Top 10 Music Artists with the Worst Fanbases

The Top Ten
1 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. ...read more.

I wouldn't say that the fans of The Beatles were as aggressive as the Beliebers. There is a big difference with cheering for singers that are great and cheering for Bieber, Lil Wayne, or The Insane Clown Posse. Fans of The Beatles were cheering for real musicians. The Beatles can write great tunes, because they were creative. Also, The Beatles did not use auto-tune nor pretended to sing when they were performing. Dumb fans of Bieber think that he's a great musician when he isn't, and his fans verbally attack people for saying that he's terrible. Also, I don't recall hearing about people that cut themselves for The Beatles.

Haters are worse, but his fanbase acts like everything he touches turns into gold. Like if he made a death metal song, his fans would still love it regardless of it sounding different. He just made a mumble rap song and his fans will still praise it like a gift from Jesus. He isn't as bad as people have been ranting about him, but he is also far from greatness

Guys stop saying his haters are worse. Are you just trying to defend him?

2 One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records ...read more.
3 Miley Cyrus Miley Ray Hemsworth (born Destiny Hope Cyrus), known as Miley Cyrus, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Her voice type is Mezzo-Soprano and has 4 octaves. She became a teen idol starring as the character Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana in 2006. After that Miley had numerous worldwide hits, such as ''Party in the USA'', '' We Can’t Stop'', and ''Wrecking Ball''. On December 23, 2018 she got married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, but they divorced shortly after.

Perverts, dummies, and nepotism made her one of the most overrated celebrities.

4 Ariana Grande Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her four-octave vocal range has received critical acclaim, and her personal life has been the subject of widespread media attention. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including two Grammy ...read more.

Arianators occasionally attacking Lady Gaga and Little Monsters, they have this superiority complex for thinking their idol is the main reason of someone's success.

5 Eminem Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide.

If he wasn't a white rapper, at least half of his ignorant fans would not care about him. His career benefited from the same thing that made Vanilla Ice, Macklemore, and the Beastie Boys very famous rappers. Most of their fans are racists. The only reason Eminem is given more praise by racist fans is because he released more big singles than Vanilla Ice, Macklemore, or the Beastie Boys. The fanbase of all those overrated fools would call Nicki Minaj a devine goddess if she was a white rapper.

Their fans think that eminem is superior and they attack every kind of new school music. The fact that Eminem isn't even close to being the best rappers of all time but he is voted as the goat in various websites tells how bad his fanbase is.

His fans really need to quit blowing on this guy. He's not that good. Many people, even Eminem himself, knows that if he wasn't white, more than half of his fans would not even care about him. Eminem has the worst blowhard fanbase of any rapper.

Most of his fans are biased against other rappers. There had even been claims that many eminem fans are racist.

6 Chris Brown Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. He is most well known for his physical assault towards the singer Rihanna in 2009. He is also known for many hit singles, such as "Kiss Kiss", "Run It!", "Forever", "Deuces", "Look At Me Now", "Loyal", "Ayo", and "Back to Sleep".

It's pretty amazing that Chris Brown would still have a fanbase after the brutal beating. Then again, Ike Turner was still able to record music after that movie showed what he had done when he wasn't singing nor playing the guitar, and Ike did that to a much bigger pop star. The music business is really twisted. At least Chris Brown isn't half as liked as he was before that beating. It's really twisted that his most loyal fans would say that Chris Brown can beat them up any day.

His fans believe he's the next Michael Jackson and defend when he abused Rihanna... Enough said.

He has fans that said he could beat them up any day. His loyal fans are terrible.

Chris Brown is a loser, and the people that defend what he did are losers too.

7 Bangtan Boys BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment.

I click on every new music they release, but I don't consider myself as an ARMY because the term is now pejorative, especially due to some Korean citizens who are rude and toxic. It breaks my heart to say that, mainly because they have to complete military service, and they are great at what they do and their engagement. I like plenty of other artists like Sufjan Stevens or Axl Rose today as well. It's not my role to describe how big they are, but they are the most popular K-pop group, so people are mad about discovering K-pop. K-pop has been international since the 90s, and it has existed since the 50s.

The worst of the worst, they won't allow you to dislike that garbage BTS band, they always use the race card to defend them, they have threatened people to sue them if they say something negative about them and they will mass join your tweets/comments as soon as you criticize them. They also araea frauds because they fake streams to give them "hits" nobody besides them listens to.

Worst fanbase ever, almost reminds me of religious cults and they try to defend their so beloved band from any criticism, even constructive criticism isn't allowed.

