Fat, ignorant, lazy, they think they are the best when they are not. Americans don't know crap about other countries. I bet most think Africa is a country. ITS NOT

Awful people, angry, racist, stupid, rude, aggressive and when they are nice is over the top fake. They have some nice and only some genuinely nice people.

Totally absurd. I've travelled and lived in a number of countries. When you're strictly talking about people and character here (not politics or power) American's, in general, are some of the most helpful, friendly, kind, creative, open, tolerant, honest, and fun people on earth. Every possible race, color, nation, religion, orientation, and creed can be found in even smaller cities, in the middle of nowhere, in the US. It's the melting pot of the world and it's diversity is unmatched anywhere Are there rude Americans? Of course. It's not perfect. But there is no way it's objectively one of the 'rudest' countries on earth.

Only rude person I've ever seen is President Trump. But people gets used to him. I'm affraid he will be the republican nominee again the next president election.

I lived there for years. I've traveled most of the world and lived in four countries (including the hilariously #1 on this list - a straight hater vote). Without question Polish people are some of the most base, tactless, ignorant, arrogant, deluded, shallow, racist, anti-semitic, lying, thieving, backstabbing, complex-riddled, and you got it, RUDE people on planet earth. Making it worse, they actually think they're wonderful, as many of them are also the least Christian, 'Christians' you'll ever meet. This is only funny the first ten times they tell you how lovely they all are (and start criticizing your country as many are also 'global/cultural' experts). They are on these kinds of lists for a reason. Yes, there are some exceptions, but every cool and thoughtful Pole I knew there hated it and was either planning an escape or was trapped there because of family.

An appropriate ranking. Comments only a Pole could write; 'Poland is perhaps the greatest country to have ever existed' and actually be serious (others writing it might die from a laughing attack). Indeed, everyone aside from the 'high IQ', kind, polite, brave, thoughtful, caring, and oh-so-very-honest and cultured Pole, is wrong. Every country on earth - especially in Europe- could list off historical figures/events to brag about (how long would France or Italy's list be? ), but naturally, the 'humble' Pole takes their meager historical contributions and places themselves in the epicenter of global science and culture. Of course this arrogance is just one of the (many) reasons people will continue to find them to be clueless, backwards, bores.

Poland is not an exception as well as all the other nationalities I have met so far.
If you are one of those who would prefer to surround him/herself by fake characters telling you what you would like to hear by my guest.
Poles I know are of a different kind.
while all western countries lived in reasonable harmony and had been developing their economic growth, Poland was squished between two "I want it all"countries Russia and Germany. They fight never flight for survival.
They attitude and characters are shaped by hard life.
Respect them and you got a friend for good and bad. They would give you the last shirt and the last slice of bread.

Partly true...because many Polish are kind, warm, welcoming people, really BEST of the Slavic race. Many are hope for the new Europe, but...avoid uneducated, rough, direct, too proud or just plain stupid ones, who rarely stick their noses outside their Country.
They are also VERY brave, sometimes naive...

The truth is, you get more natural people in Eastern Europe :
when they like you or not, you'll feel it soon...

Paris people are pretty nasty. It's a busy, overrated, tourist trap city. Outside of Paris, they are nicer, but kind of cold and dry. I don't know I find France overrated

I have a classmate that keeps shaming everyone for not doing their work/homework and orders people around with no empathy.

Such potential here. I dońt know what went wrong. It seems that many people there just lost sight of what a good life is supposed to be like, including how they treat each other and outsiders. I love a lot of things about the French and what they create. But that bitter culture of disrespect towards others that many of them have elevated to a sport needs to stop.

Everybody knows that French rudeness is just a stereotype. Most of the time it's just a misunderstanding due to cultural difference (hey you are in an other country, people don't think like you, when you travel you must to be open minded). Sometimes is just a reaction of French people when you are rude to them without knowing it.
I think it's overrated because there is so much tourists, especially in Paris : Parisians are hurry because they go to work and every stranger stop them to ask a question or block the passage. It's the same problem in every big city.
It's mathematic : lots of tourists means more upset tourists than in other countries.
Once I go to Venice, there are tourist traps everywhere, restaurants are expensive and the food is awful. In Great Britain there was a sign "no dogs, no French" in front of a shop, there is no such things in France against any country.

