Top 10 Music Artists with the Worst Fanbases

Music, like any art form, is subjective. What one person may consider the magnum opus of an artist might just be noise to another. That being said, it isn't always the music itself that causes a stir, but the people who love it.

When we say 'worst fanbases', what we really mean are the fanbases that, for one reason or another, have gained a notorious reputation for their attitudes, their behaviors, or even their sheer fanaticism. Often, it's these groups that cast a shadow on an otherwise talented artist, turning casual discussion about music into a toxic battleground of extreme opinions.

So, how does one determine which fanbases truly deserve this infamous label? Well, you're the judge here. You're the one who gets to vote, and your opinion is as valid as anyone else's. Whether you've had personal experiences with a fanbase that left a sour taste in your mouth, or you've observed their antics from a safe distance, you're the one who can tip the scales.
The Top Ten
Kanye West Ye (born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and fashion designer. He is regarded as one of the most influential, as well as controversial, artists of the 21st century... read more

They defend his actions despite being objectively wrong. He claims he's the biggest rapper, the second Jesus, he said slavery is a choice and trashed Taylor Swift at the AMAs despite her song regularly winning.

Beyoncé Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. They had multiple top 5 hits such as "No, No, No", "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Jumpin', Jumpin" from... read more

Beyoncé is overrated, and she definitely should be at the top of this list. The fanbase of most of the other singers on this list is sane compared to the Beyhive. Her fans think that she's a wonderful singer, despite evidence that contradicts that.

A truly wonderful singer wouldn't need to lip-sync or use auto-tune in their performances. It's also stupid that her fans say that she worked hard to get where she is. If dancing half-naked on stage is working hard, then strippers work hard every day.

The big difference is that strippers get paid much less, and they're not lip-syncing something that was written by other people. The Beyhive even thinks that Beyoncé is a standard among female musicians. That's stupid since she wasn't even the first female musician that became famous for doing what she had done to become famous.

Obviously, the ignorant Beyhive wants to pretend that Madonna never happened. I really think that the Beyhive would go as far as being fake when it comes to defending Beyoncé. She has the worst fanbase of any singer.

One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records... read more
Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette... read more

I wouldn't say that the fans of The Beatles were as aggressive as the Beliebers. There is a big difference between cheering for singers that are great and cheering for Bieber, Lil Wayne, or The Insane Clown Posse.

Fans of The Beatles were cheering for real musicians. The Beatles could write great tunes because they were creative. Also, The Beatles did not use auto-tune or pretend to sing when they were performing.

Dumb fans of Bieber think that he's a great musician when he isn't, and his fans verbally attack people for saying that he's terrible. Also, I don't recall hearing about people that cut themselves for The Beatles.

Billie Eilish Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, known professionally as Billie Eilish (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter, best known for her songs "When the Party's Over", "Bury a Friend", "Everything I Wanted", "Happier Than Ever" and especially "Bad Guy".

I am worried about her fans' mental health. If they have any good sense, they shouldn't fall for all of the atrocities she wants them to do.

She is wise, but her lyrics are totally delusional.

Her fanbase does have mental problems, but that can be said about the fanbases of several other singers on this list.

She'll have one of the worst fanbases of the next generation.

Eminem Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce... read more

If he wasn't a white rapper, at least half of his ignorant fans would not care about him. His career benefited from the same thing that made Vanilla Ice, Macklemore, and the Beastie Boys very famous rappers.

Most of their fans are racists. The only reason Eminem is given more praise by racist fans is because he released more big singles than Vanilla Ice, Macklemore, or the Beastie Boys. The fanbase of all those overrated fools would call Nicki Minaj a divine goddess if she were a white rapper.

Their fans think that Eminem is superior, and they attack every kind of new school music. The fact that Eminem isn't even close to being one of the best rappers of all time but he is voted as the GOAT on various websites tells how bad his fanbase is.

Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift is best known for writing personal songs and has won 13 Grammy Awards... read more

Taylor Swift's fanbase is criminally low on this list. Taylor Swift has an ignorant fanbase. The ignorance of Swift's fanbase is in the territory of Eminem's fanbase.

Given that many of their fans are racist, the ignorance of their fanbase makes sense.

They are delusional for thinking Taylor is still the most relevant artist in the industry when, in fact, outside of her big fandom, no one really listens to Taylor's music anymore.

Many of Taylor Swift's fans are racist. Her racist fans call her an Aryan goddess. That shows the ignorance of many Taylor Swift fans.

Drake Aubrey Drake Graham, known professionally as Drake, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor, born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Canada. He started his career on Canadian reality show "Degrassi: The Next Generation".
Dream (YouTuber)

He literally started a music career this year, so he brought all of his stans to it.

His album is complete trash. To whoever wants to hear it: I would do anything to unhear that album.

Chris Brown Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. He is most well known for his physical assault towards the singer Rihanna in... read more

It's pretty amazing that Chris Brown would still have a fanbase after the brutal beating. Then again, Ike Turner was still able to record music after that movie showed what he had done when he wasn't singing nor playing the guitar, and Ike did that to a much bigger pop star.

