Top 10 Hottest Vocaloids

Vocaloids can sing, dance, and fill digital arenas with more glowsticks than a rave on rocket fuel. But some of them bring more than just vocal flair. Some bring the whole aesthetic package, and then some. From edgy synth punks to sweet pastel idols, these virtual icons have turned head-turning into a full-time gig.

It's not just the outfits or the hair. Though, let's be honest, there's a lot of hair. It's the vibe. And you're here for it.

What makes a Vocaloid hot is totally up to you. Is it the smirk? The confidence? The dangerously sharp fashion sense? Maybe it's that vocal tone that gives you goosebumps and makes you question your relationship with actual humans.

There are no wrong answers here. Just pixels, synths, and a whole lot of fandom-fueled admiration.

The Top Ten
  1. Kagamine Len

Len Kagamine is a male Vocaloid developed by Crypton Future Media. He was released on December 27, 2007, and his voice is provided by Asami Shimoda, who also voices his counterpart, Rin Kagamine. Len is packaged with Rin as part of the Kagamine Rin and Len bundle, and he has remained one of the most... read more

He's so cute! He's awesomely great! What more can a kid say?! He is too amazing for the human race to see. I'm only speaking the truth. So there you have it. He's cool, attractive, and a great singer. I'm not going to talk trash about any Vocaloid to prove my point. I love all of them! (Even though I kinda like Miku the least.)

If we're talking about hotness here, it's obviously Len. Why is everybody talking about voices here?! I admit the best Vocaloid voices, in my opinion, are Luka and Gumi, and Miku is also unbelievably cute. But look up the dictionary, please.

  2. Megurine Luka

Well, she has bigger boobs than most of the girls besides Meiko, so that's a winner. But it's not about that. I'm glad Luka is this high on the list, but she has to be higher! She is very attractive, and her voice is amazing. A lot of people underestimate her because her voice is too low. Unlike most of the other Vocaloids, her voice is not screeching in your eardrums. It's pretty and calming, which is why I like her the best and always will!

There go the Len fangirls thinking a prepubescent boy is apparently the hottest Vocaloid in existence. This is the whole Justin Bieber thing all over again. Anyways, steering away from that little rant, Luka needs to be number one! She is by far the most attractive Vocaloid out there!

If she were real, I would (I'm a little bit ashamed, but) turn bisexual just for her! Definitely think that the curvaceous and sexy Luka would surpass the prepubescent and girly Len any day. (Don't get me wrong, I love Len, but Luka just puts him to shame.)

  3. KAITO

KAITO is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Yamaha Corporation using their Vocaloid singing synthesizer technology under the codename "Taro." Released in 2006, KAITO was one of the first Japanese Vocaloid voicebanks. He has since gained a strong following and... read more

Wow, scrolling down the opinions turned out to be a fan war. Of course, we all have our different tastes in people and looks, but I have to admit, that blue-haired doofus is really huggable. And his Requiem outfit in Project Diva is rather attractive-looking. Not to mention that there's tons of fan art out there. Ahem.

I think I like Kaito in the spot he's in right now. Can't have him being too hot. His ice cream will melt otherwise! *laughs*

Kaito's character is very profound with his iconic sapphire blue, his muffler, and his love for ice cream, being a kind and fun-loving elder brother. His voice can be sad and emotional like a human's. His tall and slender figure allows him to dance elegantly on stage. All these make him a real hot guy!

  4. Kamui Gakupo

Gackpoid is a voice synthesizer software developed by Internet Co., Ltd. for the Vocaloid platform. The voicebank features samples from Japanese singer and actor Gackt. The software's mascot is named Kamui Gakupo, derived from Gackt's stage name Gackt Camui.

Gakupo is pretty hot, but what I find so attractive about him is his seriousness. I can never get over that! I really love his purple ponytail too. I'm glad he's so high on this list.

Gakupo is by far the sexiest Vocaloid ever. I don't know what it is about me and guys with long hair. It's just hella sexy.

Ahh, he's so hot. And when he tries English, it's better than Miku's, and he doesn't even have an English voice bank.

