Top 10 Best Countries in Asia
Japan always seems to be ahead of everyone else when it comes to technology and culture. The country has a unique cultural evolution that adopts future ideas while preserving the best aspects of Asian culture that have been a part of it since ancient times.
Their attitude of mastery toward their professions, hobbies, sports, culinary arts, storytelling, anime, and the pursuit of truth and science is both obsessive and humbling. They embrace Western ideas and credit their inspirations. Japan has learned from past mistakes and never points fingers at anyone. It's a truly honorable culture that constantly contributes to the betterment of mankind. Additionally, they have beautiful women with stunning eyes and hair.
The Philippines is the best country in the world. It has the best people, the best food, the best islands, and the best beaches. It also has a very inspiring history, with brave people who have fought against invaders since the 1500s until 1946.
The Philippines has highly educated people and is one of the best English-speaking countries in Asia and the whole world. There's no doubt that the Philippines is the best country.
I have lived in South Korea and traveled to many other places in Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. However, I think it's truly the people and natural scenery that set the Philippines apart from the rest. Never in my world travels have I come across people as friendly and hospitable as the Filipinos. I love how easy it is for them to smile and laugh. I love how family-oriented they are.
They wouldn't think twice about inviting you to eat and drink with their family and friends. I was once on an island off of Bantayan, and a group of cousins invited me to play volleyball with them. Then one of their fathers invited me over for a seafood lunch and beer with the entire family. Before I left, he pointed his finger at my heart, looked me in the eyes, and said, "You are a good man." That will forever be a moment that reminds me of the beautiful people of the Philippines and the inspiring scenery, from the mountains to volcanic lakes to pristine beaches. Everyone I know has always mentioned how much they want to return to the Philippines, yet I am glad that I will soon call it home.
I personally think South Korea is a really cool country. It is one of the Asian Tigers and is currently one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. Korea also has a very rich culture, especially concerning food, and the people there are very nice.
Not only that, but Korea also has one of the best histories among the North-East Asian countries. Korea survived several Chinese invasions in the past, the Korean War (although it resulted in a split into two countries), and occupation by Japan. Technically speaking, Korea could have liberated itself from Japan, but the San Francisco Treaty came first.
In fact, Korea was one of the main trading areas of Asia from 918 CE to 1392 CE. Even before this period, Korea was also a major trade partner of Japan. Many aspects of Japanese culture are based on Korean traditional objects. Buddhism first came to Japan through Korea, and there were instances when Japan failed in its attempts to invade Korea and had to negotiate for trade relations to be re-established.
South Korea also fought against the Mongols when the Mongolian Empire began its conquests. Although they ultimately lost, they did win a few battles. Additionally, South Korea once defeated Russia in a battle.
India is the second-fastest-growing economy in Asia (third in the world). It has the largest population in the world, with 1.2 billion people. India is home to all the religions in the world and allows its citizens to practice their religion without any fear.
India is a militarily strong nation but never threatens any country just to use its weapons. India is culturally very strong. It is a peace-loving nation. You can enjoy full respect for your country while living in India. You may face some crowded regions, but that doesn't make it less beautiful. So, come to India.
I'm so proud to be part Singaporean! Even if I don't live there, my family and I get to visit every two years and stay with our relatives. It has great culture, food, and lots of activities. It is so clean and safe there, and it's beautiful.
There are lots of impressive buildings like the Marina Bay SkyPark, the Singapore Flyer, or the gorgeous skyline. Also, there are lots of activities like Universal Studios, Sentosa Island, Chinatown, the Jurong Bird Park, and even one of the best zoos in the world. The list just keeps going and going.
It's one of my favorite countries in the world.
There is a lot of anti-Chinese sentiment, mostly because people don't really understand what China is like. For those who have never been to China, they may view it as corrupt and messed up. While it is true that there is corruption in China (actually, there is a lot of corruption), let's not overlook how far China has come since the 1940s.
China has been trying its best to control pollution, and it has a huge population to take care of as well. It's hard to make everything perfect in a country as large as China. Reasons why China is a good country include its rich history and many preserved historical sites. Also, the people there are hard-working and honest. Please try to understand more about China before assuming that it is only a corrupt communist country and nothing else.
Oh boy, I love Thailand. I went there in 2013 and immediately fell in love with Bangkok and the islands in the south. The temples and architecture were amazing as well, and I liked the language and the people.
I would also recommend checking out the Muslim minorities who live in villages on the sea. They are extremely nice people. While Japan and South Korea rank higher for me, Thailand is my second favorite Asian country.