The music business is really twisted. At least Chris Brown isn't half as liked as he was before that beating. It's really twisted that his most loyal fans would say that Chris Brown can beat them up any day.

His fans believe he's the next Michael Jackson and defend him when he abused Rihanna. Enough said.

The Newcomers

? Ice Spice

Only Gen Alpha would like her crappy, overrated music since they have terrible taste in music. Gen Z's taste in music is way better.

There are people who will defend her awful music. She has zero talent, absolutely zero talent, but her fans will defend her horrible music.

? Madonna Madonna Louise Ciccone, known professionally as Madonna, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She influenced a lot of singers such as: Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears. She is known as Queen of Pop and at modern pop culture specifically... read more

One of the most rabid and delusional fanbases in existence. They still call her pretty even though she looks like a deformed alien, and they become really aggressive when people criticize her in the slightest.

I am glad Gaga isn't here because her fanbase isn't that bad. Her hatebase is much worse.

The Contenders
Miley Cyrus Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus), known professionally as Miley Cyrus, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Her voice type is Mezzo-Soprano and spans 4 octaves... read more

Perverts, dummies, and nepotism made her one of the most overrated celebrities.

Nicki Minaj Onika Tanya Maraj, known professionally as Nicki Minaj (born December 8, 1982) is a Trinidadian/American rapper / pop music artist. Minaj is most known for her songs such as "Anaconda", "Super Bass", "Starships" and her feature on "Bang Bang"... read more

They're always crying and playing the victim because Nicki never won a Grammy or never had a solo number one hit. I'm already tired of how they behave on social media.

Her fans are as terrible as she is.

Radiohead Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwoood (bass guitar), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar).

Most pretentious fanbase without a shadow of a doubt.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Radiohead the band, but their fans? Ugh... Radiohead could put out an album of ten tracks of farts and their fanbase would hail it as the greatest album since their previous release.

It doesn't help that reviewers are too afraid to say anything bad about anything they do, out of fear of being verbally castrated by their fans.

Ariana Grande Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her four-octave vocal range has received critical acclaim, and her personal life has been the subject of widespread media attention. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including two Grammy... read more

Arianators occasionally attack Lady Gaga and Little Monsters. They have this superiority complex, thinking their idol is the main reason for someone's success.

Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined... read more

A thief, a poser, and a pedophile. His fans have a double standard when it comes down to him. I think if he had committed mass murder, his obsessed fans would still love him. Elvis is dead, and his music should be as dead as he is. He is the king of overrated losers.

That comment about Elvis is completely true. Elvis is a loser, and his fans do hold a big double standard for him. Also, racism played a big role in the double standard that surrounds him.

The fanbase is basically a cult these days. Elvis' real worth as an artist has been lost.

Melanie Martinez Melanie Adele Martinez is an American singer and songwriter. Melanie Martinez auditioned for the American television vocal talent show The Voice and became a member of Team Adam.
Carrie Underwood Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma) is an American country singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005... read more

Why isn't she number one when her fanbase is literally made up of the KKK!

My Chemical Romance My Chemical Romance is an American rock band from Jersey City, New Jersey, active from 2001 to 2013, and again from 2019 to present day. For much of their career, the band consisted of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way, and drummer Bob Bryar.

I'm pretty sure any emo fanbase is awful.

Bangtan Boys BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013. RM is the leader and the other members are V, Jimin, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook

The worst of the worst, they won't allow you to dislike that garbage BTS band. They always use the race card to defend them. They have threatened people, promising to sue them if they say something negative about them, and they will mass join your tweets/comments as soon as you criticize them. They also are frauds because they fake streams to give them "hits" that nobody besides them listens to.

Worst fanbase ever, almost reminds me of religious cults, and they try to defend their so beloved band from any criticism. Even constructive criticism isn't allowed.

Insane Clown Posse Insane Clown Posse is an American hip hop, horrorcore and rap rock duo consisting of rappers Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, that was formed in 1989 in Detroit... read more

Their fans are terrible, but at least Insane Clown Posse is not hugely liked. Can you imagine how horrible their fans would get around the web or in public if they were hugely liked? They would make the fans of Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, or even Beyonce seem tame by comparison. It's great that the fanbase of Insane Clown Posse is not that big.

The Insane Clown Posse sucks. Even with the dumb, devoted fans they have, I'm amazed they performed as long as they did.

It's very clear their fanbase is terrible when the feds called their fanbase a gang.

Selena Gomez Selena Marie Gomez is an American actress and singer. She is best known for songs like "Come & Get It", "Good For You", "Same Old Love", and "It Ain't Me". Selena Gomez's voice is mezzo-soprano but she usually sings in alto. She is best known for her role as Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place.
Britney Spears Britney Jean Spears, born on December 2, 1981, is an American former singer and actress. She was born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. His fans are so toxic, especially on YouTube, where they treat him like he's the only good rapper. I have been attacked by several toxic Tom MacDonald fans on YouTube for not liking his music.

Kelly Clarkson Kelly Brianne Clarkson is an American singer, songwriter and children's book author. She rose to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural season of the television series American Idol, which earned her a record deal with RCA Records.