Should be way ahead of everyone, they'll literally accuse you of being racist if you hate BTS and will fight each other over who's the best member.

8 Nicki Minaj Onika Tanya Maraj, known professionally as Nicki Minaj (born December 8, 1982) is a Trinidadian/American rapper / pop music artist. Minaj is most known for her songs such as "Anaconda", "Super Bass", "Starships" and her feature on "Bang Bang". Despite her controversial songs, Brent Staples from "The New York Times" claimed her to be 'the most influential female rapper of all time', presumably distinctive for her fast flow and her use of alter egos with Cockney accent. She has endorsed Adidas, MAC Cosmetics and Pepsi. Minaj has received ten Grammy-nominations throughout her career, and has won multiple awards including the Billboard's Women in Music 2011 Rising Star award.

Always crying and playing victim because Nicki never win a Grammy or never have a solo #1 hit. Already tired with how they behave in social media.

Her fans are as terrible as she is.

They are so toxic

9 Kanye West Ye (born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and fashion designer. He is regarded as one of the most influential, as well as controversial, artists of the 21st century. ...read more.

They defend his actions despite being objectively wrong, he claims he's the biggest rapper, the second Jesus, he said slavery is a choice and trashed Taylor Swift at the AMAs despite her song regularly winning.

10 Selena Gomez Selena Marie Gomez is an American actress and singer. She is best known for songs like "Come & Get It", "Good For You", "Same Old Love", and "It Ain't Me". Selena Gomez's voice is mezzo-soprano but she usually sings in alto. She is best known for her role as Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place.
The Contenders
11 Nirvana Nirvana was an American grunge band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana disbanded after Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The drummer of the band, David Grohl, went on to start the Foo-Fighters, an alternative rock band.

The band was comprised of Kurt Cobain (Vocals, Guitar), Dave Grohl (Drums) and Krist Novoselic (Bass). ...read more.
12 5 Seconds of Summer 5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop-rock band from Sydney, Australia, that formed in 2011. The group were originally YouTube celebrities, posting videos of themselves covering songs from various artists during 2011 and early 2012. They rose to international fame while touring with One Direction on the Take Me Home Tour.

I love 5 Seconds of Summer and I am part of the 5SOS fam. But I can admit that some (if not, most) members of the 5SOS fam can be annoying. Even I get annoyed by my own 5SOS fam so that might be saying something.

13 Michael Jackson Michael Jackson (Michael Joseph Jackson; August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, dancer, and songwriter. He passed away from cardiac arrest caused by a propofol and benzodiazepine overdose on June 25, 2009. He donated (at least) a remarkable 500,000,000 dollars to charity. Michael is also known as The King of Pop (a title given to him by Elizabeth Taylor) or under the initials MJ. Dubbed the King of Pop, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. ...read more.

Never saw someone so overrated. The music was so much better in Jackson five. Freddy is 100% better than him, it's just that he don't do pop and he was on a group. His fans don't know how toxic he is, it makes me hurts to say that cause he is kind in medias but I don't will come back of what he is alleged. Hear his music who sound the same, his non expectionnal technic and his dancing skills who consist always by the same. Michael fans are for somes plus medias, ignorant to think he is the best musical artist ever.

Honestly I don't care how big he was, his fans need to learn how to handle an opinion, I like him a lot too but as soon as someone doesn't see him as the greatest singer ever they start mass hating really hard.

14 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The members currently include Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (DJ) and Rob Bourdon (drums). Linkin Park are associated with a mixture of Alternative Rock, Hip Hop and Techno. Some of their influences include Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, The Roots and Aphex Twin. ...read more.

The fans are incredibly split on almost anything. You have on the one side, the arrogant HT/Meteora fanboys who hate anything Linkin Park makes after those albums and on the other side, the fans who worship ever single song by the band and even if you don't like a certain song, or certain album, they consider you not a real fan. It's mind-numbing and annoying.

15 Radiohead Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwoood (bass guitar), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar).

Most pretentious fanbase without a shadow of a doubt.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Radiohead the band, but their fans?
Ugh... Radiohead could put out an album of ten tracks of farts and their fanbase would hail it as the greatest album since their previous release.
It doesn't help that reviewers are too afraid to say anything bad about anything they do, out of fear of being verbally castrated by their fans.

Should be in top ten

16 Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, led him to both great success and initial controversy. ...read more.

A thief, a poser, and a pedophile. His fans have a double standard when it comes down to him. I think if he had committed mass murder, his obsessed fans would still love him. Elvis is dead, and his music should be as dead as he is. He is the king of overrated losers.

