Top 10 Eminem Studio Albums with the Most Recognizable Songs

Which iconic album from Eminem's 25-year solo career contains the most globally recognized songs and hits?

The Curtain Call compilation albums obviously don't count, because that's cheating.

The Top Ten
  1. The Eminem Show

Without a doubt, this is the biggest hits album. It contains four of his biggest ever hits that (almost) everybody has heard at some point: Sing for the Moment, Without Me, Cleanin' Out My Closet, and Till I Collapse.

Superman is probably the next biggest song, which is also quite well-known.

  2. Recovery

Recovery (2010) was the follow-up to Em's controversial and unorthodox album Relapse (2009). It was clear that Em and his producers decided to make an album of pop-style hits and songs purposely made for radio.

The album included arguably his biggest ever love song, Love The Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna), the hugely successful Not Afraid, and other big songs such as Cinderella Man, W.T.P., No Love (feat. Lil Wayne), and Won't Back Down (feat. P!NK).

  3. The Marshall Mathers LP)

Em's biggest ever album featured two of his six biggest songs. The first on the album is the highly praised "Stan (feat. Dido)," which is regarded as one of the most well-written concept storytelling songs in rap. It also contained the hugely successful, quotable, party and radio hit "The Real Slim Shady."

The average quality of songs on the album is quite high, so there are easily many other tracks that have made a name for themselves, such as "Kill You," "Criminal," "The Way I Am," "I'm Back," "Who Knew?," and "Drug Ballad."

  4. The Slim Shady LP

The first album of Em's big three run had some of the most classic and iconic dirty and silly tracks, as well as some heartfelt masterpieces. It featured Em's famous first major label single and lead single for the album, My Name Is, along with many other household-name songs including Just Don't Give a F**k, Brain Damage, Guilty Conscience (feat. Dr. Dre), Rock Bottom, and Still Don't Give a F**k.

  5. The Marshall Mathers LP2

TMMLP2 (2013) was Eminem's return after Recovery and his second album of the 2010s. The 79-minute sequel album contained Em's first chopping (very fast style) song, Rap God.

Other well-known hits included the rock-sampled party track Berserk, Bad Guy (the sequel to the iconic Stan), and the huge radio love song The Monster (feat. Rihanna).

  6. Encore

The infamous Encore (2005) is known for its mixed bag of songs and quality. It contains two classic emotional tracks, Mockingbird and Like Toy Soldiers.

The album also features the well-known, silly, controversial single, A** Like That, as well as the playful Michael Jackson dance track single, Just Lose It.

  7. Relapse

"Encore I was on drugs, Relapse I was flushing 'em out" - Talkin' to Myself. Another "comeback" album that came during a dark time in Em's life, hence the title. The album had many guilty-pleasure type tracks that became hits, including "We Made You" and "Crack a Bottle (feat. 50 Cent & Dr. Dre)."

The album also features the fan-adored, wholesome track and single "Beautiful." The re-release of the album, Relapse: Refill, famously featured "Forever" (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West).

  8. Kamikaze

Kamikaze (2018)'s lead single, "Venom," is known by most despite being disliked by many because of its catchy, movie-like chorus. "The Ringer," "Not Alike (feat. Royce Da 5'9")," and "Lucky You (feat. Joyner Lucas)" are other somewhat well-known songs from the album as well.

  9. The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)

Every man and his rottweiler has heard the lead single "Houdini." Although the album hasn't been out for long, the next biggest tracks are likely "Temporary (feat. Skylar Grey)," "Fuel (feat. JID)," and "Evil."

  10. Music to Be Murdered By

MTBMB (2020) is known for its catchy, "Rap God"-like chopping (really fast rapping style) hit featuring Juice WRLD, "Godzilla," as well as well-regarded hits such as "Unaccommodating," "You Gon' Learn (feat. Royce Da 5'9")," and "Darkness."

  11. The Contenders
  12. Revival