  5. IA

IA is a humanoid character voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by 1st Place Co., Ltd., based in Meguro, Japan. The software uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizer technology. Her voice is sampled from Japanese singer Lia, and IA has been featured in numerous music... read more

Well, I never showed any interest in Vocaloid until I heard IA's voice. It sounds so real compared to the majority of the other Vocaloids. Her voice can make you cry or dance. She is an angel, but at the same time, we can feel the mystery surrounding her, like we can never get closer to her. It's as if she has a hard past that we can understand in her songs, which are full of emotion.

She is so pretty. Moreover, her outfit is simple but beautiful (she is simply beautiful). I have nothing else to say. She is just the perfect Vocaloid for me.

The mysterious aura around her makes you more and more curious about her. Plus, her outfit and hair make her elegant yet exotic. No one knows where she comes from or her age. It is like she is a person that you can never get close to.

From head to toe, she is filled with mystery, beauty, and elegance. Yet, if you look closely, it is like she is hiding something behind everything that I have said. Just from Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story, you can tell that she is hiding something. Which is what makes her capture your heart.

  6. Kagamine Rin

Rin Kagamine is a female Vocaloid developed by Crypton Future Media. She is released together with her male counterpart Len Kagamine, and both are sold as part of a package. Rin is voiced by Japanese actress and singer Asami Shimoda.

Rin is hands down my favorite Vocaloid. I actually like her high voice. It enables her to reach extremely high pitches that I've never really heard any others reach. Just listen to "Re-birthed" (not "Re-birthday!"). That high voice of hers is in no way a hindrance when she sings sad songs.

She can also sing cheerful ones like "Always Be Happy" and tsundere songs like "Demon Girlfriend" and sounds absolutely awesome. But at the same time, her sad songs are absolutely heavenly. Try listening to "Regret Message," "Proof of Life," "Blink," and "Paper Plane," to name a few.

And look at her design. I love her short hair (though she looks just as good with long hair) and her ribbon. She can look good without needing a huge chest.

  7. GUMI

GUMI is a female Vocaloid voicebank developed by Internet Co., Ltd. She is the most popular non-Crypton Vocaloid and is voiced by Japanese singer Megumi Nakajima. GUMI is frequently used in music across various genres and is recognized for her versatile vocal range.

Gumi is sweet, mischievous at times, but her voice is soft and real, something you don't usually get in Vocaloids. Not to mention the fact that her outfit goes together ever so perfectly. I mean, come on, how many people do you know that can rock an orange skirt with green hair?

Megpoid Gumi and Megurine Luka are obviously, in my opinion, the best and most amazing Vocaloid singers. Not high-pitched or whiny like Rin, not a cute 16-year-old like Miku, not a sexy shota, but much more. Take songs like Circus Monster, Happy Synthesizer, and Mozaik Role. All amazing songs. Her voice is soothing and beautiful. Go Gumi!

  8. SeeU

SeeU (Korean: 시유. RR: Siyu) is a female Korean vocal created for the Vocaloid 3 software by SBS A&T (formerly SBS Artech) and was the only Korean vocal released for that version of the software. As well as a Korean vocal, she possessed a Japanese vocal. The voice behind her is Dahee Kim from the former... read more

She's not hot. She's just an inspiration for Shugo Chara characters - *cough* Rima *cough*.

That hair, though... I love World is Mine, Hide and Seek, and why not, Gangnam Style!

She sounds good, especially in I=Fantasy/Falling.

  9. Lily

Lily (Japanese: リリィ, Riryi) is a female Vocaloid created by Internet Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Avex Management Co., Ltd., and Yamaha Corporation. She was initially released in August 2010 for the VOCALOID2 engine.

A second installment, developed for the VOCALOID3 engine and named V3 Lily... read more

Lily shouldn't be 10...She should be 1. Her voice is much, much better than Miku's. Not to mention her reddish gold hair. She has so much grace and poise. Her sparkling blue hair and creamy beige skin are gorgeous. Her husky yet soft voice is gorgeous. She should really be the mascot for Vocaloid and the number one, in my opinion.

Tall and willowy, with creamy peach skin and a delicate heart-shaped face. Sparkling sapphire eyes framed by brilliant reddish gold hair, a slight blush, long slender fingers, and a small rose-pink mouth. She carries herself with grace and poise.

  10. Utatane Piko

Utatane Piko is a Japanese Vocaloid developed by Sony Entertainment for the Vocaloid 2 engine. His voice is based on the Japanese singer Piko. Utatane Piko was released in December 2010 and was designed to offer a realistic male vocal.

