He not only wowed me when he sang part of Avantasia's The Raven Child, but there's also a thing that exists called Blind Guardian's orchestral album: Legacy of the Dark Lands. The songs in the album all feature him singing as well as an entire orchestra. And let me tell you. In those songs, those were some of the absolute best vocals I've heard not only this year, but ever. He incorporated all different kinds of tones, sang some really high and low notes, and he was consistent too. He didn't sing exceptionally well in one song and terribly in another. Hansi was so good this year that it's honestly super hard to pick a favorite song from Legacy of the Dark Lands. He should get to number one. No one could surpass him when it comes to great vocal performances of 2019.
