Top Ten Songs of 2017 According to Rolling Stone

Of course, like every year, the prestigious Rolling Stone magazine made a list featuring the best songs of 2017.

While I generally like the songs on their list much more than those selected by the German website laut.de (I also created a TTT list about their top 10 of the year), it is also very clear they picked their items by popularity.
Laut.de tried their best to ignore or even prevent the mainstream opinion, which resulted in their list to come off as pretentious, while Rolling Stone fully embraced it, becoming predictable and lacking much personality.
I think the right way is somewhere in between, taking into account both popular music and more independent, lesser known works, judging them by what their respective audience thinks of them.
Of course, this only goes for professional critics and journalists, which both magazines/websites claim to be. Personal lists, for example compiled by individual bloggers, should be entirely subjective.

Oh, and "Bad and Boujee" was released in 2016. But I know, it topped the US charts in 2017 and the album it is on is also from 2017.
