Seems like people don't know what self-defense is, huh? Anyway, the murder was not done in self-defense because: 1. He purposely drove to his bandmate's apartment in the middle of the night. 2. He stabbed Euronymous over 20 times in the back while he was trying to get away from him. 3. His friend pretty much confirmed that he had planned out the murder.