He's cute and has a good voice. It can also go low in some songs, which creates a good contrast. This makes him sound cool.

If I didn't already have a boyfriend, I would buy Piko and use his voice to serenade me. I love Piko. His adorableness levels are to the max.

Once you get past all the girl voice nonsense, you can see that he has a very alluring voice!

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Cyber Diva

  13. ?

    Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku, sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media. She is part of the Vocaloid software series and uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid technology. Miku has become a global virtual pop icon, performing... read more

I don't know why nobody put her on the list before! She is the most popular, after all.

Hatsune Miku is the most popular Vocaloid. Can anyone tell me why she is in last place? She is very popular among fans.

She's just god. I think that explains it well.

  14. The Contenders
  15. Hiyama Kiyoteru

Hiyama Kiyoteru is a masculine Vocaloid character produced by AH-Software Co. Ltd and originally released for Vocaloid 2. His voice is provided by Japanese male singer Kiyoshi Hiyama. He has also been updated for Vocaloid 4 and featured in various music and software applications.

Literally, why is damn Oliver, out of all people, drastically higher than someone who's 1) not a literal child and 2) objectively extremely hot? How can you not hear his voice and look at that rock design and not absolutely swoon?

    Normal teacher Kiyoteru? Nah.

But rock Kiyoteru...is so hot. I'm dead.

  16. Fukase

Fukase is a vocal developed and distributed by Yamaha Corporation for Vocaloid 4. He is voiced by Satoshi Fukase, the lead singer of the Japanese band SEKAI NO OWARI. Released in 2016, Fukase's voicebank supports both Japanese and English, and he is known for his distinctive vocal tone.

I love his voice. It's low-pitched and deep while still having a high-pitched edge to it. His design is also amazing!

He sounds super good in the lower range!

  17. Oliver

Oliver is an English-language Vocaloid developed by PowerFX Systems AB in collaboration with VocaTone. His voice was recorded from a British choirboy and he was released for the Vocaloid 3 engine in December 2011. Oliver is popular for his youthful and classical vocal tone.

Okay, first off, he sings way better than some computer high-tech thing. He actually sounds amazing! Plus, he's actually 12, considering he was released in December 2012 and his birthday is in August. He's so clear that you don't even need lyrics to understand him!

He needs to be in the top ten! Why? Well:

    1. He has a beautiful voice.

    2. His voice is way better than Len, Rin, and Miku.

    Please, he needs this.

Oliver should at least be in the top ten. He is the easiest male Vocaloid to understand besides Kaito and actually sounds good singing high! I'm talking to all the songwriters that make Kaito and Len sing high.

  18. MEIKO

MEIKO is a humanoid persona featured in a voice synthesizer application developed by Yamaha Corporation using the Vocaloid engine. She was the first Japanese Vocaloid voicebank released by Crypton Future Media. MEIKO's voice is provided by a female Japanese singer and has been used in numerous original... read more

Damn! Meiko is gorgeous and sounds human-like. She has such a powerful voice. Honestly, I am astonished she scored so low. To think she was beaten by Rin of all Vocaloids!

I don't mean to go off track, but Rin and Len are children. Miku is only sixteen. To be fair, isn't that a bit young to be considered "sexy"?! I understand Luka, IA, and Kaito's placing. They are all at appropriate ages and are attractive. However, Meiko deserves to be much higher on this list. And not just because of her boobs, which are still a plus, by the way. Her singing is amazing, her outfit is hot, and she has a beautiful figure.

Out of all of the VOCALOIDs, Meiko is one of the only ones who is really meant to be seen as hot or sexy. I'm actually a bit disturbed that Len is so high on the list because he's so young and he's designed to look like a child.

I don't think that Meiko is the hottest or sexiest, but she's one of the only ones that doesn't make me uncomfortable to view in a sexier (for lack of a better word) way because she's one of the only ones that isn't designed to look like a child. Oliver beat her? Seriously? He's 12! I think of Len, Rin, and Miku as cute rather than hot.

  19. V4 Flower

By far the best Vocaloid for many reasons.

  20. VY2 Yuma

VY2 (codename: YUMA) is a Japanese VOCALOID developed and distributed by Bplats, Inc., under the YAMAHA Corporation. It was released in April 2011 for the VOCALOID2 engine. A second version, VY2v3, was later released for the VOCALOID3 engine in both deluxe and standard editions.... read more

He's really sweet. Although he can go a little insane with his eyes sometimes. If you know me, I've known Vocaloid for four years. VY2 Yuma was actually an assassin. He would kill the innocent with Gakupo. I know this. He got tired of it, so he dyed his hair pink and got a different outfit.

