Top Ten Songs from Taylor Swift's 1989
This was my favourite ever song back in my Taylor phase. I came out of it for a while but kept listening to a few songs but now I'm back and this song is perfection. I remember thinking the chorus said something about Starbucks LOL! haha. I wouldn't be the person I am today without Taylor Swift and this song is brilliant.
Screaming, crying, perfect storms
I can make all the tables turn
Rose garden filled with thorns
Keep you second guessing like
"Oh my God, who is she? "
I get drunk on jealousy
But you'll come back each time you leave
'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream:favourite part of the song
But the worst is yeart to come Oh no screaming crying perfect storm I could make all the tables turn Garden roses filled with joy Keep you second Gussing like Oh My god who is she I get drunk on jelousy but you come back each time you live cause darling I'm nightmare dress like a daydream. Ohhh that is my best part of Blank space I am going crazy. Yho shout out to Taylor Swift. Every time I woke up I like to sing it uree!
Its very nice with a nice rhythm I really love it and want to listen to it more and suggest you to listen to this song. You will waste your time if you don't listen.
Wildest Dreams is different from the rest of the 1989 albums- but it is really really good. I mean I fell in love with the song when I first heard it- and the music video is also really good. It basically explains all that a girl feels when she falls or starts dating a bad boy- she knows she's going to end up hurt and she's just going to be one of his one-night stands but she still falls for his charm. AMAZING!
I think Blank Space and Wildest Dreams have to be my favorite from 1989, but I do really like the entire album. You'll never get tired of these songs, and while you play them on repeat, you get a chance to really appreciate some of the lyrics and just the talent poured into these songs.
No it's actually about a guy that she likes but he only kisses her because it's in the movie they are shooting. When they go to the awards he already has a girlfriend so her wildest dreams are crushed. She runs away but he comes out like he still loves her but it's to late she's already run away
The 2nd verse... Its literal seduction... And the way she says it... Like all dreamy... 'I said,"no has to know what we do", his hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room..
I love Blank Space and Wildest Dreams, but the best HAS to be Style, which is about her ex, Harry Styles. One Direction came back with Perfect later on. Yes it is great, but only because it's literally Style (no seriously, they sound completely alike). Blank Space is probably the funniest (as it's a self-parody), Wildest Dreams has the best meaning and the message Taylor is giving is actually original other than a breakup song, but Style is the best in production, voice, instrumental, etc.
Sorry but in my opinion, Style is way, WAY better than Blank Space! Blank Space is amazing but Style is much more! The catchy tune forces you to groove along! The music, the vocals and specially the ending portion is just outstanding. I simply love this song! Come on! Lets make this number one!
I can relate to this in some way cause my crush has blue eyes! But what I love most is...everything! The music, her vocals, the lyrics all about it is amazing! My favorite part is when she sings "Just take me home"
Style is perfection, IT IS so GOOD. I mean blank space is a great song- but style tops it all out. It's the perfect song to describe and on and off relationship.
Taylor Swift isn't exactly my favorite artist. I was never really a big fan of her. THIS, on the other hand, blew my mind. This may as well be one of the greatest break-up songs of all time, up there with "Runaway" by Kanye West. The instrumental is beautiful, and the lyrics are some of her best yet.
This song is so beautiful. The lyrics are among Taylor's most powerful, and the instrumental is so soothing. I love how the song sounds so calm and peaceful while the lyrics speak up moving on from a painful breakup. It's remarkable, really.
I think it's the first song of Taylor's pop album that is somehow different. A new way of writing songs that I think Taylor love this more. It's powerful in words and notes. And it will be living forever and always!
Seriously people, this is the ALL TOO WELL of 1989.After hearing Shake It Off,I felt like I had lost the lyrical genius taylor OR taylor had lost her lyrical prowess depending on my mood but this made me know she's still got it. It's easily the best song on 1989 with lovely instrumentation and the only 1989 song in my top 10 TS songs of all time. It's probably the only song on 1989 that in it's entirety can contend with her lyrical masterpieces from previous albums others on 1989 have maybe 3 brilliant lines within them. You can relate it to addiction of any sort,it the song that gave me the feeling I got from the RED album(her best in my opinion). IT IS A MASTERPIECE
"Out of the Woods is in my opinion one of the most moving and awe inspiring things I have ever heard or seen from Taylor. I just recently got to listening to it and have watched the video on YouTube. I have to admit, it tore me apart emotionally and I am still crying even now! Of course, a good cry though! It reminds me of my own hardships and struggles throughout much of my own life at various times, and at the same time gives me confidence and hope for an awesome future! I love you Taylor! You are truly an inspiration! "
This is the best song from this album. This music is so psychological and the clip is so emotional. This music makes me cry all time. And demonstrade that we have to fight against of our dangerous for find ourselves. It's like "Long Live" from her that I think is the best music from Taylor Swift. This my #3 best music from her and it's followed by "Long Live" and "Mean". Better than "Love Story" and the other musics that she have made.