People living in England, particularly in London, and other parts of the South East, are ugly, obese, unhygienic, barely house-trained, rude, obnoxious, race-baiting, schizophrenic, sociopathic, gaslighting inbreds of all communities and cultures. They are sanctimonious hypocrites with bad genetics that constantly vote for their own demise and marry their own cousins. Also they have a diet of junk food, reality TV shows, social media, and lack of moral or ethical guidance. There are criminals on the streets and in uniform serving our corrupt police force, crooked councils, our kangeroo courts and in our bureaucratic Parliament.

There's a part in the UK, Where I live in that has people who weren't raised with that much manners, for example. Sometimes when they speak they ignore you (Which is quite normal) but do it a little bit too much, and instead of saying excuse me, they just say move.

Needy, alcoholic, attention seekers that have a disgusting accent and can't think. They're good to follow scripts and models. Apart from that, anything that requires self thinking, self control discipline is out of their capabilities. Old, medieval, they still idolize monarchy! Their "brains" are unable to reason and think critically. Give them a manual and a script and they will follow it strictly.

People boast their culture and language everywhere I go. They don't even slow down or lower the vocabulary level to non native English speakers which is so rude. Colonists

Another mixed bag of outrageously rude people and some amazingly nice individuals. Often a scary place if they decide you are an outsider and therefore suspicious at the very least, or the target of verbal abuse or refusal of service in the worst cases. You can see how the pre-unified Germany states created so much beauty intellectually, and musically-speaking for the world. The actual, modern, German state? Not so much.

Germans are rude, unattractive, weird, blunt, and angry. They have an awful history and nobody likes their food. Berlin seems cool, but people are ass hats there, Maybe in rural areas they are nicer?

On a personal level, the rudest people I've met have been German or Vietnamese. It's a culture thing, they can be super blunt and direct but it comes across as really rude

I grew up in Germany as a kid, and I hated it. I went to a candy shop once, and I was missing 3 cents and the German man who worked there didn't let me have my candy. I WAS EIGHT YEARS OLD. I didn't speak German, I only spoke English so everyone knew I was American. This obese German kid told me I was a "fat American" and punched me in the face. He obviously weighed about 70 more pounds than me though. At a playground, I was in line for the slide and an older German kid pushed me out of the way when it was my turn. He flipped me off on his way down. I hated going outside to play because of these adults and children. My mom asked me why I stayed home all the time and I used to cry and tell her about how much I missed America and wanted to go home.

I've spent since 1996 trying to understand Chinese. Lived around then dealt with tgem in Buisness. I've found them two faced back stabbing and sneaky. They would walk over the top of your child if they fell. They renig on deals and have little concern for life. Its sad as I've tried to make excuses for years for them but lately a Chinese association and its employees not only triwd to screw me over but failed. Very untidy outlook to sincerity. Would stab you in back at tge blink if an eye. Its sad. But over the last 20 years I've fpund the Chinese to bw nothing more than cruel opportunists with no regret or honourable intentions.

When I was little, me and my family would always go to this restaurant after taking the train. Whenever I had a sad look on my face, the waiters would cheer me up. Once, when the waiter served the food, he tapped my shoulder behind me and smiled while doing a silly face.
They would do anything to ensure their happiness of their costumers. I was very fortunate to not meet anyone rude, like what some comments say...

Everything about the country and the people are rude. From the airport to the hotel to the restaurants to the sidewalks. People routinely cut in front of you in line. They spit in front of you, use the sidewalk as a bathroom, and will not move out of your way while walking. Add in the constant loud talking whether on the phone or otherwise, and they are by far the rudest people on the planet.

I'm not Korean but their attitude just shows it at the recent completed pyeongchang winter olympics just proves it! Bunch of pathetic Chinese acting so uncivilized. With their horrible attitude at these past winter games in PyeongChang, I'm boycotting Beijing winter olympics.

Whoever voted for this, I'm done. Do you guys know why russians don't smile on the streets? (this makes them appear so much more ruder and angrier than they are) its because in Russia, it's considered impolite to smile at strangers in public. I'm russian, so I know firsthand - there is even a saying: "smiling without a reason is a sign of foolishness". Like come on! It's part of russian culture, leave us alone. If there's one russian (lower cap!) with a brain, it is a miracle. Can't think for themselves, love to do as told and follow a scripted life. Russians are not rude people, Tourists who go to saint petersburg they know the truth, but in Moscow yes it's kind tough! in Moscow live around 8 million Russian, but the rest are not Russians! and they come from East Asia, Ukraine and Caucasian countries and they are also very rude to russians.
Russians are very nice people, Just visit other cities where immegrants not located there and you will find the truth.

