the verse, and the inconceivably perfect vocal performance.

The vocal performance is as close to perfect as I've ever heard from any hard rock band. This is not only my favorite Staind song but my favorite song across all genres and bands.

This song is an absolute masterpiece.

  3. Outside

Why the hell is this not #1 yet? This song needs to be #1 right now. Almost everyone can connect to it. It has a greater meaning to it than the songs in the mainstream today, and it's just beautiful.

Best song for sure. It is the song that gets their fans going at concerts. Probably one of the most emotionally attached songs for the band.

This has to be their greatest song. It relates to a lot of relationships, and the rhythm is simply amazing but impactful as well.

  4. Mudshovel

This is by far their best song. The first album was astounding and, in my opinion, the best. I didn't like when they got softer. When I saw them in concert performing this, the lead singer just walked out into the thrashing mosh pit and sang this entire song with his eyes closed. No one touched him, but the pit still raged hard.

I was really surprised that this wasn't in the top 3. Maybe it is too heavy of a song for most people, or at least for the ones voting on this list. Either way, I love this song, and if you've listened to other Staind songs and liked them, then this should be at the top of your list as well.

  5. Right Here

Great lyrics and great song! Every time I hear this song, my eyes close automatically, and I am transformed to a different world. Cheers!

This song is absolutely perfect! The lyrics and the chorus just send chills when you hear it!

Beautiful song. Makes me cry. Beautiful lyrics, instrumental, and his voice is always great.

Great list, but this should be a little bit higher.

  6. Fade

Not sure why this wasn't on their greatest hits album. It was one of their best-charting songs and the most requested from that album.

This is my favorite song by them! How is this not number one?

This is the first song that I heard of Staind.

  7. For You

For You was the first song I heard from my dad. I liked it, and he told me the band's name. Ever since then, I've loved this band.

Come on, this should be on top! All the other songs are amazing, but this one gives me chills every time I hear it.

This song sounds like Nirvana. Enough said.

  8. Everything Changes

This song MUST be in the top three. It is just perfect.

It expresses perfectly the guilt, the loneliness, and the feeling of wasted time that you can't recover with the person you love.

I can really relate to this song. I first sang it to my girlfriend on our 5th anniversary and learned it on guitar in two days.

The relationship didn't last, but I'll never forget what it did for me.

To be honest, this is one of the only two songs in the entire world that make me break down every time I hear it. It should be number 5 instead of "Right Here."

    "Everything Changes" should be #5.

  9. Eyes Wide Open

How is this not higher on the list? This is definitely the best song by them. It's so brutal. I love the screaming and the sounds of the guitar.

    It's also quite catchy too!

Just an awesome song. Love the guitar and pickups.

Should be in the top five. What? Bacon? This song is just gorgeous and aggressive.

  10. Zoe Jane

This is definitely their most meaningful song. Lots of them are meaningful, but this one... This one gets me every time.

Somehow Aaron put into words the unconditional love I have for my daughters! It will always be our song. Thanks, Aaron!

This song just takes me away to that place where I am supposed to be. Loved and lost.

  11. The Newcomers

    Warm Safe Place

  13. ?

    Better Days

  14. The Contenders
  15. Believe

Love this song! I find myself singing it throughout the day!

Fantastic song! This is in my top three.

  16. Home

This song should be much higher on the list.

This song makes me very emotional, and when I sing it, I want to break out into tears. It is beautiful, and I love everything about it. Please vote.

"Because I'm afraid to come back home, afraid you'll leave me when I'm gone... I'm afraid to come back home... Home!"

Are you kidding me? This should definitely be at least in the top ten.

I agree. I don't know how this is not in the top ten at least.

  17. Come Again

This song is great and is the only song from Tormented to appear on their Singles 1996-2006 album.

These guys totally sold out, but they didn't with this masterpiece. Tormented was such a great album.

  18. Epiphany

This is really an amazing song. It gets you in the right spot for the feelings it gives off.

This song and Outside are in the same league. This needs to be in the top five at least!

Every true Staind fan loves this song. It deserves to be in the top three.

  19. Spleen

This is the epitome of what Staind was supposed to be: a heavy metal band with some melodic elements. Spectacular closing track for Staind's best album.

The heaviest song Staind ever produced. Deserves to be way higher, honestly.

The raw emotion of it is something special to hear.

This song is one of my favorites from Dysfunction, along with Mudshovel.

  20. Something to Remind You

Depending on where you're at in your life, this song will speak to you differently, but no matter the case, it will move you. Aaron Lewis' voice touches me when I listen to this, and for me, this would clearly be my number 1.

I feel it might be this far down the list because it is lesser-known.

Never heard this one on the radio, but man, it should have been! Just heard it for the first time on YouTube. Just awesome. Heavy, deep, and meaningful.

Gotta agree with the other commenters. Should be in the top somewhere. Would think this one must be a goth favorite.

  21. Open Your Eyes

Such an underrated song. It has an awesomely heavy nu-metal main riff that's impossible not to get down to, a super catchy melodic chorus with great vocal lines, and a classic hard rock chorus that's bound to get stuck in your head. Amazing opener and one of their best.

    WAY too far down.

First song I heard when I bought Break the Cycle. Amazing song, just perfect. My personal favorite.

How is this at the bottom? Amazing song.

  22. All I Want

This song is just awesome. I can't see how it's not in the top ten. The melody is catchy, and it gets stuck in my head for days.

  23. Price to Play

Awesome music video. This song kicks off the 14 Shades of Grey album in the best possible way.

It's one of the heavier ones, but that's why it's so good. For You should be next.

Staind's best song, in my opinion. Just give it a listen, and you'll most likely see why.

This song is awesome. It should come after It's Been Awhile, So Far Away, Right Here, Mudshovel, and Outside.

  24. Now

Great guitar playing! I think it's one of the best songs on the new album. Can't wait for the next one.

  25. Suffer

Definitely one of my favorite songs by them of all time.

  26. Just Go

  27. Can't Believe

I can't believe this heavy masterpiece isn't in the top ten. Possibly their heaviest in their entire discography.

Staind is known for their grungy-like melodies, but this song is an aggressive masterpiece. First time I heard Aaron Lewis scream like that.

True Staind fans should know... Great song with a deep meaning!

  28. Not Again

Not Again should be much higher. It's by far the most aggressive Staind song I have heard and shows how great of a comeback they can make.

And thank God, because music is starting to suck.

The best rock song ever! I would love to see it live. If it was done exactly like the recording, I would challenge Aaron to sing it as aggressively live as it sounds from the CD.

I never get tired of this song.

It's the best song from this great rock band for me. I hear this song several times every day. Big song.

  29. The Way I Am

Disappointing that it's not at least in the top five. This is definitely one of my favorite songs!
