Some bands are overrated but that doesn't mean that they are bad.
Here are some overrated bands which are also good and even great and influential, but I just believe that they are getting too much credit.
1 Led Zeppelin

This was actually a topic of discussion at the dinner table recently. My family loves the Beatles and I started talking about how they overrated. I never said they were bad, though. The Beatles are great. They're just not *that* great.
I love the Beatles A LOT. I just prefer Queen.

This is a tricky one. The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are two of the most successful albums of all time. But they are both great, particularly the former. However not many know of their true prog defining albums such as Animals and Meddle. - IronSabbathPriest
They are great but I don't think they are overrated - just compare them with their counterparts from the same era: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones.
Pink Floyd were never that popular but I personally think Pink Floyd are better than all these 3 bands. Which makes me think Pink Floyd are rather underrated. - Metal_Treasure