The only downside is the heat. I once had a lot of bugs in my house because it was so hot. I even saw an assassin bug, but the management came to take care of it.
I visited Taiwan with my family in April 2016, which was a great experience. It feels like Japan a little. Cherry blossoms bloomed everywhere. Also, food is great. I love walking around Tainan and Taipei.
Hotels are nice and clean. They have Gong Cha bubble tea. I loved Taroko National Park. When I visited Taiwan, it was my high school graduation present. Taiwan is a great country in Asia along with Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Taiwan's food is the best in Asia, and its people are filled with innovative and creative minds. This has always inspired me. The jaw-dropping, majestic mountains of Taiwan can be seen even at the corners and are easily accessible. I highly recommend that everyone visit them.
Traveling in Taiwan is extremely easy, even if you're alone. Even if you can't speak Mandarin, locals will try to assist you to the best of their abilities. As a cycling lover, I find that although the mountain tracks can be tiring, the view keeps you motivated to continue exploring the biologically diverse forests of Taiwan.
Additionally, because Taiwan is such a small island, there's an extremely high chance of spotting local celebrities, which makes me feel lucky. I hope I can live there one day.
For me, Malaysia is one of the toughest, most patient, and resilient countries in the world. They've been through a lot since the time they were colonized, and even today they continue to persevere. Despite the spread of lies and hatred in some regions of the world, Malaysia remains strong. Although racism and financial issues are still problems in certain parts of the country, the people unite and stand as one when it comes to defending their rights and the truth.
It's unfortunate that people spread false stories and negative information, causing national problems and attempting to tarnish Malaysia's reputation. Even the leaders of neighboring countries have spoken offensively about this beautiful and amazing nation. I hope that Malaysia continues to rise and becomes less fraught with issues. God bless this beautiful country named Malaysia!
A nice place with a combination of shopping, gourmet dining, and sightseeing. It is one of the safest places I have ever been, as safe as Japan. It has not been "polluted" by Mainland China.
One of the best places I have ever been to!
One of the only Special Administrative Regions (SARs) in the world, you can either shop hard or hike and explore the beauties. You can also easily cross the border to Shenzhen when you feel like eating true Chinese food.
Of course, Hong Kong, where East meets West, is a great place to live even if you don't speak any Chinese at all. It has a great transportation system, great and safe food, and is a tax-free port.
I went snorkeling there, and the sea is just beautiful! So clear! And the fish are so pretty! Now, every time I go snorkeling in another country, I end up disappointed because it's not as beautiful as Indonesia, and the colors of the fish are so dull.
Of course, the food is delicious too, and I really love walking around and exploring the street markets. The temples are also worth visiting, and there are a lot of tourist attractions. Definitely one of the best Asian countries in the world - no, scratch that - the best country in the world. After that comes Thailand, then Japan. What can I say? I love Asia.
Reasons to visit:
- Beaches are great (calm, sky blue)
- Scenery is beautiful
- Many visitor sites (underwater caves, hiking in the green mountains)
- Mostly hot or mildly warm in the spring and summer
- In the city, you can go out into the streets instead of waiting at a stoplight
- Cool aquariums
- Get your nails done for a cheap price (it's really cute!)
- A getaway to relaxation involves going out into the country to enjoy the crisp air and peaceful atmosphere

Vietnam is a perfect getaway from stress.
Culture is rich, weddings are world-famous, and the food is delicious. The hospitality is awesome, and the northern areas are worth visiting. Pakistan is incredibly rich and diverse in culture and traditions.
The culture, customs, and traditions of Pakistan comprise a mix of various cultures and groups. Being a historical country dating back thousands of years, Pakistan has adopted many cultures and traditions over time.
In the tribal areas, life has remained much the same as it was a hundred years ago. However, in cities, people are keeping pace with the modern age and technology. Different cultures and traditions can be seen at every kilometer and around every corner.
If considered an Asian country, Russia should have been first on the list. Russia has the second most powerful army in the world. Currently, it is playing an extremely important role in the Syrian civil war and has conquered Crimea, which was part of Ukraine.
Very powerful and beautiful country. The Cold War was so cool, but as for me, I like both America and Russia. These two powers should absolutely join hands for everlasting peace.
Russia is known for its rich history, as well as its contributions to chess, hockey, football, and tennis.
Advanced, hopeful, and always ready to tackle any challenge - that's what comes to mind when I think of Emiratis. The UAE is a nation born from dreams and ambitions. Against all odds and doubts, this nation has prospered.
No country in Asia has as much character and honor as the United Arab Emirates.