I love eveything about this song, but what I love most about it is its smart and meaningful lyrics. When you start to understand and acknowledge the lyrics, it becomes one of your favorite songs immediately. That's what happened to me.
Okay. Really like this list and I'm not trying to offend anyone. So don't get mad. But I'm sad that my favorite isn't on any of the lists. Oh. My favorite song is This Love, by the way.
Taylor will regret not putting this on the album. I still do not get it! This is my personal favorite and most relatable song on the album. Who can relate to having a mass celebrity feud? No one (normal).Who can relate to having a relationship gone wrong and turning it into a crazyfest? No one but Taylor. But yet, you can relate to New Romantics, a fun dancy song about having fun, ignoring the past, and being the best you can be in life and so much more! I think you have heard enough.
This is by far my favorite album on the track. I love it because it is just like the kids who hate me would totally throw bricks at me and I would build a castle. Oh, and heartbreak is totally our national anthem.
No idea why this is a bonus track. Almost goth-like anthem about using the bricks they throw at us to build castles, and heartbreak being the national anthem.
This song doesn't get as much credit as it deserves. I think it should have been on the original album. I just love the Veronicas type feel it has to it!
Not only is the tune catchy but the lyrics are so clever "Something happens when everybody finds out, see the vultures circling dark clouds", "They are the hunters and we are the foxes", "Loose lips sink ships all the damn time". I know we can't relate to being in the spotlight and chased by paparazzi but I can relate to these lyrics in a sense of school and how rumours can be passed around so quickly so it has the same effect.
Ahhh great song. It immediately caught my attention when I first listened to 1989, because it gives goosebumps. Its tune creates a perfect mix with the lyrics. It describes perfectly the aspect of these kinds of relationships often unsupported by some people. Love it!
It's much better than even other singles. People just voted for the others because they haven't bought 1989 and they only heard the ones released on Vevo.
The tune is haunting! I listen to this every time 1989 pops into my mind! I love Taylor and her talent is so amazing, even in the lyrics!
My opinion: This song is good- the lyrics are catchy and make you want to sing along. But I don't think taylor put in as much effort into this song as the others. I mean it's a really great song and I understand how it's about haters and people who are going to stop you from doing great things but Taylor has done better songs. No offense, but I'm the biggest fan of Shake it Off but I do admit it is an amazing song with great lyrics and catchy tune.
This song is catchy but, personally, I don't think it is one of her BEST songs. It may be catchy, but the lyrics to his aren't NEARLY as good as Clean and This Love etc. Plus, they also are catchy. I also think that a good song should be more about its meaning and lyrics rather than its catchiness. And I'm not saying I don't LOVE Shake It Off, I really do
I've loved taylor since her debut, she was my teen years and I still love her in my 20's,I know her lyrics and delivery well enough to name this one of her weakest tracks not only on 1989 but of all time,I can provide a handful of tracks from her 1st 2 albums where her writing wasn't even at it's strongest that could blow it right out of the park.I think the best is CLEAN by a mile then comes THIS LOVE,I KNOW PLACES,NEW ROMANTICS,WONDERLAND. These tracks embody what I've always admired in Taylor as the lyrical genius she is
This should be the top I sing this in the Shower & when I'm in my room/somewhere it's quiet and private. it's catchy-my ex man brought his new girlfriend she's like o my God yea I'm just gonna shake it to the fellow over there with the hella good hair.I love her,I'm one BIG swiftie
I know lyrics to most of her songs I like both her country and her pop this is one of my big time favorites
I like the original better than the rap version (for those who don't know, there are two versions). I can relate, just like some of you can. I had a friend that I was pretty darn close to, and then, boom, she becomes a super big jerk. She got two of my best friends to be mean to me and abandon me, say really bad things about me, what's up with them? I will sing this!
I love this song so much. One of my best friends stabbed me in the back, spread rumors about me and then turned all my other friends against me. We had been friends for 7 years! I really want to sing this song in her face!
I remember watching the video. And being like this is awesome. To be honest I'm not the biggest T Swift Fan. But she reminds of a less extra version of Madonna. Who I love and Loathe at the same time. Same way with Taylor.
I can relate to this. My BFF was horrible to me, she got this thing called the thing, where all of a sudden she hated me for no reason. I ended it, and now I want to sing the chorus right in her face.
