Best Songs on Suicidal Tendencies's Lights... Camera... Revolution!
Lights... Camera... Revolution! is the fifth studio album by Suicidal Tendencies. The album was recorded between December 1989 and April 1990 at Rumbo Recorders in Canoga Park, California, and Amigo Studios in Hollywood, California. It was released on July 3, 1990. This was the final Suicidal Tendencies album to feature the Controlled by Hatred/Feel Like Shit... Déjà Vu lineup, which many fans feel was technically the strongest lineup the band ever had. Drummer R.J. Herrera left before the recording of their next album.
This album shows the band moving further away from their crossover thrash roots and beginning to establish themselves more firmly as a thrash metal band. At this point, it could be argued that the band had shifted from "crossover thrash" to "thrash metal." The song arrangements are more complex, as are the lyrics.
It was also the first Suicidal Tendencies album to display heavy funk influences, thanks in part to the input of new bassist Robert Trujillo. Trujillo would later work with acts such as Ozzy Osbourne and eventually become the bassist for Metallica, a role he still holds today.
The main riff from "Send Me Your Money" is the same as in "You'll Be Sorry" (part 2 of "Suicide's an Alternative" from the band's self-titled debut album).