The city is awesome, where tradition and modernity coexist. It's well-known for its tall skyscrapers, including the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
I am from Pakistan, but I live in the United Arab Emirates due to my father's job. Oh man! I haven't traveled anywhere in three years!
I love Turkish culture, food, Istanbul, and my handsome husband is Turkish! I'm Filipino by the way, and I'm proud that the Philippines is number 1 on this list. However, I can't believe polluted China is ranked higher than Turkey.
In my opinion, this list is wrong. Turkey should be #4 or #5, respectively.
Turkey straddles two continents and many cultures. It is one of the most civilized and advanced countries in the Middle East, as well as one of the most developed.
You could spend a lifetime here discovering and still never see it all or travel to all corners. It's such a diverse country!
Why is Qatar so low? It may be tiny, but it's a great country. I hope to go there sometime soon.
Israel may not be all that popular with many Western nations besides America, but that doesn't change the fact that they are far more tolerant of the LGBT minority than not only all of Western Asia but much of Eastern Asia as well.
I am not Saudi Arabian. Actually, I am Pakistani, and I love Saudi Arabia. However, I am shocked that they would rank Saudi Arabia at number 20.
Saudi Arabia is among the safest countries in the world. I'm not saying it's the best, but living here is really cool. By the way, we have the cheapest gas for cars and it's of the best quality.
Also, you can easily make lots of friends here.
Saudi Arabia is the best! You should live there. The sand dunes are plentiful and they look amazing!
It is home of the famous Gurkhas whose name come from a small district in Nepal called Gorkha. The name Gorkha came from the legendary Indian sage Gorakhnath who did spent later part of his... read more
Actually, the name Nepal itself makes it awesome. Nepal is the country where the Light of Asia, Gautam Buddha, was born. It's also where the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest, lies. Not only that, except for the 2nd highest peak, Mt. K2, up to the 14th highest peak in the world lies in Nepal.
It's the best country in the world. It's also a really awesome country for hiking, mountain biking, and many other sports. Here, the longest natural bungee jump also exists, and there are rivers where people can enjoy rafting and kayaking, among other things. I'm proud to be called Nepali.
Sri Lanka, the wonder of Asia, is filled with romantic landscapes, governed by rising mountains, lush forests, ocean-like tanks, and gushing waterfalls. It has been considered a lost paradise by many globe-trotters who stumbled upon the country.
The golden beaches of the country have been praised for their picture-postcard views since eternity. The dusk and dawn, as well as many human activities connected to these times of the day, create a vibrant picture along the coasts of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is the best country in the world - best people, best food, best islands, and best beaches. It has a very inspiring history with very brave people who fought against invaders from the 1500s until 1946. It has very educated people.
One of the best English-speaking countries in Asia and in the whole world - no doubt, Sri Lanka is the best country!
Compared to all the other countries, Mongolians know how to treat people as if they're family. They are definitely talented too! I mean, who else can ride a horse at the age of 3? I've visited there before, and all around me were smiles and laughter.
They are also amazing cooks and extremely intelligent. We should adopt their educational system here in the U.S. Sixth graders are already learning high school material over there. They are also respectful and know how to have a great time. But their best quality is how they preserve their culture and history, such as Genghis Khan, who ruled the largest empire known to mankind. They make their parents and grandparents proud. No question about it, they are the best people ever.
Azerbaijan is the best place in the world! It is the most tolerant country. Also, there are educated and peaceful people here. There are so many places to visit in any season.
I love this country. May Allah bless Azerbaijan! Amen.
Azerbaijan has a beautiful culture and musical traditions.
Bhutan is the last Shangri-La in the world, known for being independent at all times, despite its small size and modest military base. It is very clean and is the only country that is carbon negative. More than 70% of the country is under forest cover, and it is one of the 10 hotspots of biodiversity in the world.
People are kind and welcoming. Happiness is a top priority, and it is a very peaceful country. Bhutan is great!
Bhutan is a beautiful country that exists in the Asian region. It is eco-friendly and a very clean and green country. It is a peaceful country under the guidance of the king.
If you hear about Cambodia or the Khmer people, you should know their signature trait: they are the Kings of Smile. Cambodians really like to make friends and are full of smiles.
If you can get a real Khmer friend, I can say you are very lucky.
Cambodia has a uniquely preserved jungle and forest with temples. It's a place worth visiting at least once in your lifetime. It has inspired me so much that I would love to live there.
Well, if you get to know Cambodia a little better, it's not that bad. It's pretty safe and secure. The people are very friendly and helpful too.