Such a beautiful song! The lyrics are rather simple, but still so relatable and they hit you like a tidal wave: "This love is good, this love is bad, this love is alive, back from the dead". Makes me cry every time I listen to this. Also her vocals on this song are angel-like. I think people should give this song way more attention, it deserves it!
I originally didn't like this song, but then I listened to the Ryan Adams version and it was so amazing, especially when he sang "...When you're young, you roam, when you're young, you roam. When you're young, you roam, but you come back to what you need". It just shows how amazing Taylor's lyrics are. She truly is an amazing lyricist.
What a beautiful ballad. This is one of the songs that truly show off Taylor's amazing songwriting skills and poetic feel. I can't believe that less people love this song. This song really deserves more recognition.
! This song gives me chills...I mean it's so unique as compared to other songs on the album. My fave part is the bridge where she says " your kiss, my cheek I watch you leave" gives me goosebumps to be honest.
The Alice in Wonderland allusions take me back to Love Story, except this song is more demented like Haunted. I love this writing style she uses where she takes a piece of well-known literature and applies to her own life and her own writing. The lyrics are PHENOMENAL.
This has to be my favourite song in the entire album because of the base drop and the fluidity of the song and the lyrics and the general meaning of the song.
My Favourite lyrics
"Didn't you calm my fears with the Cheshire cat smile "
"Its all fun and games till somebody loses their mind "
Whimsical Alice In Wonderland metaphors disguise a song about a troubled relatioship. You stay because it makes your life "never worse but never better"
While you're slowly being driven insane.
"I reached for you but you were gone/ I knew I had to go back home/ We searched the world for something else to make it feel like what we had/ but in the end in wonderland/ we both/ went/ mad"
Best and most haunting lyric from the whole album, if you ask me.
Great song! So catchy can't stop singing it!
I love how she manages to add the high pitched 'STAY' into this perfect song
The production and her singing in this is GREAT!
NO. 1 definitely!
I heart this song its like so catchy should be higher! Come on guys!
I think this song should be higher on the list, its very relatable.
This song should be right there at the top along with style.
Compared to Taylor's other songs, this one is so unique - and when you're as big as a swifty as me, uniqueness is what gets songs to the top of my list...the people who voted for Blank Space are not swifties.
I love this song because it is the transition between Red and 1989. It has acoustic guitars, but it also is written by Max Martin and Shellback, and has an 80s-ish beat.
I really do love this song - It's catchy and meaningful and positively addicting. I have no clue what it's doing below Bad Blood.
This song is really one of the standouts of this album! Definitely going to be a single and deserves a top 3 at least!
! Why is this 9th. Welcome to New York is such an AMAZING SONG! It is so damn catchy and is a hit in the face to those people that say that taylor only writes songs about boys. Love the song
I love how this song is the opening song for the album. I hope this will be her opening song for the tour!
My dream is to say "Welcome to New York" when I'm in New York. I never was in New York, but I will go there.
Why is there no love for this track? It's catchy and also the first track on the album!
His song is amazing! And Taylor got the music from Jack Antonoff and then wrote he song to it! Taylor is so talented and nice I think this is he reason she has haters because people are jealous of just don't know this. Haters, if you're reading this, just know that Taylor is a very kind human being and invited her really big fans to listen to this album 1989 before its release date with her, and this was in a few of the really big cities in America, and she baked them cookies! She also gave surprise early Christmas gifts (and keep in mind, she really thought about these and made sure they were perfect and some of them were quite expensive) to her really big fans too! She is a very kind soul and doesn't deserve hate. Just think about how you would feel if you were her.
How is I Wish You Would the last on this list?! It's one of the bests on the album! The electric guitar and the upbeat melody is perfect!
1. I wish you would
2. All you had to do was stay
4. How you get the girl
5. New romantics
6. Bad blood
7. I know places
9. Blank space
Come on, there are songs not even in the album higher than this! ? No sense! This song deserves to be on the list.
This is not the best song (Clean is the best she's ever written) but I will vote for this one repeatedly because this is bulls***, You're in Love is beautiful and amazing and shouldn't be down here, it is the 2nd most underrated song on the album (Clean, again). Shake it Off is terrible (lyrically) and should be at the bottom, not You're in Love.
I really don't even understand why the best songs on this album are bonus tracks. This song is so meaningful but ridiculously underrated. I don't even listen to Taylor all that much, but this song? I love it so much.
Oh come on it's probably the best song in the album!
Why is this song at thw bottom?! It's just amazing! And describes real love's feelings!
Actually I'm the one who add this.
This is a song?