I am Bulgarian, have traveled to many countries in Europe, have lived in 2 other West European countries. And let me tell you, nowhere have I been treated as rudely as in my precious home Bulgaria. Not even by xenophobic people in other countries who knew I was non-native. Whatever anyone has told me abroad is nothing compared to what some Bulgarians have said or done. God forbid you have to go to the hospital, dentist, police, tax, post office, or somewhere to get something done in Bulgaria.

Bulgarians might suck up to foreigners. Bulgarians might suck up to higher-ups or other Bulgarians with money who give them gifts or bribes. Bulgarians might even suck up to pretty hot guys or girls.

I'm starting to see a pattern here-the people commenting here aren't actually commenting on how rude the locals are to tourists, but are really just venting about the country's attitude towards immigration which is why countries such as Poland, UK and America are around the top.

I'm Italian and don't listen to these idiots, Italians are not arrogant, they just have pride and confidence in themselves. When it comes to rudeness, it depends at the location. The south is full of short tempered and egotistic people, but the north is the complete opposite. Italians are not nasty and not demoralizing and they do not think they are best at everything, what the hell are these lunatics talking about. They're certainly not deranged, some people just need to explore and educate themselves more because most of these comments are completely false.

A very mixed bag of a country. However, the sheer abundance of jerks and the dirtiness , the latter especially in the south and in Rome, is jaw-dropping.

I met some rude police officers at passport control of Malpensa airport. One was very irritated and screaming at the foreigners to move fast. Very short temperd. I also had one who laughed at me when I submitted the document for consent of travel with small child. He looked young and less experienced so that he seemed like the face of having never seen those documents. I told him that I don't have time to cut it out, then he pointed his label of POLIZIA on his chest. What a Power harrasser!

Actually, it depends on the area but they're all rude in their own way here. In the north they're more homophobic than most of the Russian rightists. In the northeast, they just hate you for no apparent reason. In Lombardy they're just plain annoying, the only acceptation is Sicily but populated only by pure rednecks. No one is able to say 2 correct English words, any store is closed most of the time and are quite empty, only Italian products. But outside Italy it's quite acceptable.

Probably the most bipolar nation there is, always felt like I was treading on egg shells when in a restaurant in case any waiter or waitress snapped at me. Happened more than once, one time was because I asked to add a bottle of water to a meal, another time was that my friend ordered salmon, and instead of asking for two I asked for salmon also. Also never try to split a bill if you're out, it may be the last thing you do. Never witnessed so much dramatic people in my life.

I am Czech and most Czechs are selfish, ignorant and rude. It a remnant of socialistic culture, where everyone cared only about himself or closest family. Sure, there are many people who are nice and helpful, but every 4 years the selfishness crystalizes in parliamentary elections. Also Czechs like to cheat and have very low morale profile.

Well the Czech people are kind hearted and helpful. Prague is a wonderful capital city and there are lot of tourists from evrywhere around the world. My experience about the Czech republic is very positive, and I have some friends from the Czech repuplic also. I only can recommend this country to everybody!

I'm Czech, I love being helpful and all but no one ever repaid it to me, people here only care about their sake and always seem really annoyed by their jobs. I don't even enjoy going anywhere, especially in the main city.

I have positive memories from a journey to Serbia. People were kind, nice and hospitable. I can tell you just good words to Serbia and serbian people. I wish good luck in serbian and international football for Fc Crvena Zvezda.

I have visited Egypt before including Cairo and other villages, they are extremely intolerant to Americans and also as a black man they are very racist. in a village called AL Minya, as a black man, they threw stones at me calling me a black person in Arabic. Majority of Nigerian women are very rude with nasty attitude. They are jealous of naturally beautiful and humble mixed, Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European women because Nigerian men who are decent choose them over fake hair goldigging Nigerian women.

I have only spoken to a few Nigerian and Kenyan women and men, and I am alarmed by the angry tone, nearly sarcastic, and almost dismissive nature of those brief conversations and encounters. When a simple "good morning" or "have a nice day" can cause a negative reaction or questionable argument, then of course it becomes offensive because the negative reaction is abnormal behavior, especially in the southern states of America. It's so ridiculous and unnecessary. Sadly, a growing number of southern Americans are developing an understanding of intolerance towards Nigerians and Kenyans because of these interactions.

I know a man from Kosovo that lives in North America. He told me he doesn't trust women, or believe them. And he cheats on all of his girlfriends. He has a few of them at a time. And he hates Serbs.