That comment about Elvis is completely true. Elvis is a loser, and his fans do hold a big double standard for him. Also, racism played a big role in the double standard that surrounds him.

The fan base is basically a cult these days. Elvis' real worth as an artist has been lost.

Woah! To the person who's sayin' that Elvis is a p£do, do you have evidence? I mean he's the best selling solo artist in history! But yeah, his fanbase is worse, Elvis is not a loser.

17 Beyoncé Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. They had multiple top 5 hits such as "No, No, No", "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Jumpin', Jumpin" from 1999 to 2004. After they broke up in 2006, Beyonce pursued her solo career, creating smash hits such as "Crazy In Love", "Single Ladies", "Halo", "Partition", "Irreplaceable", "Drunk In Love", "Baby Boy", "Beautiful Liar", "7/11", and "Run The World (Girls)", and has since become one of the most influential performers and biggest celebrities of the 21st century.

Beyonce's fanbase is hypocritical for pulling the race card on anyone that criticizes her, given that colorism(racism within an ethnic group based on skin tone) is a big reason why she received so much fame and love. That can also be said about Rihanna, Drake, Zendaya, Halle Berry, and Cardi B.

Beyonce is overrated, and she definitely should be at the top of this list. The fanbase of most of the other singers on this list is sane compared to the Beyhive. Her fans think that she's a wonderful singer, despite evidence that contradicts that. A truly wonderful singer wouldn't need to lip-sync nor use auto-tune in their performances. It's also stupid that her fans say that she worked hard to get where she is. If dancing half naked on stage is working hard, then strippers work hard everyday. The big differences is that strippers get paid much less, and they're not lip-synching something that was written by other people. The Beyhive even think that Beyonce is a standard among female musicians. That's stupid, since she wasn't even the first female musician that became famous for doing what she had done to become famous. Obviously, the ignorant Beyhive wants to pretend that Madonna never happened. I really think that the Beyhive would go as far as to being fake when it comes to ...more

A fanbase that pulls the race card Every time someone criticizes Beyoncé, they also try to antagonize other stans like Rihanna or Christina Aguilera's despite them being a lot nicer, you can say your opinion without them mocking you. They also believe she's more talented than Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion etc when she's not even the best of her generation and no, having a great technique isn't enough.

Beyonce is fake. F-A-K-E! FAKE! Many of her fans are fake also. Most of Beyonce's fans would not even care about her if she didn't have her looks. Members of the media need to quit thinking that she's not fake.

18 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock. Page states it was Keith Moon of The Who that claimed the band could only go down, like a lead balloon -- thus prompting the iconic name of Led Zeppelin. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors ...read more.

The most obnoxious people. Will literally pray for you to go to hell and send death threats to you if you even say the slightest thing about Led Zeppelin. I've gotten so much backlash over this stupid band and it's obnoxious fanbase.

19 Carrie Underwood Carrie Marie Underwood is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol, in 2005. Her debut album, Some Hearts, was released in 2005.

Why isn't she #1 when her fanbase is literally made up of the KKK!

20 The Beatles The Beatles were an English pop rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were soon known as the foremost and most influential act of rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. ...read more.

Definitely top ten worthy so many of them say it is "ridiculous" to even consider that another artist could be better. They also sometimes say that virtually every later artist would not have become successful without them. This is fairly annoying no matter how many records they sold they don't have to be the greatest music artists of all time automatically.

I remember seeing a comment on YouTube saying "Whoever thinks the Beatles are overrated should get a lobotomy", which is damn harsh. Overrated doesn't exactly mean bad.

21 Britney Spears Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American actress and singer who was born in McComb, Mississippi, and grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana. She performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows like "The Mickey Mouse Club" as a child before signing with Jive Records in 1997 and going on to become a pop superstar and one of the most famous female pop singers of all time. She is best known for her songs such as "Toxic", "...Baby One More Time", "Circus", "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Oops!... I Did It Again", "Work B****", "Womanizer" and "Till' The World Ends".

Because she sucks

22 Tool Tool is an American alternative metal/progressive metal band, that was formed in 1990. ...read more.

The band is good, but its fanbase is extremely insufferable. They are a bunch of pretentious people who think that they are smart and superior because they listen to tool. The subreddit is filled with cringeworthy hero worship and insane obsession over Maynard James Keenan. Tell a fan that tool is a nu metal and his reaction will tell why tool's fanbase deserves to be in the top 10.

Tried to get into them, then I saw "any diaper rockin' tool fans here?"

23 Green Day Green Day are an American pop punk/punk rock band formed in East Bay, California in 1987.