He's still really attractive, though. But now he's trying to change, which is good. In conclusion, he's really cute! He's a little hot too.

Hot sword man. Not much to be said other than the obvious. His voice can go so low and smooth, and I chase it to hold on to.

  21. MAYU

MAYU is a female Japanese Vocaloid voice bank released in December 2012 by EXIT TUNES for the VOCALOID3 engine. She is voiced by Japanese singer Mayumi Morinaga. The character is often portrayed as a yandere junior high school girl and has received mixed reception among fans.

Mayu is hotter than you! I'm sorry for saying that. It's just that Mayu is so hot!

A lolita that carries an axe?

She's just so cute as well.

    Personally, I love her.

  22. SF-A2 Miki

SF-A2 codename Miki is a female Vocaloid character produced by AH-Software Co. Ltd for the Vocaloid 2 engine. She was released in October 2008 and features a Japanese female voicebank. Miki is often used in Vocaloid music and illustrations and remains a recognized figure in the Vocaloid community.

I love Miki. Her voice is adorable and cute. She needs a lot more love than she gets! She's an amazing singer. Go Miki!

Miki is tied with Neru for first place in my favorites! She's so cute, and I feel like she needs more appreciation!

Miki is so cute and has a cute voice. ADORABLE!

I always make songs with her.

  23. Yuzuki Yukari

Yuzuki Yukari (結月ゆかり) is a Japanese VOCALOID developed by Vocalomakets and distributed by AH-Software Co. Ltd. She was first released in December 2011 for the VOCALOID3 engine and is also available as a VOICEROID+. In March 2015, she was updated for the VOCALOID4 engine with the addition of two more... read more

Heck, I don't even like her voice. Heck, I'm a GIRL. But if we're talking about the hottest Vocaloid, let's speak the truth here.

I think Yukari is hot! Probably because not many people know her like Len or Miku, that's why she's ranked low. If Miku had Yukari's looks, then Miku (in Yukari's look) would be ranked second!

She may not be considered maturely attractive. However, she is kawaii. Her voice is very light yet deep, with hidden secrets about her.

  24. Nekomura Iroha

Nekomura Iroha is a female Vocaloid character produced by AH-Software Co. Ltd for the Vocaloid 2 engine. Her voice was sampled from Showa-style singer Kyounosuke Yoshitate. She features a unique feline-themed design and is known for her powerful vocal tone.

Love Iroha! She deserves so much more than she has. Seriously, she sounds more realistic than Gumi when used right! VOTE HER UP!

  25. Luo Tianyi

Luo Tianyi is a Chinese Vocaloid virtual singer first released on July 12, 2012. She was originally developed by Bplats, Inc. and is now managed by Shanghai Henian. She's just 14 but is the best looking!

  26. Kokone

Kokone (心響), whose name means "Heart Sound" in Japanese, is a Vocaloid 3 voicebank developed by Internet Co., Ltd. She was released on February 14, 2014, and is known for her wide vocal range and ability to sing in both high and low registers. Kokone is often used in pop and ballad music genres.

Come on, guys! She is my wife! She is so sexy. Just get in my bed already! Oh, sorry, it's just that I'm a boy, and she is my favorite Vocaloid.

She is hot and sexy. I love her voice, and I think Yohioloid and Kokone would make a cute couple.

Best girl! Her voice is like an angel's!

  27. CUL

CUL is a Japanese female Vocaloid software voicebank created by Internet Co., Ltd. Her singing voice is provided by voice actress Eri Kitamura. She is part of a broader ecosystem of Vocaloid characters, which are used by music producers to create synthesized vocal tracks. Since her release, CUL has been... read more

  28. Aoki Lapis

If there were a Top Ten Cutest Vocaloids, and if Rion and Lapis were more well-known, they would be in the top 5. She has it all: the no-curves, the 15 cm height, the big bust, everything!

She's cute, sweet, and her voice is really nice. She should definitely be more popular.

  29. Big Al

Ha, he is not my favorite, but that dude deserves a chance.

Most cursed Vocaloid in the world. I love it!
